Even though I have been visiting Bali for many years, I just visited Barbacoa, which has been open for the past 11 years - thats quite an achievement in a culinary ecosystem where doors open and close often in tight succession.
The experience at Barbacoa was delightful: the architecture, decor, ambience, spaciousness, textures, lighting, hues, and ambient lighting are quite outstanding without being ostentatious in any way. The outdoor patio is enchanting as well and offers a welcomed break from being in airconditioned interiors. The dishes are delectable and well presented.
What really stood out:
- Ms Okta: Welcoming, hospitable, knowledgeable, professional, polished, helpful, and very pleasantly cheerful - a true ambassador of Barbacoa who really stands out.
- The Gin Kaffir Lime cocktail: divine!
I'd very much recommend visiting Barbacoa to form your own experience. I have the feeling you'll have a brilliant lunch or dinner there!
