Bar Louie - Westgate Entertainment District

We came to Bar Luis on Christmas Day. The service was a little slow, but the staff was wonderful and did a phenomenal job—especially considering it was a holiday and they were likely short-staffed. The food was amazing, and we had a great time overall. We truly appreciate them taking the time to serve others on a holiday when they could have been spending time with their families.

I absolutely LOVE Bar Louie, I went all the time when I lived in Michigan! I went to this location and the EFFEN Good martini was the most delicious and refreshing drink I’ve had in a while! It’s a cucumber based martini and tastes like something you’d want to drink on a hot summer night. As for the food, I get the same thing every time; the loaded tots. There was only cheese and toppings on about 6 tater tots which is okay because I wasn’t too hungry anyway. I just thought it was funny. Anywho, I’d recommend the fried chicken sandwich, really any Martini (because they’re so good!), and the spinach and artichoke dip!

The bar service is quick and friendly. Despite heavy foot traffic in the entertainment district Bar Louie did not seem very busy. I arrived when they first opened. It was evident they needed more help . Within the first hour additional help arrived. Placing a lunch order for food still took a long wait. The atmosphere was great which softened that wait. Overall it was a fun experience and I would definitely return. Also, they are a dog friendly establishment.

On our annual girls vacay and happened into the restaurant. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. We were thinking about another restaurant and she gave us water and told us to take our time thinking about whether we wanted to stay or not. Of course, we stayed and were glad we did. The drinks were so refreshing and delicious. I ordered fried pickles to start. They were amazing with their dipping sauce. Our food was perfectly prepared. When we were ready to leave, she separated our bill easily at the table. The experience was wonderful. The atmosphere was incredible. I would recommend it stopping here.

Stopped by Bar Louie at Westgate and instantly fell in love with the Wild Berry Margarita 🍓🍇 only 230 calories and absolutely delicious! Fruity, refreshing, and just the right mix of sweet and tart. The vibe was on point. Good music, good crowd, and just an all-around fun spot anytime. Definitely my new favorite place for a margarita! 🍹 Warning: one sip and you’re hooked. 😉

We waited an hour before we were told the kitchen was out of half of the food we ordered and we were asked to order something else. Then the food that did come out was "what we could come up with" and cold mac and cheese. The manager said the cook had to leave so that is why things were unavailable. We were offered a 10% discount for not having our drinks refilled, not getting over half of our food, and absolutely no communication for an hour. The same discount given for just being law enforcement who someone in our party was anyway. There was no accountability from the server, who could have communicated with us before I received lettuce with whole chicken fingers on top trying to be passed off as a chopped salad, on top of everything else. The bathroom was also really dirty with no paper towels in any of the dispensers.

Great happy hour! Enjoyed the 3 course combo and a few happy hour items Uvia was a great server, taking good care of us.

Came in for my Birthday the food was great service was great and drinks where even better!

Walked in, not too many people. Music loud (but not too loud). Took 4 minutes to get greeted :( .. was gonna leave at 5 minutes. Anyway, was greeted by Diana. She did great; she was kind, patience, and helpful. She made me a blackberry Grand Lemon Drop... YUM! I love Bar Louie! I've been to the one in Tempe also as well as the one in Detroit, MI. They have a good ambience!!

The list is long. While I do understand that a game on Sunday might create a lot more patrons, I was here the night before. The level of inattentive service on both days was ridiculous ( yes, my fault for forgiving the first night's ineptitude.) We had 4 people at our table on both nights; the service was deplorable. The server forgot our drinks, left us without drinks for 20 minutes at a time, and just failed in general in serving food and drinks. We came back on Sunday (post game) and had the same server; I don't know why I wanted to repeat the same experience but I did. We came in after the Cardinals game and were sat with the same server from the night before. I was hoping that maybe it was an anomaly; it was not. I had two separate couples over two nights, both of which were frustrated and we were too. The night of the game, they had a truncated menu and half of the drink menu was unavailable. Our drinks were served in plastic cups that when we tried to stack them, we realized that they were not even the same size...meaning that they are not serving you the same amount. SMH The server spent time with conversations with people that may have been her friends but it shouldn't have been consequential. She failed so many times to stay on top of our food and drink orders, I will not be back, nor will any of my guests. Restaurants and bars are already a tough business, but it starts with ownership, trickles down to management, and end up with employees that simply don't care. 'Worst experience I have had in years. Avoid this place like the plague. So bad. I will not be back and I will gladly save hundreds of dollars.

