It wasn’t open when we showed up but the door was unlocked so we walked in. We’ve never been before so the experience was new to us entirely. After walking in we noticed it was empty but there was a piece of paper laying on the ground so, out of confusion and curiosity, I picked up the paper to see if it could give us any indication of where we were. In this moment a man who was silently sitting in the corner jumped up and asked if he could help us. When we explained we were here for Bar Noir cause it said it was open online he said well it’s closed so we ordered a Lyft to leave. Not even 3 minutes into waiting for our driver the man started yelling at us — explaining that we needed to get out, that we had no right to be inside, and that we picked up that piece of paper when it didn’t belong to us… we apologized and said okay our car is on the way and he said no you have to leave and stand outside and I said okay we understand but please just be kind. Well that set him off and we got some slurs thrown our way. Needless to say, I won’t be back.
