There are plenty of world class cocktail bars in Gangnam, however Bar Tea Scent stole the show. An amazingly creative team led by Ryan (perhaps the best mixologist I have ever met) who creates and re-imagines your favourite cocktail using alcohol and teas. The picture below is a Nespresso Martini but no coffee instead he used a mix of 4 teas, absolutely fabulous. Such a perfect host and a great, super cool environment. Seek this bar out if you are in the Gangnam area.

This is by FAR the most unique bar I ever been too. They infuse their liquors with different flavor tea depending on the type of liquor. Like the jasmine infused Gin, smells AMAZING. And the chamomile infused tequila tastes absolutely beautiful. Like, you dont even need lemon or lime or salt. It just tastes so good. The staff are so friendly and will help you decide on what type of cocktails you should choose. They got some amazing signature cocktails that look and taste amazing too. Definitely need to visit here

We had an absolutely incredible and unforgettable experience. Bar Tea Scent is definitely a must visit while in Seoul. It's only a matter of time before it's added to the list of the 50 best bars in the world!

Such a cool concept bar. The drinks were based on tea flavor and each one that we tried was fantastic. Since I couldn’t drink anymore they were able to offer me a mocktail which was also very good. Our bartender Ryan was fluent in English and was pretty awesome .

The owner is great to talk to! His drink creations are elegant and delicious. The bar is wonderful with the waterfall backdrop behind the counter. He has many other suggestions for great places. A must see!

I'm going to write from a tea perspective. A friend suggested this place because I like tea and obviously this place is uniquely serves tea cocktails. So we went with one more friend and I ordered the Cloud 9 because I love Da Hong Pao, and my friends ordered the Rain Drop (Pu'erh) and one more I can't remember (something with lavender). Tea-wise, I don't think it was very noticeable that it was a component. The most obvious was the lavender by its scent. I'll let someone else judge according to the alcohol perspective since I'm not the biggest cocktail drinker :) In the end we also ordered a the Yunnan pu'erh tea because I wanted something warm and soothing to end on and it was exactly what I wanted. I didn't write notes.. but I don't think it was fishy, but rather warm (in sensation, not just temperature), woody, and earthy. They gave us 1 re-steep in a medium-sized Japanese kyusu with 3 gong-fu cups (I could be wrong, but I don't think chinese tea pots have handles on the side like this one?) So I'd probably give it a 3.5. I like that there is indeed real tea here, but I'm not sure the inclusion of tea in the cocktail does that much for the drink except maybe add to the scent of the drink. And (at least for tea) it's kind of expensive for only 2 steeps of a tea that should go for 10-15 steeps.