We went to Bar Louie for an early happy hour and dinner. Unfortunately, the San Antonio location close to us has closed down. We were glad to see one here in Westgate. Hubby and I both had the Havana Classic Mojito and Dad had Lemonade. We had the combo, which came with a Side Salad, a Beer-Battered Fish Sandwich, and Donut Poppers. We all shared the Beef Sliders. We had just enough food for us to enjoy and fill our bellies. Happy hour is a great time to check this place out. Highly recommend this spot!

The ac was not working at one of the bars next door. It was too hot to stay, so we came to Bar Louie. We came to Westgate to pre-drink and eat some food before the cardinals vs chiefs preseason game, go chiefs! The restaurant was able to accommodate 20 of us towards the back of the bar which was nice for our big group. The restaurant has big glass windows in the back so you can keep an eye on the kids if they need to run around outside. We shared cheese curds, spinach artichoke dip and pepperoni flat bread. I really liked their cheese curds, they had a nice crunch to them. I was hoping for some game day drink specials, but unfortunately, on game day they don't offer drink specials. That's not fun.

Drinks were yummy! Food was flavorful. Great location in the entertainment district. We ate at the bar and the bartenders were nice. They were easily able to make accommodations for my dietary restrictions. We will return when in the area!

You've been here twice now and it have enjoyed both experiences. On game day, it is a fun and lively atmosphere. During the week, it's a great spot to enjoy some drinks and some appetizers for happy hour on the patio. Service is always good. Friendly and fast. Their drinks are really good and a great deal during happy hour.

The bald manager was a complete asshole. Was harassing the females in our group. The waiter Gavin was delightful. Security prevented an elephant attack. Food sucked.

Service was great , got greeted once we sat down and the bartenders were very attentive the whole time . Food was fire , I love the wings here BUT if you zoom in my wing it had hairs on it killed my appetite .The burgers are a must try as well . Place is clean and looks really nice

Food is beyond amazing. Our server was an absolute doll, and we secured some seats to watch the fountain. Definitely recommend this place !!

Meals took forever to come out. They were also wrong. Then got cheesecake to go. That took over 30 minutes to come out. Tables don't get bussed which is weird. Plates and empty cups just stayed on the table to whole time even while we waited the 30+ min for cheesecake. Server kept saying he will go check on it but still never came out. If we would have known that, we wouldn't have gotten any.

A little bit disappointed... that I can't eat here as much anymore! I think it was mark who helped me out, chill guy, attentive, but we can't take our $7 burgers togo anymore :( we live at the Lofts just above and we came here religiously on Tuesdays. However their burgers are soooooooo good and even what they're regularly priced at, it's worth it! Their tots and fries are very well seasoned, any all the staff are friendly and attentive! TLDR: Sad I can't take my $7 burgers togo maybe I'll just sit down and eat, burgers are out of this world and worth every penny. Thanks bar Louie! Your burgers are worth more than $7!

Once the servers showed up they were nice. Not attentive though, and there were few tables that they were covering. The hot honey and bacon flat bread was good. My chicken strips lacked flavor, even salt, and the ranch was bland. Not worth the time to get served, glad I did not have a schedule to keep!

We were in the area for graduation and wanted to meet for happy hour. This was the consensus and we headed over here. Plenty of seating with some patio tables but it was midday and warm so we opted to sit on a high-top table inside. Our server was friendly and offered suggestions for drinks and bites. I got a Sprite and we shared appetizers from their HH menu. I enjoyed the pretzels bites with the spicy queso, the truffle and asparagus flatbread, the truffle fries with aioli and the fried calamari with sweet & sour sauce. All were delicious! I also got the trio dips and chips which I probably shouldn't have cuz we were sharing quite a bit of food and this was a large serving. It was good though, I liked the salsa, guacamole and cheese dip. Overall we enjoyed our time here and I'd recommend it as a restaurant. Lots of seating and great service.

