"Barba offers a fresh take on fast food, serving tasty items like octopus and shrimp burgers, anchovy sandwiches, and fried calamari, all made with today’s catch. Located on a small side street off Stradun, the shop is tiny and friendly—the perfect pit stop during a day of Dubrovnik sightseeing. Snag the prime table by the front window and watch the rivers of people entering town through the Buža Gate as you eat. Then, be sure to contribute to the restaurant’s growing collection of wooden forks, on which customers from all over the world write messages commemorating their travels."

Brilliant experience here. We ordered the sharing platter which came with the octopus burger (cuttlefish ink bun!), fired fish, calamari, fried prawns, octopus salad (this was soso refreshing), potato salad, anchovies and pate on bread and a choice between fresh oysters or fried oysters (we opted for both). This was such a unique platter and we would love to come here again and order the same thing! It was quite a small restaurant and was fairly popular so you may need to wait a bit but they did work quick and the staff are so welcoming. You can also do takeout as well! - We saw some people order takeout and have this by the ocean, which would be lovely! What I loved is that they did not skimp out on the portions, it was so packed and we loved every bite! They also have wooden forks available to decorate the restaurant, which is so fun while you wait and it makes time go by so quick!

I ordered takeout twice and dined in once. Overall, the food is tasty and worth coming back for. I personally wasn’t impressed by the octopus burger, but their anchovies are absolutely the best. You can substitute the side for french fries. I also tried the calamari, which were good. Dine-in wait time was around 15–20 minutes, and the food came out fairly quickly. Takeout was ready in about 10 minutes. I’d come again, even after 3 times. I saw people eat their take out on the staircase next to the restaurant.

Awesome and cozy place. The food is awesome, you see that it's made of good quality ingredients. Highly recommend. The staff is friendly and always in a good mood. It's rather small so you have to look if you find a place to sit. Thank you for the good food and nice evening 🇭🇷

Such a good restaurant!!! Went there as per all the recommendations online and it did not disappoint! The food was really good - the burgers had such unique flavours that you would not necessarily find elsewhere, and the rest of the menu was so tasty. The place is really small so do expect a bit of a wait if you want to sit down inside. Otherwise the takeout is really fast! A must if you’re visiting Dubrovnik Not vegetarian/vegan friendly

I went to try the most hyped octopus burger in dubrovnik. I was expecting a more intense flavor, honestly I think everyone could eat it even if you’re not into seafood. anyways it’s really good and in price considering the portions are huge and it’s located in the old town. the local is small, you might have to wait for a table if you’re a big group. the guys working there were super nice and sweet 🫶🏼

We had an awesome experience at the restaurant. Although the restaurant felt small and difficult to get a table to sit, the host set our expectations around the waiting time and within the expected time, we were seated as well. We were also offered option of doing a take away and we could see many others were doing that and eating on the steps! The food tasted really good and the hosts were very friendly…their bun used for the burger looks different from the usual burger bun. It tasted great ! Highly recommended place if you are visiting old town in Dubrovnik and like sea food

excellent pizza with generous slices full of flavour and texture. The staff are friendly and made you feel at home. While the seating isn’t the most comfortable and orders can take a little while, the quality and portions make it well worth the wait. Lots of options - vegetarian option too.

After a search for best octopus burger, Barba came at the top of the list. We got there before the lunch crush and was told by the wait staff that it would be 5 minutes since it's a small restaurant and had limited seating. The wait was as predicted and we ordered one octoburger and one octoburger combo. The fries and onion rings were crispy and delicious. The octopus burger was good and filling, but I am taking one star off because we agreed that there was just a tad too much secret sauce. We found that the thousand island-like dressing over-powered the flavor of the burger. Otherwise, the staff were nice, quick and efficient. The restaurant was clean but small. And being in a tourist area in the middle of summer, it's no surprise that we found the prices to be a little on the high size.
