In Palermo, Secrets and Stories Await Around Every Corner

"Bar Timi, located in a piazza around the corner from the Palazzo Gangi, is run by the burly proprietor Liborio. The bar serves local wines like a white wine from the slopes of Mount Etna, offering a typical Sicilian experience."

I have eaten and drank here for breakfast lunch and dinner on different occasions and it was amazing every time! The ingredients are fresh from the owners farm; the coffee and wine selection is excellent. You must order the parmigiana and bake my day plate. The breakfast croissants and granola is also delicious for breakfast!

Very empathic owner. I was offered to try their olive oil, almond cream, pistachio cream and mandarin marmalade that is produced in their own farm. I had a nice little talk with the owner. I didn’t see any menus, but you can ask what they offer. I had an ice orange juice, and ice latte, which seems to be very rare in south of Italy. Limited seats indoor. There is AC!

Hands down it was the best Negroni I have ever had. The pistachio crème that is made by the owner is literally life changing. We will absolutely return on our next visit. This place is by far one of the best places to come in all of Palermo! Edit: purchased some olives to bring back to the hotel but they didn’t last until the next bat because we ate them already. Seriously SO good

This place is amazing, the vibes are wonderful, whether you sit outside or inside. It has a very cozy chill vibe which is wonderful after spending the day walking. We ordered the lasagna, the pancakes with salmon and mozzarella, a cappuccino and an orange juice. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and so good and the coffee is amazing as well. The lasagna is delicious and the pancakes with salmon are very interesting and delicious as well. More importantly, the staff is very welcoming and so nice, the kind of attention that can turn a bad day around. If you are near or if you’re looking for a breakfast or lunch spot this is the place to go.

Super cute bar/coffee shop that my boyfriend and I happened upon while walking through the city. Interior and atmosphere are really nice modern and stylish. The owners were so friendly and accommodating and the coffee and fresh orange juice were super yummy and refreshing. The owner offered to let me try their pistachio, almond butters and the pistachio was so yummy! I would 100% recommend stopping by if you’re in Palermo. We were sad we couldn’t go back a second time before leaving the city.

Bar Timi is one of those rare places that feels like a hidden treasure. Timi himself is the heart of it all—charismatic, welcoming, and full of great energy. We had a Negroni, an Aperol Spritz, and some prosecco—all perfectly made and full of flavor. The homemade lasagna was incredible, comforting, and clearly made with love. On top of that, Timi sells products from his own farm—olives, olive oil, and the most delicious almond and pistachio creams. You can sample and enjoy! Everything about this place is personal, genuine, and unforgettable. Don’t miss it.

You can’t miss this little gem! Excellent spot for aperitivo - with olives from the owners farm. Best olives I’ve ever had. The real treat is breakfast - with croissants with pistachio or almond spread homemade from the owners farm. Best pistachio spread ever!!! And fresh orange juice to die for! Owner is super nice and staff is just lovely! Going to keep coming back!!

Fabulous little bar/cafe, located in a shady street, in the center of Palermo. We arrived there, tired and hot, after an early flight from the UK. They were just finishing breakfast service but happily provided us with 2 delicious negronis. Good start! We opted for a couple of lunch snacks - caponata: rich and tomatoey and then some creamy Stracciatella on tostada, topped with anchovies. The helpful lady owner brought us some great wine from Mount Etna, which went perfectly and everything was good in our world. We left feeling much better than when we arrived and ready to continue our Palermo adventure. The perfect first lunch.
