Baraza Resort and Spa Zanzibar

We stayed here with my family, and it was an amazing experience. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. The villas are spacious and comfortable, with a real feeling of privacy. The staff were warm and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent, with a lot of variety every day. My family especially enjoyed the beach, it felt private and perfect for relaxing. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and we would love to come back again.

Perfect location to relax after a Safari. Our villa was very clean and luxurious. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious and fresh and we enjoyed the daily variety of the menu. We enjoyed the private beach, cabana, poolside and the spa. We booked snorkeling through the hotel and were taken to a wonderful location. I have never seen so many types of fish on one trip. We never felt rushed we were able to fully relax. The stars are beautiful at night and the property is quiet due to the limited number of villas. Nightly entertainment was provided during dinner which we enjoyed very much. |The staff even sang Happy Birthday to me and presented me with a delicious cake. |The Sultans Bath , body scrub and massage was the perfect way to end our stay before our flight home. |If you’re looking for a luxurious private resort look no further and book your stay!

The Baraza is an EXCEPTIONALLY amazing hotel/resort. Beyond the stunning property, what really stands out is the exceptional service. The rooms are beautiful, food exceptional, music at night at bar/restaurant is amazing. The stay at this hotel truly made our trip and I am so glad we selected this hotel. ||We stayed 3 nights, and we wish it was longer. While there, we did take tennis lessons and the instructor was great. My dad used the spa and loved it and we personally loved the chef and bartender who always went the extra mile for us. While there are many beautiful properties to pick from in Zanzibar, we are beyond happy we stayed here and would 100 percent recommend it for a luxury stay.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Baraza Resort & Spa – Paradise Found!||After an unforgettable safari through Kenya and Tanzania, we wrapped up our adventure with a stay at Baraza Resort and Spa in Zanzibar—and let me just say, it was the perfect grand finale. Baraza is one of those places where every detail has been carefully crafted to create pure luxury, peace, and pampering.||🏡 The Villa:|Our villa was over the top—spacious, elegant, and beautifully decorated with Turkish/Sultan-style touches. Huge closet and bathroom, a comfortable sitting area, and our own private plunge pool (a little chilly, but lovely nonetheless). We were steps from the beach loungers, and the area was quiet, serene, and wonderfully relaxing.||🍽️ The Food:|Every meal was excellent, but the standout was a private seafood lunch on the beach—easily one of our favorite moments. We also loved the elaborate breakfast buffet (seriously impressive) and the attentive service at every meal. From drinks to dessert, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.||🏖️ The Vibe:|Baraza knows how to make you feel like royalty. We didn’t leave the resort for two full days and had zero regrets. Between the beach loungers assigned just for us, the drinks and snacks delivered with a smile, and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere—this was our slice of paradise.

Even the hotel foyer makes you swoon! And it just gets better from there. Our villa for 5 was beautiful and well appointed. The vets were so comfortable and the staff kept it impeccably clean.||Meals and service were five star, indeed! Angela was our personal concierge and she did not miss a detail. ||We enjoyed a couples massage and it was exemplary. Wish we had more time to relax and enjoy all of the amenities, but from there we took our kids (teenager and 20-somethings) on the snorkel tour. Do this! The sea life was beautiful and the reef very much alive! Pool and beach were beautiful and we spent hours lazing around, recuperating from 8 days on safari.||Not only would we return again and again to this piece of paradise, we truly did not want to leave.

My extended family and I had a wonderful experience at the Baraza. The service was impeccable and the facilities were immaculate. We were most impressed by the quality and diversity of food offerings. The chefs took great pride in the food offerings and were always able to make something to our liking, including our very picky children. The hotel staff was very responsive, both in person and by email ahead of our arrival. We would strongly recommend Baraza for anyone looking for a relaxing time in paradise.

It was a wonderful stay at this resort. The entire staff were very professional but also very accommodating. It was like they couldn’t do enough for us! Our guest relations representative, Angela, was very welcoming, and went above and beyond for us. I hope my husband have a chance to return to this piece of paradise in the near future.

Just think opulence. Dripping with luxury on the beach.|We were super lucky and were upgraded to the royal suite . It was beyond anything we have ever stayed at let alone imagined. It was phenomenal . Our own pool, cabana, private beach , dual king suites with baths , massive stocked bar fridge, butler, you get the idea !!!!|But|It lacked character. We have just come from safari where the people were genuinely kind but here they are just here for the job. Well that’s how it felt for us |Couple of things to consider |It’s about 1.5 hours drive from the airport |Now we are not foodies and didn’t really enjoy the food from the 4-5 course sit down meals. We especially didn’t like constantly being interrupted by staff asking how our food was or clearing away. There was just too many interruptions and sometimes we felt like vultures were hovering for a tip. Just something to be aware of! So On our last day we opted to have dinner from the pool menu.
