Bar Louie - Westgate Entertainment District

On our annual girls vacay and happened into the restaurant. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. We were thinking about another restaurant and she gave us water and told us to take our time thinking about whether we wanted to stay or not. Of course, we stayed and were glad we did. The drinks were so refreshing and delicious. I ordered fried pickles to start. They were amazing with their dipping sauce. Our food was perfectly prepared. When we were ready to leave, she separated our bill easily at the table. The experience was wonderful. The atmosphere was incredible. I would recommend it stopping here.

First time there. Wife and I went there before Rattlers game. Place was empty when we got there on a Sunday at 1:30. Our server Jordy was exceptional with our party of 12. Wife and I split the chicken nachos. I would not order that again. Toppings only on the top. Hardly anything on the majority of the chips. We might give the food another try. We would definitely give Jordy another try.

We had such a great time at Bar Louie! The drinks and desserts were delicious, but the real highlight of the night was our server, Allie. Even though she’s only 19, she was incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and drinks menu—she gave great recommendations and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. We tried the Midnight Berry Margarita, the Strawberry Lemonade Martini, and 2 glasses of the Butter Chardonnay—each one was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. The desserts were just as impressive and made the perfect sweet ending to our evening. Allie was kind, attentive, and confident, which really made our visit memorable. Shoutout to the Bar Louie team—especially Allie—for making our night so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

Great food, amazing service, a bit hot didn't seem like there was ac and if there were fans they didn't do much

After a near deafening and awful experience at a bar nearby we desperately needed to gain our hearing back and save our night with better service, drinks and service. We found that at Bar Louie on Saturday, I was shocked to walk into such a beautiful yet empty spot. The bar was beautiful, clean and noise level actually manageable. I knew this was our spot. As we found a seat at the bar others started to trickle in. We were greeted quickly and given some menus to look over. The beer on tap was quite large and I loved the cocktail options. There were two bartenders so we didn’t have to wait long when we needed a new drink etc. the staff was friendly and efficient. The furniture didn’t look cheap, seats cozy and if you wanted to sit at a table to eat they were great size. Did I mention they have a second room with another bar and beer on tap. It was not being used Saturday, but in busy days they definitely have the room. There is also outside seating. We did not try any food this go round, but it looked like they had some tasty options. My review is solely based on the bar area. I loved the lonestar strawberry lemonade as well as the lemon drop. Beer was cold and good. Prices are what you expect from west gate especially with cocktails. We’ll definitely be back. From start to finish we enjoyed our experience.

Visiting from California, decided to spend the evening at the Firework Fest at Westgate entertainment district. After the show we walked in Bar Louie to grab a bite to eat. Area had many places to pick from and I can gladly say no regrets The waitress that attended to us provided us with excellent service. She has an amazing personality and extremely attentive to us. I also have to mention that Jaime the manager was also very attentive and welcoming. Definitely look forward to returning when we are back in the Arizona area.

What a neat place to chill at! Me and my family ordered the Trio Dips & Chips and grazed while we enjoyed our drinks. I gave four stars because the salsa was a little cilantro heavy, but the guac and queso were superb! Wonderful music playing and a great waitress made the experience all the more enjoyable! There has never been a worse dining experience in the time of dining. Wow. We were greeted by a distressed hostess which was symbolic of our soon to be nightmare experience. Drinks took about 30 minutes to get. We waited OVER 100 MINUTES for the food to brought out cold, wrong and completely missing items. The manager said they were plating our food and it would be out in 5 minutes, twice. It still took another 20+ minutes. When the food finally did arrive the server straight up didn’t even know if the kitchen had the right order. Utter chaos. Drink orders were wrong, we ordered the same beer 5 times and a different beer came out every time. None of them correct by the way... They were completely understaffed and one of the servers literally walked out and quit on his shift. The fire alarm went off at the tail end of dinner. We complained to the manager and all they did was take 10% off our bill. Upon paying there was no itemized receipt, so I had one emailed to me…. Only later to realize we were still charged for items we never received. I can not comprehend how this restaurant is still in business. The manager of this place should be fired and they should quite frankly shut this crap hole down. I can’t recommend you avoid this place enough.

