Bar Strega

Loved this place. Sooo surprised at how big the sandwiches were! Everything was delicious. The popcorn was the perfect snack to have with drinks and sandwiches. Can’t wait to come back

We walked into this place seem pretty cool, However I could have gave this place a 4 star for the greeting part , had to walk up and ask a woman behind the bar , if we could sit anywhere she said yes then we waited a couple of minutes , a guy came out guess he was the owner he was pretty cool , offered us popcorn which was great and took our order and while we waited for our sandwiches and salad he was very attentive, seemed to be the only one doing everything and he didn’t disappoint! I would absolutely come again , great spot for sandwich and drinks ! Will be back soon :)

I swung by a week ago with a couple of coworkers for lunch and sat at the bar. The daytime drink special was Bud Light but we decided to get 2 Dogfish and a Heineken 0 to go with 2 Big Italians and a Brooklyn Bird. The sandwiches were really really good and satisfying and left a lasting impression with me and my guys. We'll be back.

I stopped by the bar before attending the Tamron Hall Show and was immediately greeted by Tony. From the moment I walked in, his warm smile and welcoming energy set the tone for a great experience. He was not only attentive and professional but also incredibly personable. Tony exudes charm and authenticity—he made me feel right at home. His genuine enthusiasm and upbeat attitude were contagious and truly brightened my day. It’s rare to come across someone who leaves such a lasting impression, but Tony absolutely did. He’s a true gem and a fantastic ambassador for the venue.

This sandwich slaps! Great place to hang out, eat and enjoy a good drink. I love that they had veggie options too. Staff was attentive and friendly. I’ll definitely be back. Next time will try the cauliflower steak!

I’ve tried The Strega, The Big Italian, The Brooklyn Bird & Sicilian Tuna. All excellent sandwiches. I’m partial to the Tuna sandwich, as that is by far the best tuna sandwich I’ve ever had! Staff are very friendly.

Lucia sandwich was unreal. May be the best bread I’ve ever had. Great beer deals and bartender was super attentive. Great addition to the neighborhood which lacks quality bars and solid lunch options.

Excellent sandwiches! The Brooklyn Bird is excellent and The Italian is good yet spicy for some. If you want delivery, make your order early, as at night they close delivery earlier than advertised. I have never been in person so cannot comment on the ambiance.

I came here on a whim with my friends just searching for a bar to drink at and was met with incredible bartender and delicious sandwhiches, they really out did themselves with their popcorn (as silly as that sounds, try it yourself!) If you're in the mood for a huge meaty sandwhich their Strega, the big Italian and the Sicilian Tuna (not pictured here) were insanely good!

What an amazing find! Our office is moving nearby and a couple of colleagues and I were scoping out local spots and found Bar Strega. What was supposed to be a quick drink turned into hours of us hanging out enjoying amazing drinks and delicious food! The chef (Mark) and bartender (Tyler) took such great care of us and even though it was our first time there, we left feeling like regulars and are so excited that this is going to be our local spot. While part of me wants me to hoard Bar Strega all to ourselves, it's only right to tell the world how awesome it is. :)

Bartender was cool,very cool spot,they make good wine & margaritas over there & they give out good popcorn you can't go wrong!

Talk about amazing sandwiches!! Honestly, their menu is full of flavor, maybe a bit too much for their own good. My favorite sandwich is probably their Italian the Strega and their Tuna, oof I really eenjoyed.If your tastebuds are exploring, this is a safe place to try! First time here, and the food, service and ambiance were so amazing, Mark the Chef was so attentive, I'd definitely recommend this spot for everyone.I can't wait to come back again

This place is incredible. The bar is stunning and the food is way beyond "bar" food. The Italian sandwiches are top notch - named best in nyc by Gothamist. Super friendly owners, we tried the mozzarella/tomato sandwich and the tuna and it's so fresh, so good. I'd bring clients here, I'd come for food only and I'd come to hang. 10/10!

It was a delight discovering this bar. It's the cheapest happy hour I have seen in SoHo but the sandwiches are what really make this place shine. I had the cauliflower and the Strega (for my vegan friend and I) and it was probably the best sandwich I've had outside of Brooklyn. The bartenders seem to remember me whenever I come in so that's nice! The place is very simple and chic, and you can throw free events there through their website.

My friend and I went here to watch an Arsenal Champions League game, and the service was incredible! Isabella behind the bar was so nice and helpful - she and the owner (didn't grab his name) went above and beyond to find the game we wanted after searching thousands of channels... they were seriously the best! They even offered us free shots while we waited for them to find the game. Would 100% recommend coming here if you're in town - unfortunately I was there for a work trip and am based on the west coast, or else that'd be my regular spot :) Thank you again so much! The best vibes!

Really good Italian sandwiches for a decent price and a good selection of beers. Amazing Mortadella and great customer service.
