My husband and I dropped in for food here based on the Yelp reviews while we were in the area exploring the palace. Typical prompt, unsmiling Prague bar service but they got us everything we needed. I asked for tap water which should've cost 15 kc, but the waiter brought out a bottled water for 35 kc. Only a little more than a buck, but still he acted like I wouldn't know the difference.
We each started with a soup, which tasted great on a cold afternoon in mid-October. The goulash was good and the meat was very tender. My husband ordered a steak and it was served rare (we should've learned this is how most Czech restaurants like to serve meat, unless requested otherwise). We ordered blueberry pancakes for dessert, which was was a nice ending to our meal. I would recommend this place only if you're in the area. The food is solid, but similar to what you can get in almost any other Czech restaurant. Reasonably priced. Above meal for 2 plus water and a soda costed us less than 700 kc.
Other things to note: when you choose to pay by card, you have to pay the bill towards the back of the restaurant at the counter. Also, we got a table relatively easily at 12:30 on a Sunday in mid-October, but they started turning people away shortly after. The restaurant was only half full, though they claimed they had reservations. Google maps and apple maps might give you weird directions for a few passageways that does not exist. You just need to figure it out on your map and possibly walk around the interferences.