A little bit disappointed... that I can't eat here as much anymore! I think it was mark who helped me out, chill guy, attentive, but we can't take our $7 burgers togo anymore :( we live at the Lofts just above and we came here religiously on Tuesdays. However their burgers are soooooooo good and even what they're regularly priced at, it's worth it! Their tots and fries are very well seasoned, any all the staff are friendly and attentive! TLDR: Sad I can't take my $7 burgers togo maybe I'll just sit down and eat, burgers are out of this world and worth every penny. Thanks bar Louie! Your burgers are worth more than $7!

Drinks were yummy! Food was flavorful. Great location in the entertainment district. We ate at the bar and the bartenders were nice. They were easily able to make accommodations for my dietary restrictions. We will return when in the area!

We came here after reviewing the menu and had a couple drinks and an app (cheese curds) and then tried to order our meal ... we wanted the steak frites but they said they were out, so we were considering the shrimp & grits or Monterrey chicken but our server at the bar overheard and said they were also out of the shrimp and grits. So we got the chicken and it was fine Overall it was ok but having so many items out was annoying. Drinks - 4 Food we did have - 3 Overall experience - 2.5

You've been here twice now and it have enjoyed both experiences. On game day, it is a fun and lively atmosphere. During the week, it's a great spot to enjoy some drinks and some appetizers for happy hour on the patio. Service is always good. Friendly and fast. Their drinks are really good and a great deal during happy hour.

Jordi did an amazing job with all our requests and 5 ladies gabbing and being loud. What a gem! The food came exactly as we ordered it too so he did a great job!

The Yelp site said they are open until 1am. We showed up on Weds at 1145pm, and before we could sit down we were told "last call" was over, and they were closing in 15min. The hours on the door show open until 1am only on Friday & Saturday. Also, prices are high because they are located inside the Westgate entertainment area, near the courtyard fountains.

Bar Louie was amazing! Order the berry Martini & get the donut holes! Vanessa was the best waitress ever! Highly recommend!

We were in the area for graduation and wanted to meet for happy hour. This was the consensus and we headed over here. Plenty of seating with some patio tables but it was midday and warm so we opted to sit on a high-top table inside. Our server was friendly and offered suggestions for drinks and bites. I got a Sprite and we shared appetizers from their HH menu. I enjoyed the pretzels bites with the spicy queso, the truffle and asparagus flatbread, the truffle fries with aioli and the fried calamari with sweet & sour sauce. All were delicious! I also got the trio dips and chips which I probably shouldn't have cuz we were sharing quite a bit of food and this was a large serving. It was good though, I liked the salsa, guacamole and cheese dip. Overall we enjoyed our time here and I'd recommend it as a restaurant. Lots of seating and great service.

Bar Louie is always a good bet for some happy hour drinks and apps. We met up with some coworkers a couple weeks ago here. We went around 4:30pm on Tuesday and there was barely anyone else there. Server was friendly and checked in frequently. The food was good. We shared the Salmon Sliders and the Truffle Mushroom & Asparagus Flatbread. The drinks were also good but didn't seem very strong.

Nice bar! My brother and I had a great time here. We ordered their wild berry margarita and tried their sangria as well. Both were very flavorful drinks. We shared the chicken nachos and I was impressed by how delicious they were. I promise it wasn't because I was drinking. These nachos were beyond good and I wish i had an empty stomach to try more food but I will come back for that reason. Recommend this bar if you're in the area. Try their nachos !

All I'm gonna say is PATTYMELT...I always get the quesadilla or chicken wings and tots, but my new favorite is the pattymelt. The HH menu has great options also. And Stacey will make any drink you ask to perfection! The vibe is always good and the staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely my go to spot for any occasion. Thx Bar Louie

Decent bar food. A little overpriced for what it is. Service is hit and miss. Ambience is a lot of fun. It's in the middle of Westgate. A great place to take a fun date.

While the location and ambience would make for a fun night our experience was not that. We arrived at 4pm ish and ordered cocktails and food. The cocktails were quite good but we can't weigh in on the food as the 2 flat breads we ordered never came. We ordered a second round of drinks in the form of a pitcher of their sangria and when the bus boy brought it he failed to bring glasses and he failed to pick up our empty glasses to make room for new glasses. When the bus boy came back bearing sangria glasses we asked that he remove the dirties. Clearly the staff is not well trained.....We were there for over an hour and fifteen minutes. We did ask our server about our food order after about 45 minutes and were told the kitchen was working on it. Nope 30 minutes later we decided to leave. We voiced our disappointment to the manager and were told yes they were understaffed and there was nothing he could do. While we left hungry and disappointed an offer to comp even 1/2 of our cocktail bill would have softened our disappointment. Would not recommend this place to friend or family ever.

