Barbary Coast

I recently stopped by this store unexpectedly because of a concert nearby, and I had the best experience purchasing their products. I didn’t catch the name of the person who helped me, but he was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain each product so I could understand what I was looking for. Whether he’s the owner or an employee, he’s doing an amazing job. If he’s the owner, he clearly runs the business with care. If he’s an employee, the store is very lucky to have someone so passionate and dedicated. I’ll definitely be coming back! I don’t care if I live far away. 😂

The staff was friendly and treated us exceptionally well. Inside is beautiful and had great products. The surrounding areas looked like a rough part of town, but their staff really made up for it! Big shout out to Mickey( you were awesome, brother!)

Always a pleasant experience. Last time I went they were playing Stargate SG1, Xena, and Bob Ross in the lounge before switching to live music. Some sort of scat man and a jazz guitar (perfect for the atmosphere). I always come back when I'm in the area.

My girlfriend recently decided to try cannabis for the first time. So we stopped into your store and she was instantly put at ease by your knowledgeable staff member Sam. He took time to help her figure out what she wanted in a high. He made the experience easy and fun. We will definitely be back!!!

Amazing marijuana smoking lounge. Very chill vibe, dark, cozy feel. Prices weren't terrible and they rent bongs for $5 or glass bowls for $1. They can also set you up with a dab rig and they provide papers and a grinder, tray, and matches as well as free coffee and pastries occasionally. Good people.

Loved this place. People there were really friendly and helpful. Hanging out in the Lounge area was chill and private. Definitely recommend 👍👍

Made my trip to SF amazing. Budtender is super knowledgeable and super personable. Highly recommend. The lounge is comfy and quiet.

This place was pretty neat. The service was good, chill people in And out. The selection of different categories was good also price range was great. Liked the pool tables as well as the music. It made a good vibe and wasn't awkward to sit smoke and chill With my wife.

Chill lowkey lounge for the smokers! First time visiting San Francisco when I stumbled upon this place. Very clean on the inside, wasn't crowded weed was good, customer service was great very knowledgable about their products and recommended some good pre rolls. $8 pre rolls were smoking! Tried Lemon Og x Trainwreck Cadillac Rainbow x Slurty 3 GP x PM Black Runtz x Slurriez Also got some Camino edibles great flavor chill vibe

This was a nice place to unwind for the evening. Once you check in you're able to browse their extensive collections of flowers, edibles, oils, and more. My fav part was the lounge area, where you could go enjoy your purchases over some music and mingling with other customers. The staff was friendly and patient while I made up my mind. It's definitely worth a visit!

This place has a dab bar and that's reason enough to visit. Staff was very welcoming and very helpful and patient. They had tons of options so they helped me narrow down my selection. I would say prices are a little high but I'm also from the east coast visiting the west, so my expectations are different. Stop by, you'll love it!

The inside has a great vibe, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Prices are pretty good. Would recommend. Understand there's not a lot of parking close by. That's why the four star.

Legit spot with a dope lounge to where you may smoke/consume your herb. They also keep it pretty chill yet lively on the lounge where they hold bingo games and stand up comedy. My wife and I were there this past Sunday and we'll definitely be back again.

I went here looking for a specific strain and while they didn't have any in stock, I found a suitable alternative Value (5/5): They've got pretty much every budget and price point covered. I love the deals here. There's a lounge too but I haven't had the pleasure of enjoying it ... yet.

From the moment we walked in until we left, we were amazed! Everyone was so nice and helpful!! Great selection!

The only reason this place even gets a star is because there is no option to say zero stars. When we got there at 9 o'clock last night, we were expecting to be able to make a purchase and go to the lounge... Which the voicemail says closes at 9:30. When we arrived, we were very rudely told that the lounge closes at 9:15 and they still did not let us go in so that we could enjoy what we purchased. Specifically, the lady that was working was extremely rude and abrupt with us. We will never be coming to this dispensary again. We will be going to Urbana instead!

In comparison to another lounge we've visited, this one was better. The music was hip hop, tables were decently clean. The bud tender who helped us was upbeat Cons: when we called, they stated that they would have pastries and coffee. Yet it was sparse and not clear on how to use coffee service Only diet sodas and energy drinks were available. The place could have been cleaner. The prices were decent when compared to other dispensaries. The selection was fair as mentioned.