Bar Louie is always a good bet for some happy hour drinks and apps. We met up with some coworkers a couple weeks ago here. We went around 4:30pm on Tuesday and there was barely anyone else there. Server was friendly and checked in frequently. The food was good. We shared the Salmon Sliders and the Truffle Mushroom & Asparagus Flatbread. The drinks were also good but didn't seem very strong.

The Yelp site said they are open until 1am. We showed up on Weds at 1145pm, and before we could sit down we were told "last call" was over, and they were closing in 15min. The hours on the door show open until 1am only on Friday & Saturday. Also, prices are high because they are located inside the Westgate entertainment area, near the courtyard fountains.

Enjoyed my meal but was overcharged for a house red wine during happy hour hour. My $7 glass cost me $12.49. Waitress said cuz it's a blend. I never asked for a blend. She just smiled. I tried to report it via their website but it keeps dying when it's submitted and doesn't transmit. Unacceptable. Watch your bill before signing on their tablet. When you're showed the screen to pay, it's on the tip menu already.

We came here after reviewing the menu and had a couple drinks and an app (cheese curds) and then tried to order our meal ... we wanted the steak frites but they said they were out, so we were considering the shrimp & grits or Monterrey chicken but our server at the bar overheard and said they were also out of the shrimp and grits. So we got the chicken and it was fine Overall it was ok but having so many items out was annoying. Drinks - 4 Food we did have - 3 Overall experience - 2.5

My dirty Martini with blue cheese olives was excellent! By far one the best drinks I had in a min! Paired with the truffle fries! Omg heaven! I definitely recommend you won't be sorry!

Decent bar food. A little overpriced for what it is. Service is hit and miss. Ambience is a lot of fun. It's in the middle of Westgate. A great place to take a fun date.

Jordi did an amazing job with all our requests and 5 ladies gabbing and being loud. What a gem! The food came exactly as we ordered it too so he did a great job!

Terrible experience tonight. Went to a concert at the Desert Diamond Arena. Went to grab some food (wings and a beer) at this establishment around 11:30 and was told they couldn't serve me because I was intoxicated? When I inquired (because I was fine) they told me my eyelids appeared tired and they couldn't serve me. Keep in mind this waitress had not even spoken to me yet. We asked to talk to a manager and they told me they could not serve us. Again, they had not had any interaction with us, only a security person that checked our ID on entry and another person passed our table several times as we were debating on what to order. What a super judgmental place! And then when we decided not to give them our business and leave they had the audacity to have security follow us to our car. I will never do business with this company. There are many other choices to dine in this area like yard house, etc. Honestly no clue what contributed to their behavior. Not to be a Karen, but highly offended. No bar Louie in my future!!!

Nice bar! My brother and I had a great time here. We ordered their wild berry margarita and tried their sangria as well. Both were very flavorful drinks. We shared the chicken nachos and I was impressed by how delicious they were. I promise it wasn't because I was drinking. These nachos were beyond good and I wish i had an empty stomach to try more food but I will come back for that reason. Recommend this bar if you're in the area. Try their nachos !

We really liked it here. We sat at the bar so we could watch golf which was fun. The food was okay. I would skip the bone in wings and go boneless for sure. My husband didn't really care for the burger but the fries were good. The bartender checked on us often and was friendly.

After a near deafening and awful experience at a bar nearby we desperately needed to gain our hearing back and save our night with better service, drinks and service. We found that at Bar Louie on Saturday, I was shocked to walk into such a beautiful yet empty spot. The bar was beautiful, clean and noise level actually manageable. I knew this was our spot. As we found a seat at the bar others started to trickle in. We were greeted quickly and given some menus to look over. The beer on tap was quite large and I loved the cocktail options. There were two bartenders so we didn't have to wait long when we needed a new drink etc. the staff was friendly and efficient. The furniture didn't look cheap, seats cozy and if you wanted to sit at a table to eat they were great size. Did I mention they have a second room with another bar and beer on tap. It was not being used Saturday, but in busy days they definitely have the room. There is also outside seating. We did not try any food this go round, but it looked like they had some tasty options. My review is solely based on the bar area. I loved the lonestar strawberry lemonade as well as the lemon drop. Beer was cold and good. Prices are what you expect from west gate especially with cocktails. We'll definitely be back. From start to finish we enjoyed our experience.

