Bar Terraza La Chalana

Even the simple food can be ruined. Has only few dishes on the menu. The garlic prawns were fine, the tuna in sauce was floating in oil, the white fillet fish was fried not grilled, the wine was served in small water glass. Chose the restaurant as we were nearby and the rating was good 4.5 stars. My experience is 3.

Great rosé, good food, nice views. Honestly relaxing enjoyable vibe. Beer is cold. Garlic shrimp was fantastic. Salad was a big portion. Cheap bill. Death by chocolate was delicious. So good we ordered two!!

We had an amazing lunch here at the end of a short vacation on La Gomera. Service was very friendly, food was great (Ensalada Mixta and Salpicon con Gambas). I have tried the Rose wine which was good BUT - please get a set of nice wine glasess as it would make it much much better ;) We are coming again next time!

A Little Corner of Paradise on the Beach I had the pleasure of spending a few hours at this chiringuito, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was made magical by the music of a free-spirited hippie singer who brought so much joy and positive energy to everyone present. The owner,(not sure if is the owner) Eric, was incredibly kind and welcoming, even though he had to deal with some rude and impatient customers who, in my opinion, had no reason to behave that way. I witnessed several moments where the staff wasn’t treated with respect, but Eric handled everything with admirable professionalism and calm. The food arrived quickly, despite the place being packed, and it was fresh and delicious. Thanks to the team for their excellent organization and impeccable service! In summary, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience: a place where kindness shines and one worth visiting again. Thank you, Eric, and the entire team for making me feel so welcome!

Very busy when we visited but amazing food. The highlight was the garlic prawns which have some roasted chilli to give some warmth. We had 4 dishes of garlic prawns on our two-week trip and these were the best. Outstanding.

Great place for lunch and sunset drinks. We went to the bar a couple of times during our stay, both to eat and to have drinks. The food is very good, especially the catch of the day, and still really cheap. Service is friendly and quick. Note that food is only served between 12h and 16h, whereas the bar is open until 21h. The view is unbeatable right by the beach, especially in the evening. A definite recommendation when you are in Playa de Santiago.
