Yelp
Wow. Okay. This was supposed to be a 5 star hotel, and when I walked in, it was. The decor was beautiful, the vibe was fresh and kind. Even an employee offered to take up my bags and brought me water while I sat down with (one of!) the concierge(s). She was very friendly, and so far, I was loving it.
Then, I went up to the room. Oh my gosh, it was beautiful. The king-sized bed, perfectly made, with a little fan souvenir and even a hat that says, "EM Hotels."
I thought that was so neat!
My problems didn't start until later.
I was calling housekeeping to order a body pillow from the pillow menu (yes there's a pillow menu!!!). The concierge said she'd send a woman up.
Hours passed, and I never received a pillow. At 10pm, I called again, reminding them to bring up my pillow.
After about a half an hour, a woman brought up my pillow. Then she started yelling and screaming at me saying I got her in trouble for saying she didn't bring up my pillow. I thought his was ridiculous. This is my vacation, an dim staying at YOUR five-star hotel. You have no place to be yelling at me because you weren't doing your job. I ended up slamming the door because she would not stop.
The problems end there, though. Very nice hotel, beautiful lobby and rooms. The bathroom was probably my favorite part. It had a generous bath, with bubble soap and salt scrub, along with a sponge to bathe with and a sliding door so you can watch television from the tub, which I thought was pretty cool.
Overall, the hotel was great. I would recommend staying here, as long as you don't order pillows! (Or at least, don't call a second time.)