Clean and spacious dispensary with friendly staff. I'm impressed with the amount of space they have to include a smoking lounge. Selection seems pretty wide but standard. I came for one of their free Thursday comedy nights. Entry is free with a purchase from the dispensary with I think is a perfectly reasonable business model. You can enjoy ur purchase, listen to comedians for an hour, and bring ur own food from outside! I wish I'd known the latter. FYI the place is cash preferred or $5 charge on credit card

Super clean inside and staff is super welcoming. Would recommend as a spot to chill and their prices are reasonable.

TL;DR: great product, super staff, and a cushy lounge make Barbary Coast a sure bet. --------- Author's note -- I am not high on my Barbary Coast supply, they really are this good! I am an old-school medical cannabis consumer, well-versed in flower, and let me tell you -- Barbary Coast has an amazing selection of hard-to-find sativa strains. The thought of dabbing used to bring me anxiety, I'm too clumsy and there are too many instruments to break or burn for me to even consider using concentrates. However, Barbary Coast has a vape station with glassware and patient staff who can help teach you. Two visits later, and it was me teaching other visitors how to dab -- how cool is that?! Finally, the lounge and staff. I have Long Covid, and went almost a year without being able to visit San Francisco due to fatigue and brain fog. Now that I found B.C., I have a hub for enjoying the city. I go adventuring, come back to B.C. for some sativa and a rest, and feel refreshed for the next round. Everyone in there truly seems happy to see me, and they all use my preferred name without my needing to ask! Barbary Coast is a sure winner in my book on all counts!

Classy spot I tend to gravitate to when I'm looking for refills on my pens. I get herb very rarely but these folks always have very friendly budtenders, a classy lounge if you are into that sort of things, and a cool aesthetic inside. They usually do specials so make sure to ask, also they also have a fair amount of demos though I've noticed them get less frequent as of late. If you want variety there are definitely places with more but I would go here 9 times out of 10 over Stiizy or any of the other nearby locations.

I don't go to Barbary often but I was in Union Square today and thought I'd pop in. Figured out what I wanted and went to pay and was told there is a $5 "service fee" to use a credit card. Then told there is a $3.50 "service fee" to use a debit card. Or I could pay to use their ATM. $5 to run a credit transaction is tantamount to robbery. There are equally amazing shops that don't charge those asinine fees, highly recommend you avoid them simply for that reason.

Always my go to club! Service and product are 2nd to none! Only issue is I had a large amount of points and they mysteriously disappeared! But, again the product and service was impeccable!

New customer, had to go thru a check in but it was easy. Guy helping me behind the counter was great. Prices higher than Florida, for sure!

This is the pinnacle of dispensaries, gorgeous and there is a smoking room inside that's basically an old school bar with tables and leather chairs for seating and big screen TVs. They give you an ashtray, water and matches and you can smoke what you bought before ever leaving! Crazy. I've never seen this anywhere and it's a epic place to hang with friends or just by yourself to chill. Please be respectful and don't ruin it for the rest of us. It's not common that you can smoke inside a dispensary and we do not want to lose this privilege. The staff is super nice and they have the best quality and most interesting variety of products I've ever seen. We visit every time we come to SF. It's bordering on a sketchy part of town but there is security out front and I've never felt scared. We take an Uber from our hotel and back, so we get dropped off right in front and can use the smoking room and then take an Uber back to the hotel. No driving under the influence is necessary. Or, park in the garage next to Johnny Rockets and it's a short walk to Barbary Coast. This place is a unique experience. Enjoy!

First time in this dispensary and a lounge and it was pretty neat! The pre roll selections I had were really good enough to keep us going all weekend.

This place sure is a classy joint. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and are always ready to make your experience memorable. My favorite feature is their lounge. It's time limited (which makes sense when we're being honest with ourselves) but allows you to try out the very high quality products that you just purchased in peace and relaxation.

Great ambience and selection. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great for a date or hangout w friends, since they have a few board games. Though I would say that some of the games such as the jenga may be missing a few pieces, still fun though.

