"This architectural wonder perched on the Barangaroo waterfront looks like a stack of bowls overflowing with herbs. The interior of the three-level building—owned by prominent restaurateur and chef Matt Moran—is more fancy cruise ship meets modern bistro. The flagship restaurant, Bea, is where ex-Noma chef Cory Campbell experiments with native Australian ingredients and zero-waste principles. Its multicultural menu might feature steak tartare with mountain pepper, coral trout dressed in lobster reduction (made with leftover crustaceans), or bread pudding featuring sourdough miche that would have otherwise been tossed. The building also features the best place to take in the sunset or harbor lights: Smoke, the rooftop bar.The setting, the smoky martini, and sea urchin toastie are just three reasons the bar was named Time Out ’s Best New Bar of 2018."

"The stunning Barangaroo House, designed to look like wide bowls stacked on top of each other, is actually made up of two bars and a restaurant: the House Bar, on the bottom level; restaurant Bea, in the middle; and Smoke, a rooftop cocktail bar. You'll want to visit them all, trust us. The low-key House Bar has 12 beers on tap, a small, but solid, cocktail list featuring the classics, and lamb on the spit for all-day kebabs. Bea serves up elevated Australian cuisine in a refined pub-like space. At Smoke, there's an impressive wine list with more than 400 wines, a huge champagne list, and more than 50 cocktails." - Sophie Davies

I absolutely loved my birthday drinks here! First-time visitor to Barangaroo House, specifically Smoke Bar on the top level, and it won't be my last time. Table service was lovely. Only an order for chicken was missed, but it was a Friday and super busy. The sunset views over the harbour were astonishing, and the vibes, clientele, and DJ were simply top-notch. Highly recommend an afternoon through evening visit, especially during the lovely November weather we've been having. Picturesque views with cute balcony garden, yummy bites, and a very creative, fun cocktail list in the form of an imitation So Fresh CD insert. I was running late for a 5:15pm booking and the staff member I spoke to on the phone was so lovely about it, she even moved my appointment back to 5:45pm so myself and my guests still got our 2 hour timeblock.

First time going to this place and it was utterly amazing! Will definitely be coming back. The staff were such a vibe and a special thank you for Dan and Shane for making our night epic! You guys are great. Highly recommend going here! Very accommodating and great drinks! Noodles are amazing as well 👌🏼. - Tash and Eve.

Stopped in a few times for cocktail in the smoke room, top level. Cocktails are amazing, the waiter was incredible spoke to us about what we like and don't like and put together a cocktail he thought we might like... he absolutely nailed it. Views are amazing as well, nice relaxing theme as well. Highly recommend. Already planning the next visit.

Atmosphere is great, service is a bit slow and poor, food was average. Eggplant dish was amazing

Really disappointing experience here. The best part of the evening was the service, as the staff are lovely and very informative and attentive. The food was average and the portion sizes left something to be desired. Whist the cocktails weren't bad, they were nothing special. All up it was very overpriced and underwhelming, a real shame as we were so excited to go.

Great ambience. Excellent service. The omakase (tasting) menu is a tad overpriced for what was served. The food was tasty but flavours are not unique. Their seafood dishes were more memorable and the dessert is forgettable. I disagree with including the bao dish but the stuffed zucchini flower was amazingly good. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.

Came on a weeknight after work. The restaurant had a good ambience and staff were friendly and attentive. The food was a bit mixed, maybe just a preference thing - as some flavours on the tuna Tartare and stuffed chicken wing were overpowering. The duck was cooked perfectly and had a punch of flavours - although the serving was slightly small for "half a duck". The coconut and lime pie was a good way to finish. Cocktails were also on point. Overall, a good experience and wouldn't mind coming again.

Nice ambience and drinks. However the sashimi bowl didn’t have a nice flavour was vinegary and wasn’t fresh (avo was brown and hard) for $26. Also went to the woman’s bathroom and all three soap dispenser’s had no soap. Just not to the standard id expect for the prices. My boyfriend did enjoy the katsu sandwich. Just not great value for $26.

Yelp
On Thursday night - We were a group of 10 and had a choice of the large or small menus option. We went with the small. The food was good, but slow on coming out, and would've loved more than one skewer per a person. We had at least a dozen drinks and they were very well created- tasted great! To TOP IT OFF, they had a live DJ, he played the best hits. Towards the other have of the evening another DJ came in and it was a different vibe. We all had a great time & our service was very friendly and professional.

Yelp
Expensive bar on King's Wharf. Seating looking out on harbor and good people watching. Seats uncomfortable.

Yelp
Sadly, way over priced but it has a great ambience and view. It's a great people watching venue, and looks like the place to be seen. Good wine list and menu seems adequate but it's the prices that seem a bit over the top. Be early on busy days to get a good seat and dress to impress.

Yelp
Great place in a beautiful location. Nice wine and food selection to accomodate any occasion. Highly recommend the beef doughnuts!

Yelp
Big reputation and even bigger prices, at the amount they charge they really need to deliver but fail to do so. Some quirky dishes such as Asparagus with ants, steak served with cricket butter but really they are just a gimmick.

Yelp
Nice bar in a prime location in Barangaroo. Plenty of drink options to share with a somewhat cool crowd. Only downside is the poor outdoor heating...plenty of them but the are too high to make a difference

Yelp
Do Not Reserved a table for New Years evening. Not a good place at all to see fireworks! (2018, celebrating into 2019.) 3 restaurants,Housebar 1 level and Bea second and Smoke rooftop bar. Booked in Bea but was moved into Smoke due better for single person. ( my choice) The staff was greating me opon arrival very happy. The view is okey but not to se any of the fireworks. The city is closed of from the rest of the Barangaroo pier. If you want to see the fireworks, then you have to leave the place 1hour before midnight. I left 30 minutes and did not get all way around the pier to other side. Food: not that special. They charge you 195 AUD (21.00-02.00) Includes 3 hour drink package ( vine and beer) and canapés ,from 21.00-23.55.DJ from The canapé was served by staff to guests around the seating area. There was 3 dishes; mini burger, hotdog, and chicken stick. NOT special at all ,considered they have MR chef him self , Cory Campbell, doing the menu. DJ good but not special. The staff reminded me upon leaving, that the table will be gone, if I return before 02.00 OLA cab home from Barangaroo House to Kings Cross: 37AUD IF its not good at New Year, than why go there again.

Yelp
Went to try and have a pre-dinner drink on Saturday as a birthday treat, As it was for a special occasion, I had specifically called on the Friday to try and reserve a space (just 2 of us) and was told they only take reservations for 6 or more. Was assured by the person on the phone that there would be no problem coming up, just let the person at the door on the ground floor know. So the next night, we turn up at 6pm only to be told at the door by a very snotty person that they were only allowing those that had reserved!! Tried to explain I had called but no, would not call up to speak to the manager or anything. The last thing this wonderful, chilled and vibrant city needs is another snooty-stuck-up-its-backside bar. Will not be giving it another go after the attitude we were given.

Yelp
Was hanging out with friends on a beautiful Sunday at Barangaroo House - Nice Place with good social views. Less than impressed with grumpy expressionless Bartender serving up expensive diluted drinks with no table service. Had to leave, we found another place - Happy now!

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed the bar on the 3rd floor. They had a live band that was really good and not real loud either. Not too crowded and really good service. I was coming from Texas and looking for good bars in Darling Harbor and this was certainly one of them
