Hands down best matcha in the GTA 🙌 My favourite is the peach and Sakura matcha. The matcha cold foam is so creamy and flavours are all very yummy. The pastries are all beautiful and delicious as well.

I really enjoyed their mango matcha latte. I’m quite picky about my matcha but I was pretty happy with the quality. The service was also great and the ladies working there were super friendly. It is in the middle of a supermarket food court so there’s seating but it’s shared with the rest of the food court which ends up making it pretty loud and busy. Parking was also quite full on a mid day on a weekday. Will definitely be back to try another flavour.

Tried the matcha dalgona latte and the mango matcha latte and were amazing! The dalgona is nice if you don’t want too much sweetness and the mango and matcha go really well together. Will definitely come back and try more of their lattes!

This cute cafe is a Matcha lover’s dream. They have such a fun variety of matcha drinks, with my favs being Matcha cream strawberry latte, Mango Matcha and Banana Matcha. They are very refreshing and balanced. Their pastry game is strong - delicious.

I tried pastries and two drinks from Barburu today one Matcha Earl Grey latte and the daily special (Black Sesame Hojicha). I really, really recommend the Black Sesame one! It was finished before I could take a picture, so I posted the Matcha instead 😅 I haven’t tried the pastries yet. Maybe, I’ll come back with feedback later if it’s good 😊 Update: Overall, the pastries were good. Update on January 18: I came back again this week to have Black Sesame Hojicha. Unfortunately, not as good as last time I tried 😢 The sesame flavor was mild.

Love ALL of their matcha lattes (OG, Strawberry, Earl Grey etc.). (But the matcha salted foam is pretty mediocre. Don’t recommend that.) Pastries are great. Especially their mochi flan. Matcha basque cheesecake has great matcha flavour.

The matcha drinks are delicious 😋 So much variety to choose from. They have Matcha Menu and Coffee Menu. Their bakery goods are sold out fast. Sakura Matcha is refreshing. A little bit pricy but highly recommended to try it out.

Ordered this matcha baked good and wasn't expecting much as I was full from other food, but 😲 wow. It was delicious. The outside was flaky, inside creamy and I think a piece of mochi was in the middle or something cuz it was chewy (for me). It wasn't overly sweet, just perfect for me actually. I would go back and try their other goodies. Fyi I was there in the morning and they were just bringing them out. Others have posted that by 2pm stuff is gone.

This place is super hyped on social media so I had to go check it out. It's located inside the Yuan Ming supermarket's food court. Tried their regular matcha and the strawberry cream matcha and both were decent but I personally liked the cream version more tha the regular coz of the texture and richness. Wouldn't go all the way to get the matcha though lol it wasn't that extraordinary.

After hearing all the hype on social media about Barburu, I had to check it out! I originally thought it's located inside a supermarket, but actually it's located just outside the supermarket, in the food court area of the plaza. Upon arriving around 1PM, there were 3 people in front of me lining up to place their orders already. Line moved quickly, there was a variety of matcha flavoured drinks to choose from. Pastries looked good but I didn't get any to try myself. Got their strawberry matcha and I thought it was good and creamy! I prefer a stronger, richer matcha taste which this lacked a bit of. However, still a great drink and I'd come back again to try some more flavours!

Matcha jasmine latte & matcha mango latte It's like a hidden gem. I love how they have various matcha latte flavours: blueberry, strawberry... The thick matcha foam is delicious!!!

Such a delicious matcha spot with the most rich matcha. It's located in a convenient store which is certainly unique but the flavour is definitely worth the venture! I had the peach matcha latte and my sister got the earl grey matcha and I personally found the peach matcha latte much thicker and more flavourful! There is also a lot of delicious looking pastries that we will need to try the next time we come visit.

I find myself always coming back to this matcha spot when I'm in the area, as they have some pretty good matcha drinks. This spot is located right outside the supermarket and there's usually a line depending on what time you go. I've tried their mango matcha, matcha coconut and new flavour white chocolate matcha latte. All were good and will be back to try more flavours!

Delicious Iced Strawberry Matcha ! The matcha was so smooth and blended so well with the sweet yey slight tanginess of the strawberry jam. I could drink this every day! Loved it!

We were in this small food court grabbing some lunch when I noticed Barburu. I wasn't necessarily in the mood for a coffee but I figured I'd check out their offerings. I noticed something called a Dalgona Latte, and after a little googling, I learned that Dalgona is a Korean candy. How could I not try something that unique? I'm so glad I did because this is one delicious concoction. Dalgona turns out to be a honeycomb type candy and it's really good. There are big chunks in the drink, and they're a really fantastic treat after you've finished gulping it down. I really enjoyed this coffee. I'll totally be getting it again if I'm in the area.

It's nice there's a good matcha place in mississauga now and it's a small business too! Initially I thought mississauga wouldn't have the market for this but i was wrong. I haven't tried the pastries yet but the matcha is strong and not too sweet (you can also further ask for reduced sugar). Probably the best matcha in mississauga. It's located in the center of the yuan ming food court and it's nice to see more of the asian community have a hub to go to at city center

Barburu is located in Yuan Ming food court centre. It's not too difficult to find as it is just in the food court of the grocery store. This was my first time visiting here with my sister as she saw a TikTok video of Barburu stating that it had one of the best matcha drinks in town and when we tried it we can confirm that they have some really good matcha! They also have multiple matcha options for you to choose from as seen in the pictures. I tried the guava matcha latte and it was soooo good. I've never had a guava matcha latte so that was interesting tasting both of them combined. They have a variety of unique matcha flavours for you to choose from which I don't see any other place doing. Overall, the only bad thing is that you're going to have to wait in line