We really liked it here. We sat at the bar so we could watch golf which was fun. The food was okay. I would skip the bone in wings and go boneless for sure. My husband didn't really care for the burger but the fries were good. The bartender checked on us often and was friendly.

This was our first time eating at Bar Louie. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess. Once seated we received excellent service from Vanessa! She was attentive and knowledgeable.

Such a cool vibing place with disappointing food. We were visiting from California for baseball tournament and we decided on this place. The ambiance is cool, place is clean with plenty of seating for large groups. The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the staff. Serving a group of 30+ is no easy task. They were all helpful and had a lot of patience to say the least! No easy task serving 11 families + kids! But then we got our food... every was just ok. My food was bland and to top it off cold.. as soon as they brought my food I could tell it wasn't cooked enough to even be hot enough to eat. I didn't feel like speaking up only because we came in with such a large group.. everyone just settled on food choices. No one was thrilled on any of their picks and it's unfortunate. Having such a limited menu definitely calls for perfection and it missed the mark. Hopefully they take all this as positive constructive boost so they can continue to thrive in this economy

Waited 30 minutes for a server. Had to go to hostess and request a server for my table. For some reason, the waitress did not want to serve me so a waiter from another section served me when he had time. Will NEVER return to this location.

Getting there: Located at 6770 N. Sunrise Blvd, it's easy to find and there's plenty of parking nearby. Experience: If you're looking for a fun spot to grab some drinks and snacks, Bar Louie in Glendale's Westgate Entertainment District is a great choice. I highly recommend trying their boneless buffalo wings. The bbq were flavorful and had just the right amount of kick. Their lemon drop martinis are also a must-try, especially on Martini Mondays when they're discounted. Oh, and their loaded tots are a must-try! While the food was good, I would say it's just average bar food - nothing particularly exceptional, but still tasty. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is great for a night out with friends. Overall, I had a great experience at Bar Louie and would definitely recommend it for a casual night out.

We have dined here before and overall it has been a four-star experience. Tonight was the exception. It was a solid two-stars. There was a car show going on with live music, so I thought that we would sit nearby to enjoy the festivities. Upon arriving, we were seated outdoors, under a restaurant speaker which conflicted with the live music. We asked to be seated in another section and were told that the server in that section might be slow to got to us. That was an understatement! But we were patient. It took probably 15 minutes for the waiter to show and another 15 - 20 minutes to get the beer that I ordered. Meanwhile, the couple next to us got impatient and left after not seeing a server for 15 minutes. Okay, I finally got my draft beer. It was good and helped with the wait. Our server was a nice guy but was either new or not particularly motivated. About 15 minutes after receiving my beer, our order was finally taken. After a good long wait, my wife received her salad. And I waited, and I waited. After she was half through her meal, mine finally showed. Either the chef or manager apologized saying that the first batch of chicken didn't turn out well, so they re-made it. I had ordered the Deep South Mac and Cheese. The Mac and Cheese itself was a nice bend of cheese and pretty good. The chicken nuggets were different. I really liked the spicy rub that they used, but it tasted like catfish. I wondered if that came from the fryer grease or if it was the rub. Still it was an intriguing flavor. My wife had the house salad. She said it was just okay. She also had the French Onion Soup. Probably the worst I've ever had. It was served in a shallow pan filled mostly with bread. All-in-all, the service was horrid on this night and the food, just okay. They do have a nice location and good beer, I just hope the service improves. I would hate to see another restaurant shut down is Westgate. But after an experience like last night, I doubt many would return. I wish hem the best.

I stopped by Bar Louie on my lunch break. I ordered the chicken nachos. Before leaving I decided to check my food. I found a roach in my nachos. Proceed with caution.

Came in for a late lunch. Dylan behind the bar was on it. He made our first time at bar Louie really enjoyable we will be coming back.

Our server Gavin was awesome! He served us and the food in a timely manner. Even though it was Christmas Eve he had good spirits and we are very thankful for that since it was a birthday dinner for me. He recommended a drink I didn't think about it and it was so good! I normally don't order martinis. We would definitely come back here for another time!

The signature drink of the month "The Wake-up Call" was simply delicious. It was sweet and spicy at the same time. The sliders were yummy too. Our waitress was very pleasant and the atmosphere was pleasing.

