Google
Old style Polish milk bar, the food was very good and amazing price for the location. The potato pancakes with goulash were fantastic. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The food was good and reasonable, compared to Karkow the portion was Less. It’s crowded most of the time. If you want to have your day meals from breakfast to dinner. It’s a best place to eat. They have plenty of space you can sit and eat in the hot place.

Came here as we couldn't get into the other milk bar. Straight off the bat, had communistic canteen vibes. Food was pretty good although a bit warmer would of been nice. Loved the lumpy potato, kapuzniak and pork chop. Would definitely call it polish comfort food. Wasn't massively expensive and it was nice to experience something like this. Also the atmosphere although full no one was talking - eerie. Enjoyed it tho - wanted to give it 4.5

Not exceptional and not disappointing, it was just fine. I think the concept is great (limited and set amount of dishes that you can pick) however in practice it comes across as an old place not too well organised and with dishes that could be improved visually and in terms of typology of food offered. Surely, the prices are amazing and you can easily have a complete meal for 40PLN or so

One of my fav place to drop in for lunch or early dinner if I visit old town especially the king market area. The pork Knuckle is my favourite dish followed by the fry fish. The quantity is good too here. Kid enjoys the chicken here. Highly recommended place

It was not the cheapest, but very well located and decent food. Staff was also very nice, patient and helpful even though we could not quite understand each other at the start.

It's more like a mensa, you take a tray and go to the very nice lady and tell her what you want, then pay with the other nice lady (cashier). 🍲 The food will feed you well and warm up your soul, we had a cabbage/beet soup with potatoes, a potato pancake with goulash and dumplings with sour cabbage and champignons. 🍽️ 10/10 if you like domestic food, big portions, loads of flavor and low prices. If you like fancy, you will not enjoy it there 😇

Great traditional style Polish food and really reasonable prices. Very friendly and welcoming to us (tourists). Will be going again during our stay.

Yelp
We were touring Gdańsk and our guide suggested Bar Neptun for some authentic Polish food. Menu has a lots of good options and you order cafeteria style. Your order is ready quickly while you stand in line. I ordered pirogies and my wife had goulash. Pirogies weren't even warm. Warm gravy helped a bit Flavor was pretty bland. Meat for the goulash was fatty. After extensive trimming, it had a good flavor. The best part was we're were in and out in 40 minutes. We had less than an hour to eat so logistically this worked well. Quick in and out.

Yelp
4.5 stars! For a mere fraction of the price of dining at any other restaurant on the main street of Gdansk's Main Town, Bar Neptun offers the same great view and people-watching atmosphere! It might be challenging to order at this classic milk bar if you don't speak Polish, but helpfully, there were samples of many of the dishes sitting on the counter that you could point to, and there was also a refrigerated case of dishes ready to put right onto your tray. I was a big fan of the chlodnik, a cold, creamy pink soup made with beets and other vegetables, dill, and hard-boiled egg--a cooling combination for a hot day! The pyzy were chewy dumplings made of a potato-based dough and a ground meat filling, and these were served with a creamy, umami mushroom sauce. The colorful dishes of cold vegetables/salads rounded out the meal--we had sliced tomatoes, pickled cucumbers, pickled green cabbage with carrots, and my favorite, shredded red cabbage in a slightly creamy dressing. The prices here were amazingly cheap for the quality of the food, and the setting was unforgettable too!

Yelp
Home cooked Polish food, not too far from the Neptune statue. It is a point and pick type of place, massive portions for a great price. They do charge to use the restrooms, so keep that in mind. They have seating outside which is nice on a sunny day to eat and people watch.

Yelp
The food is pretty good, the prices are probably the best you will find in town, but the experience probably hasn't changed since the 1980s. Grab a tray, order what you want, pray that it's actually available that day, and pay for it. That's it. It's not easy to get what you want unless you know at least a bit of Polish, though.

Yelp
If you're looking for great homemade Polish food for a great price, check out Bar Neptune. It's located right on the main strip not far from Neptune's statue. The ladies are very warm and welcoming and have a great sense of humor! Will definitely return on my next visit to Gdańsk!

Yelp
Oldfashioned restaurant. But that makes it funny! We took applepie and cherrypie: delicious! Drink coffee at Costa, a few blocks further...

Yelp
A fancy restaurant for traditional Polish food. It has a cafeteria setup so don't expect table service, but do expect cheaper prices. I had the pork knuckle, which filled me up. The żurek soup was also tasty.

Yelp
Its a Milk Bar in the prime tourist area. Its good average Polish food, at a great price.... Don't expect 4 star service, its a cafeteria style set up.... Go have fun and eat like a Pole, and save a few zloty.. I would give them 5 stars if they did not charge for the bathroom..
