Barceló Santo Domingo

Very nice hotel for the area. My room did smell like a dungeon in which the door had not been opened for a long time. My friend's room smell like smoke and liquor 🥃. But the hotel was very nice. Food was great

Every staff member I spoke to had a great attitude and always willing to help with anything I needed. The food is amazing, the prices are awesome, the pool is gorgeous! Great location in the city.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Barcelo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The hotel, formerly known as Hotel Lina, is centrally located, making it very convenient for exploring the city. There's a spacious, free parking area that's guarded 24/7, which was great for peace of mind. The staff were incredibly cordial and professional from the moment I arrived, even accommodating my late check-in seamlessly. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The outdoor pool area, with a main pool, a children's pool, and a jacuzzi, was a highlight, along with the well-equipped gym and cozy bar. While I did experience a minor electricity outage that affected the elevator temporarily, the hotel's swift response made it a minor inconvenience. The buffet breakfast was convenient, though a bit repetitive, but still offered good value for the price. Overall, Hotel Barcelo offers excellent value for money with its quality service and amenities. Despite minor issues, my experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers.

The hotel facilities were great. The pool ,the breakfast is a plus, great variety every day. The rooms bed were comfortable but the air conditioner didn’t quite cool off the room and the air coming out of it was very humid

I want thank Aurelio, a bellman! He was always so kind and helpful! My compliments to the chef who served the best shrimp Caesar salad, I’ve ever eaten by the swimming pool! I found the room service to be excellent. Also if you’re not interested in the buffet breakfast. Room services is 24 hour here! I also want to thank the front desk for assisting me and changing my room from the noisiest side of the hotel to the more quiet poolside! If you can upgrade to the premium level when you get much more amenities! This was my first vacation in four years and absolutely enjoyed it here in Santo Domingo!

Loved the hotel, my big kudos to the chef who made the best paella I've ever had. Staff is very nice and king. Crystal and the other room service girl thank you. Starting from the door guys to the housekeeping ladies awesome people. The manager was all over checking on the guest wish they had managers like him in every hotel in Santo Domingo. The bar and lounge was awesome we had a great time. Casino staff are also very attentive. I can probably write 90% of the names here of the staff and say thank you. The food is soooo delicious I was happy daily

I am a 10 year customer. At one time she was a 5 star hotel. She was once at her best. Over the years all have depreciated. The rooms service decor. She still shines bright on some days

Arianna, Francisco and Luis were amazing with their professionalism and service at the front desk. We had a booking situation that we wanted because it saved us money and they did everything to help us and make it happen regardless of how long it took them. This is not my first time here which is the reason I also decided to come back. Very clean rooms, not outdated and up to date, hot water (excellent) since I’m from the US. Great location (I was born here so I know) rooms are spacious, nothing broken with peeling paint or dust. Everyone with a smile on their face unlike many other hotels and resorts I have been to in Dominican Republic, Caribbean and Europe in the past. It’s worth it.