My daughter and I went there for lunch on a Sunday around 11 and it was empty. However, the staff was amazing and so attentive and kind. Our waitress, Vanessa, was such a doll!! She recommended adding grenadine to my daughter's lemonade to make it fancy and my daughter loved it! She recommended getting the app as random guests get a free appetizer when they set up an account. We did!! The food was delicious and service even better. I wish there was a Bar Louie in the southeast valley, but we will always go if we happen to be in the West Valley!

Gavin provided great service. He's attentive, Friendly and, accommodating! The food was hot and the drinks were smooth.

This place was a lifesaver as hubby and I couldn't eat anywhere else due to overcrowding from the football game fans. We located 2 seats at the bar to snuggle into. We were instantly greeted by Tony who made this visit everything. We typically don't eat at this chain restaurant because we had one locally that struggled a little in the food preparation dept. Welp, this place wasn't that much different as we ordered Louie's Choice Cheeseburger, Long Island Iced Tea, The Staycation, Boneless Buffalo Wings and Tater Tots. Super long wait. They were super busy. Hubby said he liked his burger. My boneless wings were overcooked and less than room temperature when they arrived to the table. Tater Tots were luke warm. Sent those boneless wings back w the swiftness. I know... what's good about this place then right? 1 We found seats so we were able to sit and watch my Ravens. 2 Our drinks (Long Island Iced Tea & The Staycation) were PERFECTLY crafted by Tony. 3 Attentiveness of all the staff that always checked on us when they passed by. 4 Great conversation by Tony. 5 Comfy and clean environment. I'll give this place a 4/5 on customer service and environment. The food issues, can be fixed.

Looking for a reasonable priced drinks and appetizers option prior to going to a concert at the former Coyotes Arena? You have found it This was not my first time I've gone here for drinks with friends prior to a concert on the Westside. It won't be my last. Sadly, Bar Louie's happy hour prices have gone up. However, it seems like most things have these days. They're still very reasonable for beers, flatbreads, and other appetizers during their happy hour. As a bonus, if the concerts on a Tuesday it's half price burger night also. I don't like the pay for nearby parking that kicks in prior to a concert. However, Bar Louie's knocks the price of parking off of the bill if you show your pre-event, paid parking stub.

Out and about in Westgate on a scorching Thursday evening, I had my sights set on Yard House. With a wait at the door, Bar Louie was the next up. Bar Louie offers up pub grub with some creative touches in sports bar surroundings. I settled in with a pint and a a Bourbon BBQ chicken sandwich; they were out of the makings for my first choice (That's My Jam: bacon + arugula + herb cream cheese + bourbon jam + garlic aioli). The Bourbon BBQ sandwich (bacon + cream cheese + cheddar + fried onion strings + bourbon BBQ sauce) was tasty but the sauce could've used a lot more zing. The chicken was moist but underseasoned. Service was friendly but on the slow side

A cute place for food and drink. I found them on the 4th of July! Out with my daughter, we were just looking for something to snack on! Walking into a big open concept. The bar is smack dab in the middle. I like it! The Bartender can see all tables and bar tops from most angles! Clever! We ordered their Grilled Cheese Sandwich with loaded fries. The Sandwich came out and it was perfect. Crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. It was paired alongside a small bowl of tomato bisque! The soup was almost better than our sandwich! Full of flavor, I had to dip the sandwich in the soup! Match made in heaven. I also tried a beer that was tasty. I totally forgot the name though. My server picked it out for me. Nice draft menu and they have happy hour! I will be back!!!!!!!!

The place is nice. Open and bright with nice furniture and bar. However this is the first time I see a menu without a price on their cocktails. This is just a suggestion for the management. I wouldn't come back. The food is ok but not great.

We had an amazing time at Bar Louie. We were celebrating our brothers passing at the Rolling Stone concert and we came to Bar Louie. Our serverSammie 1610 was amazing and had such a pleasant personality. Thank you for make our day a memorable one.

We had gotten out of the Trump rally and decided to eat at a restaurant to let traffic die down and remembered Bar Louie. Even though busy, the food came out impressively fast. Our server, Neita, was exceptional. We enjoyed the food too!!

