We stayed as part of our tour group. First part two night. Stayed on 11th floor. Arrived late and the receptionist was excellent dealing with us quickly. Unfortunately the bed for our son was not made up but this was rectified v quickly. Room and breakfast was fine. Pool area lovely. Our last night on tour was also spent in Barcello. This time we are on 5th floor and the rooms have just been refurbed to a really nice standard. We watched the opening of the gem museum fireworks from the Restaurant which served lovely food. We had to leave in the middle of the night to catch our flight. Same person at reception ensured we had our wake up calls, they packed a breakfast for us. A really nice bookend hotel for our trip in Egypt.

Well presented, although a little noisey where the locals played boardgames in the evening. Hotel was clean and good selection of buffet at breakfast, it could be rather busy. The pool was smallish but clean. Lifts on one side stop at the pool level they must have added floors which has its lift on the other side of the hotel. The ladies in the beautician were very helpful. Prices very reasonable. The waiter in the downstairs restaurant was also very helpful. Meals were good quality and large portions. The pizza was too much so we took half back to the room! Good clean hotel, friendly staff, would go back.

Lovely hotel, good menus and decent breakfast. Shame they are currently building a metro right outside. You'll need to approach the hotel from The side road, but its not too bad. They offer a taxi service, but we used uber! Which was speedy, convenient and at least 90% cheaper! You can go anywhere for just £2! We visited the the new Grand Equiptian museum ✨️ it was really good and very well laid out. The rooms pretty big, clean and pretty modern. Lots of lifts, little gift shop, barbers and massage place at the back of the lobby. Yes, I would stay here again.

Visited last week, a gift from my daughter to celebrate my 60thbirthday. Pyramid view room was stunning. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Evening meal had few choices from the buffet style restaurant, but there was always something to eat. We ate in one of the à la Carte restaurants on our last evening and the food was excellent. The highlight of our visit though were the trips we booked with the agent in the lobby of the hotel. Their assistance and advice were Invaluable, tailoring trips to our needs. Our guide Emad Hegab was friendly, knowledgeable and looked after us all week, and we couldn’t fault him. We had a fab time. I would advise anyone visiting to speak to them.

Really nice hotel stay here. Clean comfy rooms, although I had to move once and the second room was quite small - but comfy. Good AC. Nice bathrooms. The rooftop restaurant had nice food and an incredible view of the pyramids. There’s an outdoor area you can see the view from or have a drink on although it was quite windy when I was there. The pool was nice and had a little bar and nice loungers around it. The pool area staff were helpful. I had a massage downstairs which was good and good value for money. The staff overall were friendly and helpful. Cash machines in the lobby were useful. Good location for the pyramids, though quite far from the airport. Breakfast was a bit limited. Overall a good stay here.

The hotel is fine to stay in without any problems. Modern enough, clean and with good service. Make sure you enjoy the fantastic roof views. Easy to catch a taxi or Uber nearby.

Ahmed who works at the travel agency of Barcelo Hotel has made my stay in Cairo exceptionally great. He is very friendly, helpful and gave me sound advice on how to safely explore the Cairo city as a solo traveller. ||Being one of the first Egyptians I met, his warm hospitality made me feel very welcomed and left me with great first Egypt impression.

Our family of four stayed there in May 2025. Despite the issues with the trip organizing company, Travelodeal (a UK company) that failed to make timely payments to the hotel, the manager, Mr. Mahmoud (I hope I got the name right), was very accommodating and incredibly kind. The rooms were spacious and clean; the breakfast offered a good variety of food, and the staff was wonderful. Additionally, the hotel is located very close to the pyramids (about $4 by Uber). Therefore, if we ever return to Cairo, I would definitely choose to stay at Barcelo Cairo Pyramids.