Located in a food court beside an Asian grocery store, this store has delicious baked goods and drinks. We tried the milk tea mochi flan - the outer crust was light and crispy with the flan inside being soft and creamy. The milk tea flavor was subtle but present. The mochi had a good chew though slides quite a bit depending on your bite. Price: Expensive but has some delicious and pretty treats

This is a review for their Lunar New Year pop-up at Square One -- not their regular store. Their gift box of baked goods was beautifully packaged. We were there near the end of day, and so the box which was originally set at $30, was sold to us at $20! It was an incredible deal, considering the time that must've gone into crafting each of the 6 baked treats. Really could've been sold for $40-50 each box. I hope they have made enough to cover costs! And know that their work/art deserves more! Anyway, onto the box -- it had a lovely variety of goodies, with terrific ingredients and beautiful presentation. I think some of the items could have more stronger flavours, but overall was quite a nice box to share. My favourite item was the Pineapple Almond Cookie! Now I look forward to trying their other items and drinks at their shop.

My partner and I got the Earl Grey matcha latte and dalgona matcha latte. We both agreed that it is one of the best matchas we've had in the GTA! The matcha itself is pretty strong but umami. The milk doesn't overpower the matcha. You can really taste the Earl Grey in the matcha latte which I've never been able to re-create when I make matcha at home. My partner really enjoyed the sweetness of the dalgona matcha latte. We went here on a Saturday afternoon and there was quite a bit of a line. We also got the matcha mochi flan. By like 3:00pm, they had like one line of these flans left so we got there just in time. We really enjoyed the flan! The matcha taste was strong and the mochi layer was a nice touch. It could be a bit thicker but this was also one of our favourite matcha desserts we've ever tried! Like most places in the GTA, the prices of matcha drinks range from 7-9 dollars but we would highly recommend this place!

I have been meaning to try their matcha for awhile now and I'm glad I had the chance to do so. Their matcha is truly amazing and you can really tell they use high quality. The staff were so patient with us and friendly. This place is located inside the food court beside the grocery store. Their stall was clean and bright. I ordered the Coconut Matcha Latte (4.5/5). It was smooth and creamy and the hint of coconut was a delicious touch to the drink. Their items are a bit on the pricier side but I'd say it's worth it based on the quality.

Newly opened Barburu sells asian-french-danish pastries. Located in the center of Yuan Ming's newly reno'd food court. Excellent croissants. My fave asian treat is the wife cake, made with gewy winter melon. However the website has more interesting flavors that I didn't see displayed. Hope to see those soon! Convenient meal spot when out grocery shopping, or when you might need to binge eat after traffic court next door. Lots of free parking. Easy to find. The food court has its own accessible exit on the east end of the building. You can cut through Yuan ming too, but leave ur shopping cart on that side. I should add that this is a soft opening. We went back for drinks and the raspberry pastry (which is phenomenal*****). The ruby grapefruit fruit tea was surprisingly bitter but refreshing in a flowery herbal way. The jasmine milk tea has wonderful flavor and lightly sweet. Excited to see what more divine treats they will bring!

Great little gem of a cafe within the supermarket! I got to try the strawberry matcha & dalgona latte drinks with a crookie (croissant and cookie combo)! The matcha was very high quality and definitely one of the better places for a good matcha drink! The dalgona latte was slightly underwhelming, but still delicious and worth to try nonetheless. The crookie was interesting, I have never tried this combination of a bakery item before, but despite how sweet it may sound, it was not at all, and is perfect for a snack when visiting this cafe.

One of my favourite places in Mississauga to get a good espresso based drink or matcha! They're located in a food court area inside Yuan Ming supermarket (which is pretty convenient because you can grab a drink/snack while grocery shopping or vice versa). My favourite drink is the coco-matcha (coconut water with matcha foam and it is DIVINE). Staff are very friendly and are always helpful when describing their different menu items. Service can be slow some times but I've watched them make their drinks and the amount of detail and precision that goes into them, makes it all worth it! While they do have a wide range of pastries, I've only tried their croissants and Biscoff cookie. They taste great and have lots of layers, but I found them to be a TAD bit over-baked. The cookie wasn't too sweet which is a bonus for me. Matcha is ceremonial grade and I believe they source their coffee beans from Pirates of Coffee in Mississauga (don't quote me on that). Overall great people, great drinks, will definitely be coming back!

Located in the food court next to Yuan Ming super market, the entire food court is full of hidden gems. The food and drink from Barburu are great. The matcha mochi flan was amazing, possibly the best I've ever had. The matcha strawberry milk tea was also very good. It did take a while for the drink to be made, so thankfully it wasn't very busy at that time.

Been wanting to try the pastries from here but they're only available certain days. Was able to snag a few one day and they did not disappoint. The matcha is always a hit.

The matcha was fantastic. The mango one was amazing and I don't even like mango at all. I do wish the matcha was a bit stronger, but it was still the best I've had in the area. The line is rather long so there's a wait and the cups are a little small with a bit of ice but it's so worth it. They have a lot of matcha options and other drinks and pastries which is nice.

Tried the viral matcha mochi danish and it was good but the price was very expensive ($9 for one). They also have a lot of other pastries while some imo were more reasonably priced. I also got their matcha latte and that was very good as it had a pretty strong matcha flavour and wasn't very sweet. Staff was also friendly.

What's the definition of Barburu? Service is top notch. Loved the grand opening 20% discount. Sweetness overrides the matcha flavor. Prefer matcha taste over sugar taste. Easy parking & washroom in food court is clean.

one should try early grey Milk tea. Freshly made. Best customer service in Mississauga.