Wish we were past paying $$ for sides of sauce yall. Got dry ahh chicken wings and had to pay for more sauce. Cmon now guys it's 2025. Also had a lot of grit and bone in my cheese streak sandwhich. Bruschetta was fire though.

We have dined here before and overall it has been a four-star experience. Tonight was the exception. It was a solid two-stars. There was a car show going on with live music, so I thought that we would sit nearby to enjoy the festivities. Upon arriving, we were seated outdoors, under a restaurant speaker which conflicted with the live music. We asked to be seated in another section and were told that the server in that section might be slow to got to us. That was an understatement! But we were patient. It took probably 15 minutes for the waiter to show and another 15 - 20 minutes to get the beer that I ordered. Meanwhile, the couple next to us got impatient and left after not seeing a server for 15 minutes. Okay, I finally got my draft beer. It was good and helped with the wait. Our server was a nice guy but was either new or not particularly motivated. About 15 minutes after receiving my beer, our order was finally taken. After a good long wait, my wife received her salad. And I waited, and I waited. After she was half through her meal, mine finally showed. Either the chef or manager apologized saying that the first batch of chicken didn't turn out well, so they re-made it. I had ordered the Deep South Mac and Cheese. The Mac and Cheese itself was a nice bend of cheese and pretty good. The chicken nuggets were different. I really liked the spicy rub that they used, but it tasted like catfish. I wondered if that came from the fryer grease or if it was the rub. Still it was an intriguing flavor. My wife had the house salad. She said it was just okay. She also had the French Onion Soup. Probably the worst I've ever had. It was served in a shallow pan filled mostly with bread. All-in-all, the service was horrid on this night and the food, just okay. They do have a nice location and good beer, I just hope the service improves. I would hate to see another restaurant shut down is Westgate. But after an experience like last night, I doubt many would return. I wish hem the best.

Such a cool vibing place with disappointing food. We were visiting from California for baseball tournament and we decided on this place. The ambiance is cool, place is clean with plenty of seating for large groups. The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the staff. Serving a group of 30+ is no easy task. They were all helpful and had a lot of patience to say the least! No easy task serving 11 families + kids! But then we got our food... every was just ok. My food was bland and to top it off cold.. as soon as they brought my food I could tell it wasn't cooked enough to even be hot enough to eat. I didn't feel like speaking up only because we came in with such a large group.. everyone just settled on food choices. No one was thrilled on any of their picks and it's unfortunate. Having such a limited menu definitely calls for perfection and it missed the mark. Hopefully they take all this as positive constructive boost so they can continue to thrive in this economy

This place was a lifesaver as hubby and I couldn't eat anywhere else due to overcrowding from the football game fans. We located 2 seats at the bar to snuggle into. We were instantly greeted by Tony who made this visit everything. We typically don't eat at this chain restaurant because we had one locally that struggled a little in the food preparation dept. Welp, this place wasn't that much different as we ordered Louie's Choice Cheeseburger, Long Island Iced Tea, The Staycation, Boneless Buffalo Wings and Tater Tots. Super long wait. They were super busy. Hubby said he liked his burger. My boneless wings were overcooked and less than room temperature when they arrived to the table. Tater Tots were luke warm. Sent those boneless wings back w the swiftness. I know... what's good about this place then right? 1 We found seats so we were able to sit and watch my Ravens. 2 Our drinks (Long Island Iced Tea & The Staycation) were PERFECTLY crafted by Tony. 3 Attentiveness of all the staff that always checked on us when they passed by. 4 Great conversation by Tony. 5 Comfy and clean environment. I'll give this place a 4/5 on customer service and environment. The food issues, can be fixed.

