Bar-Restaurante El Bodegón.

This bar and restaurant was recommended to us by a ex-pat who has lived in the area for the last 20 years. We have not been disappointed. The food was sublime. The staff are friendly and the restaurant was full to capacity. Would highly recommend for families, couples and line dining.

Paelia with seafoods and tiramisu - was done rly well. The staff works well. Waiting time a-bit prolong but its worth it. The place is calm, cozy and satisfying to spend evening in.

It's our last night before going home so we decided to try a different restaurantthan those on the beachfront. As Calpe is a Mediterranean fishing town we decided to try a Mediterranean restaurant. El Bodegón de Calpe did not dissapoint. My wife had the melon and ham, which she said was delicious followed by the muscles. I had the Mixed Fish Grill. A lot of fish! We both had dessert that ways scrummy. We kind of wish we had found this place before our last night as they had quite a few meals we would have like to try. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, I would come again.

Very nice, old school Spanish restaurant. Solid food staples and perfectly good Plato’s combinados. Highly recommend for a non touristic, delicious lunch. Do not complicate your order, and be open to try simpler recipes with old school tastes.

The one good thing here was the wine - buy the most expensive red, I don't remember the name. Also the paella was good. We also had the octopus, which was disappointing, cut into way too small pieces to be enjoyable or notice that it's octopus, but the worst thing about the food was the chateaubriand - just plain watery, overcooked and bland, had to put a lot of salt on. Service horrible, unprofessional and angry. We spent €230 between 4 people before tip, I don't get it, they could've been nicer