Highly recommended! It's one of the few dispensaries with a lounge. They have trivia nights as well. Friendly staff and chill place to hang. Make sure you tip!

This is my second time at Barbary Coast SF and it's definitely vibes every time I come. From the music .. events ... to the people. Definitely come here if you get the opportunity to enjoy some good tree and relax !

Amazing selections. Super friendly and helpful staff. Loved the lounge next door. We purchased a cap and got compliments when we traveled via SFO to Austin.

Very good higher quality product, they also accept debit if you make a purchase online, which really helps the convenience factor. I believe there products are prolly the best on the west coast, having tried it in all major west coast legal states.

In a stop in San Fran for cousins 50th birthday. This was our first stop. I have to say the ladies from the check in to the check out were very nice and helped me understand what was what . Easy peasy with showing your ID and a nice selection of TCB products. Secure environment. Great packaging. And great prices. Understand in CA you do not need a card

Me and my fiancé were looking up dispensaries in SF when I came across this place. What got us in was that you can actually lounge in there. Staff was very friendly, and for being in Sf this place was decent looking. They rent out equipment to smoke out of but you're also welcomed to bring your own. You just can't bring your own weed, snacks or alcohol. Parking on the street sucks but there's a parking garage about 5 minute walk away. We had a good experience. Very chill and great weed

Great little dispensary with informative employees. The best part is the smoking lounge area to enjoy your newly purchased items. It's got a warm cozy feel with leather and wood. Very relaxing! Highly recommended, especially if you are from out of town and would like to smoke indoors.

I've been to SF twice; Christmas last year and for the New Year this time. Besides how impeccably clean and gorgeous the establishment has been maintained, their staff has been repeatedly helpful, honest and just all around good peeps. I have not a bad thing to say about this place, at all. They provide all the necessities if needed (tray, papers, lighters, pipes, etc..) They also have TVs and self serve water in the lounge area, which is sort of regal looking, unique and a perfect look for the chill vibe it provides. There is also a rig station if you have bought a concentrate. I have to say, every time I go to SF, I'll be stopping in. :)

This spot is super dope! Love all friendliness and knowledgeable staff. I really like the design inside and love the lounge area where you can smoke and play games and hang out with your wife or folks. Can't wait to come back and hang out and fire up.

A hip Happy Place in San Francisco, a destination location for my flower friendly friends. They have a Dab Bar, Smoking lounge, offer all the utensils you need, while playing upbeat lounge music. Side note: It's shady outside especially at night, but they have security guards outside and keep an eye out. However, I do suggest you LYFT or UBER in and out at night.

Extremely unprofessional and unaccommodating. Never buy from them. They called me back and asked me to add to my order after I placed an order on the website since they just remembered that the minimum purchase limit has increased.

No more vendor discounts... That's ok everyone has to make their $ especially with the ridiculous tax increases that the government continues to impose on this sector.. Visited a couple times. Cool spot, cool people and always a great time. Music playlist is perfect. Could definitely envision making a pit stop for my better half when we decide to tie the knot. Great customer service with each visit! Even when there's a line, it's efficient and moves quickly. They have a professional and organized system in place. Water stands with cups and hand sanitizers are sprinkled throughout the establishment. The lounge has several flat screen TVs (muted) with nice music in background. Each employee seems very knowledgeable about the products. They have alcohol wipes to clean off the bongs and whatnot that you may need to borrow during your visit.

Good prices and good flower what more can you ask for. A really cool spot with really nice staff when I'm back in town will def hit it up again.

I love this place! It was my first time going to a dispensary in SF and I was worried it would be expensive since it's in the city, but I was pleasantly surprised by the prices and quality of service. The staff members were all super friendly and had some great recommendations. I was able to get two pre-rolls for $20 which I thought was a great deal. Would definitely recommend this place for your next cannabis run!

I've been coming here fakeway for about 6 months off and on but tonight was special! I went in on a budget and without a hoodie I had to make that choice .... 1 8th or 2 you know we allll been there ATM to far don't wanna pay the fee so you work with the work ... or with what you working with in ya pocket. This place actually sucks as a dispensary came in at 9o'clock when I got here it was closed , on Google and over the phone they say they close at 9:45..... Please never ever come to this dispensary place sucks