My group of friends and I are regulars at Bar Louie! They are always fast, friendly, attentive, talented in their craft and offer a great environment! Andrew and Dylan are amazing!!

This was our first time eating at Bar Louie. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess. Once seated we received excellent service from Vanessa! She was attentive and knowledgeable.

Everything went well. Food was great! We had the most exceptional service from our server Thomas. He was amazing! Best service I have ever received! Will definitely be back.

Looking for a reasonable priced drinks and appetizers option prior to going to a concert at the former Coyotes Arena? You have found it This was not my first time I've gone here for drinks with friends prior to a concert on the Westside. It won't be my last. Sadly, Bar Louie's happy hour prices have gone up. However, it seems like most things have these days. They're still very reasonable for beers, flatbreads, and other appetizers during their happy hour. As a bonus, if the concerts on a Tuesday it's half price burger night also. I don't like the pay for nearby parking that kicks in prior to a concert. However, Bar Louie's knocks the price of parking off of the bill if you show your pre-event, paid parking stub.

A cute place for food and drink. I found them on the 4th of July! Out with my daughter, we were just looking for something to snack on! Walking into a big open concept. The bar is smack dab in the middle. I like it! The Bartender can see all tables and bar tops from most angles! Clever! We ordered their Grilled Cheese Sandwich with loaded fries. The Sandwich came out and it was perfect. Crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. It was paired alongside a small bowl of tomato bisque! The soup was almost better than our sandwich! Full of flavor, I had to dip the sandwich in the soup! Match made in heaven. I also tried a beer that was tasty. I totally forgot the name though. My server picked it out for me. Nice draft menu and they have happy hour! I will be back!!!!!!!!

The food, service and ambiance was so amazing!Ordered the Cajun Salmon and Shrimp and the depth of flavors was amazing. Also tried the Shrimp and Grits and aall I can say is Wow! And I lived in the south for years and have tried some of the best Shrimp and Grits and this dish beats all of those.

Our server Gavin was awesome! He served us and the food in a timely manner. Even though it was Christmas Eve he had good spirits and we are very thankful for that since it was a birthday dinner for me. He recommended a drink I didn't think about it and it was so good! I normally don't order martinis. We would definitely come back here for another time!

My daughter and I went there for lunch on a Sunday around 11 and it was empty. However, the staff was amazing and so attentive and kind. Our waitress, Vanessa, was such a doll!! She recommended adding grenadine to my daughter's lemonade to make it fancy and my daughter loved it! She recommended getting the app as random guests get a free appetizer when they set up an account. We did!! The food was delicious and service even better. I wish there was a Bar Louie in the southeast valley, but we will always go if we happen to be in the West Valley!

Gavin provided great service. He's attentive, Friendly and, accommodating! The food was hot and the drinks were smooth.

All I'm gonna say is PATTYMELT...I always get the quesadilla or chicken wings and tots, but my new favorite is the pattymelt. The HH menu has great options also. And Stacey will make any drink you ask to perfection! The vibe is always good and the staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely my go to spot for any occasion. Thx Bar Louie

Getting there: Located at 6770 N. Sunrise Blvd, it's easy to find and there's plenty of parking nearby. Experience: If you're looking for a fun spot to grab some drinks and snacks, Bar Louie in Glendale's Westgate Entertainment District is a great choice. I highly recommend trying their boneless buffalo wings. The bbq were flavorful and had just the right amount of kick. Their lemon drop martinis are also a must-try, especially on Martini Mondays when they're discounted. Oh, and their loaded tots are a must-try! While the food was good, I would say it's just average bar food - nothing particularly exceptional, but still tasty. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is great for a night out with friends. Overall, I had a great experience at Bar Louie and would definitely recommend it for a casual night out.

I had a great experience. We went for a concert and had drinks and half price appetizers before. I had a Jack and coke which as simple as it sounds isn't always good. Bar Louie got it right. Also I had a chicken quesadilla which was as good if not better than any of the Mexican restaurants in town. Service was also great and we had a big party of ten that arrived at all different times to make it as tough as possible on the poor server. I wish I caught her name because she deserves props I'll be back for sure not sure why it took me so long to try this place
