The service and food are impeccable. We barely ever had to wait for our orders to come through. Best hangover cure in town. The barbacoa tacos are among the best. I wish I could have eaten more. Will definitely come back to sample the rest of the menu.

This place is in the “entrance” to the San Angel park and its a really nice place to visit on a Sunday. As a Mexican, I was familiar with Barbacoa, but this place takes using Barbacoa to a whole new level. The Agua fresca and dishes are great. Really recommend the elote dessert.

The mole enchiladas were some of the best I’ve had. The café de olla was delicious and served in a traditional little clay cup. It was a nice sweet counter to the spicy salsa they had on the table. Service was great as well and it’s in a good spot near shops and galleries.

I have to say that after eating here no less than ten times, it thoroughly deserves 5 stars. It has a lot of options but if you go for the main dishes (ie, barbacoa), they are consistently great. The barbacoa never disappoints and the tortillas and salsa are pretty good too. If you get tired of barbacoa, they have a lot of great choices. Service is always good too, and frankly the prices are pretty reasonable. If you happen to be visiting the Bazar del Sábado, this is a fantastic option, much cheaper than the others at hand.

Amazing carnitas and guacamole. The espresso was also top notch. If you want amazing pork or lamb and a great view of the park and goings on, this is the place.

Very disappointing...this is clearly a place targeted for tourists. I ordered a quesadilla with barbacoa and the size of the quesadilla was a joke. It was half the size of the plate and the tortilla was hard and not fresh. They barely put any barbacoa in it. Will not come here again.

Yelp
We were on our way to the Diego Rivera museum but really needed something to eat. The manager at the Red Tree House suggested we walk through this area since it was not only colorful but interesting to look at. We looked at the menu at some shi-shi restaurant across the street when I saw Barbacoa. Friendly greeting and we grabbed a table. They were pretty busy. We each ordered two tacos and a couple of Bohemias. Tasty tacos and some good sauces! We spoke to a tourist near Frida Kahlo's museum and since the line was long didn't go in. He suggested we check out Diego's, and fate would have it, he walked in said hi and that we picked a great place to eat! Reasonably priced and friendly. What more do you need?

Yelp
Best Barbacoa I've ever had! Tastes great with the addition of nopales. The vinegar really helps cut the strong porky taste.

Yelp
Excellent service and food. The view of the plaza is also nice. I highly recommend the sangria and mole plate. I also tried the chicken soup and guacamole. I love how they bring out different salsas and lines, etc. The only thing I didn't like was that people were smoking right outside the restaurant and the wind blew it in.

Yelp
Nice variety of tacos at a reasonable price. Quality of the tacos is also very good. We tried barbacoa, carnitas, cochinita and arrachera. Very casual place with excellent service. Right in front of the plaza which is very cool and convenient.
