Another unforgettable dining experience at Barbacoa. We’ve been here many times, and it never disappoints but this visit was made extra special thanks to our waiter, Arta. His service was exceptional: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, making the entire evening seamless and enjoyable. The food was absolutely amazing, as always. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Our favourites (and must-orders every time) are the chargrilled baby octopus, perfectly tender with incredible depth of flavour; the USA scallops, cooked to perfection; the red snapper crudo, fresh and delicate; and the Australian beef tartare, expertly seasoned. The Sir Harry Wagyu rib fillet was outstanding rich, juicy, and cooked exactly perfect and the tostada with spicy yellowfin tuna was the perfect balance of heat and freshness. Barbacoa continues to set the standard for incredible food and service in Seminyak. A huge thank you to Arta and the team for another flawless experience. We’ll be back again and again.

The restaurant was tastefully designed and had a nice vibe, though it was a tad too dim for our liking. We went in with high expectations due to its 4.8-star rating from over 3,000 reviews. Unfortunately, many items, including the oysters, king prawns, grilled octopus, Wagyu T-bone, sourdough, and calamari were already sold out by 8.30pm, which was a little disappointing. We ended up ordering the seared scallops, Baja tacos, tuna tartare, three portions of medium-rare Black Angus rib fillet, half charcoal chicken, pork asado, broccolini, grilled asparagus, wedges, chocolate cake, and drinks. The tuna tartare was enjoyable, though slightly on the salty side, and the Baja tacos were decent. However, we were rather disappointed with the mains overall. The Angus rib fillet came closer to medium, was quite lean, and tasted fairly average. The pork asado was dry and tough, and the chicken was also dry except for the drumsticks. Do note that the prices at the restaurant differ from those shown online and are higher than expected. On a positive note, the drinks and dessert were good and ended the meal on a pleasant note. Overall, it’s a gorgeous place with a great ambience. The experience might have been better if we had the chance to try their recommended and signature dishes, many of which were unfortunately sold out that evening.

Very impressive venue and good food at Barbacoa. Had croquettes, sirlion and ice cream sandwich. Great steak so well worth the trip. Okta gave great service too - go early for a sitting and save ur stomach for the delicious food!

We had a great dining experience at Barbacoa. The steak was perfectly cooked and the service was excellent. I ordered the steak and octopus. The octopus was a little chewy, but it still tasted good. The BBQ chicken was also delicious. When the waitress asked for feedback, I shared my honest opinion. The manager then came to apologize and explained the dish, which we really appreciated. They even gave us a complimentary dessert, and it was very yummy. We were very impressed with the food and especially the service. We will definitely come back.🤍

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Barbacoa. The ambience is beautiful, romantic and warmly candlelit. The food was outstanding; the four of us shared a variety of dishes and every one was delicious. The caramel dessert was absolutely to die for, easily the best dessert I’ve ever had. The service was also exceptional, with a special mention to Ria, our waitress for the night. Highly recommend!

Every dish we tried was a hit, full of bold flavours and beautifully presented. The menu feels both creative and approachable, making it easy to share and enjoy. Service was tremendous, warm, attentive, and perfectly timed, adding to the overall experience without ever feeling rushed. A must-visit in Bali for anyone who loves great food, excellent cocktails, and genuine hospitality.

Even though I have been visiting Bali for many years, I just visited Barbacoa, which has been open for the past 11 years - thats quite an achievement in a culinary ecosystem where doors open and close often in tight succession. The experience at Barbacoa was delightful: the architecture, decor, ambience, spaciousness, textures, lighting, hues, and ambient lighting are quite outstanding without being ostentatious in any way. The outdoor patio is enchanting as well and offers a welcomed break from being in airconditioned interiors. The dishes are delectable and well presented. What really stood out: - Ms Okta: Welcoming, hospitable, knowledgeable, professional, polished, helpful, and very pleasantly cheerful - a true ambassador of Barbacoa who really stands out. - The Gin Kaffir Lime cocktail: divine! I'd very much recommend visiting Barbacoa to form your own experience. I have the feeling you'll have a brilliant lunch or dinner there!