I walked into Bar Louie and I suffer from chronic migraines & wear sunglasses sometimes and the bartender "Jerome" said his bartender felt uncomfortable serving me without unexplained reasoning other than being overly intoxicated. This was far from the truth and bar Louie needs to consider this for future customers. Also, we were ID'd at the door and then a second time at the bar. I find this unusual and we are people of color. I hate to be that person but I didn't see anyone else of color ID'd a second time. Our bartender was a Caucasian blonde woman who wouldn't deal with us so she sent "Jerome" also a person of color to "deal" with us. I'd hate to get a lawyer involved but this felt like racial profiling, do better next time Bar Louie.

Checking out the area, looked like an ok place so we decided to give it a shot. Well the service was slow, the drinks were watered down and the food was below average. I ordered the California chicken club, and the chicken breast (see picture) was about half the size of the bread. The "loaded" fries had a small drizzle of cheese on a couple of fries and a couple bacon bits. Ran out of drinks and water before the server was able to check on us, and I don't have the time to explain how small the wife's burger patty was or the fact it was missing the sauce and undercooked. Needless to say this will not be a regular spot for us when we relocate here in the next couple months.

Bar Louie is an excellent alternative to going to Yardhouse right next door. They are typically not very crowded on most nights and their drinks are priced well. They have a lot of options on tap and have great bartenders. The decor is excellent too with multiple large TVs that are easily visible from the bar. I highly recommend you check them out if you're looking for a great bar at west gate!

Such a treat to try something new. Met the girls from work here. It was a quieter Thursday night. I think everything was running a bit slow as there was a party being catered in their private room, or at least an area separate from thr main area. Also one large group in the middle. We were in no rush as we were catching up. As the huge trays of pretzel bites, sliders, fries and salad walked by I was psyched. Everything looked delicious. Bar Louie's does not offer any allergy free nor gluten options. Their kitchen isn't designed to prevent cross contamination even on salads. I had a side salad, with my own dressing, fries, and broccolini. All were sides off the menu. My choice due to sensitivities.The fries were delicious. The side salad tiny but good. The broccolini was unedible tough stems. The bite of the mini crown It took forever to chew. I mean forever! The dish also took until after we were all done eating. Freshly roasted? Over roasted? The Flatbread pizza had pepperoni that needed more spice, but okay (per friend) looked yummy to me! Burger and tots were a hit, and the calamari had a few chewy pieces, but overall was very good. They make a very very tasty dirty martini. Matt our server was great. Another gal brought us our food and she was super too. She even took our group photo for us. Stick with the pretzel bites, fried food, burgers and drinks. They had a happy hour which was very generous on drinks and a mix of food. I left hungry, but had a pleasant time. I would definitely come back for more bar food and drinks if my diet wasn't limited! I appreciate that we could have separate tabs no issue and Matt rung us up right at the table!

I had a great experience. We went for a concert and had drinks and half price appetizers before. I had a Jack and coke which as simple as it sounds isn't always good. Bar Louie got it right. Also I had a chicken quesadilla which was as good if not better than any of the Mexican restaurants in town. Service was also great and we had a big party of ten that arrived at all different times to make it as tough as possible on the poor server. I wish I caught her name because she deserves props I'll be back for sure not sure why it took me so long to try this place

Three for three with a positive burger experience. It was a toss up between Then Burger and Bar Louie. Choose BL. I had the All-Nighter... medium. Delicious. Sunny side egg, bacon, white cheddar, garlic aioli on the side. Juicy, filling, perfect burg. The french fries were a tad salty but gooooood. Shout out to Nick bartending, making suggestions and the perfect bourbon martini.

Bar Louie is always such a good time. The food was great, and the drinks were even better. Our bartender was awesome and made the experience even better. I love how the ambiance is also, a great mixed crowd.

Customer service was on point! We received a warm welcome from the hostess and unforgettable customer service from our servers, despite the heavy crowd after the last Arizona home game of the 2023 NFL season. Nicholas is an stellar bartender. I am quite picky when it comes to my martinis (Kettle one, no vermouth, and slightly dirty with blue cheese stuffed olives). Nicholas was respectfully understanding and fully understood why vermouth does not pair well with a dirty vodka martini. It was made so well, one good turn deserves another. As for the old fashion, my boyfriend ordered it spirit forward and it was made to order. The food was delicious and paired well with our beverages. Best of all, the ambiance was made for NFL fans and the prices were reasonable given its location. An ideal end to the 2023 NFL season for this Seahawks fan.
