We couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay at this hotel during our short trip to Madrid! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and everything inside worked perfectly. The breakfast was absolutely amazing—something that’s often hard to find! I especially loved the variety of choices while enjoying a mimosa. A special thank you to Laura, who went above and beyond to help create a memorable birthday surprise for my wife! From start to finish, everything was perfection. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again!

Such a great place. I cannot complain. 3 nights. Arrived late and when taken to the room, we found that it wasn't cleaned. The staff quickly apologised and upgraded us to a better room. The king size bed was very comfortable. Very quiet room. The shower was amazing. One night the tv didn't work, staff responded within minutes and fixed the problem. The breakfast buffet was to die for. Everything you would expect. Located near shops and the metro.

Amazing hotel and staff ! Breakfast was very good. We had a small issue and it was sorted out as soon as they got to know about it. Very well handled by Maria. We had a wonderful stay at Barcelo Torre de Madrid.

I’m glad we chose this hotel. Super close to the palace and other central places. Spacious rooms with good modern style. Services are awesome. Friendly front desk recommended good local restaurants. Kids love the frequent small presents (chocolates fruits etc). Will definitely choose this hotel again

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff at reception was very helpful, not just at check in but later when we had questions or needed to reserve at taxi. Our room was clean and had great closet space. The extra plugs were very helpful for electronics. We also used the pool and sauna, which were an added bonus, especially after walking around Madrid all day.

The hotel is centrally located in Madrid, close to everything. The service is excellent, and the rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. All the staff members are very courteous. They provided us with restaurant recommendations and made reservations on our behalf. The hotel also features a spa and a pool. It was a delight.

My wife and daughter and I had a two-night stay at the Barceló Torre de Madrid (12/29-12/31) that began and ended terribly. Having never been to Madrid before, we asked the hotel to recommend the best transportation to the hotel from the airport. They recommended a shuttle service which charged 50-euros upfront. We were in regular communication with the shuttle company as our flight from the U.S. progressed. They told us they were tracking the flights and for us not to worry. They said they would wait for an hour and that we should meet their shuttle at the taxi area. We had no checked baggage and made it from our plane and train to the taxi area without delay -- just in time to get a text that said they had waited an hour and had left. This text came about 45-minutes after we landed. We ended up taking a taxi for 30-euros, which was cheaper and much easier. Upon our arrival at the Barceló we told the hotel staff about our experience. We gave screenshots of texts, etc., to Lucia at the front desk -- who was wonderful and very helpful. She let us check in early to compensate for our trouble, but we did not get a refund from the hotel's recommended shuttle service. Why recommend this service when taxis are cheaper and easier -- and far more honest? ||||Then came the worst of it: Three days later, upon leaving, my 9 year-old daughter left her prescription glasses behind in the room. She didn't realize until we were on our way to Barcelona. We contacted the Barceló and asked for Lucia, but she was not available, so we spoke with William. We gave him our new hotel info and he said they had found the glasses and would ship them to our new hotel in Barcelona. This, however, did not happen. When we followed-up, William said they could not transfer the package to our new hotel because the manager said so. We spoke to the manager who said they could not and would not send the glasses. It was up to us to find a delivery service. We tried, but it was impossible. We called back and got a link to a service. We filled out all the info, but the service never responded. We went to our new hotel who were shocked that Barceló would not simply transfer the package to them, saying they do it all the time. We called back and told the Barceló's manager, but she reiterated it was not their policy. We called back again and were hung up on twice. Our new hotel then tried calling. They called the Barceló three times and no one even picked up! Once again they were shocked. They looked up a delivery service for us and filled out the online info, as it was difficult for us to do so in a foreign country, but this service never responded either. Needless to say, this was a terrible and stressful experience as our daughter cannot see without her glasses. The Barceló Torre de Madrid is supposed to be a 5-star hotel. 5-star hotels do not behave like this. 5-star hotels pick up the phone. 5-star hotels go the extra mile. This hotel absolutely did not. Terrible experience. In Barcelona we stayed at the H10 Madison, a 4-star hotel with service above and beyond the Barceló. We will be back to Madrid, but we will not stay at the Barceló. You should think twice...

The hotel had a fantastic location, and our room view was a perfect 10/10. The room was spacious and clean, but the staff was not helpful at all—they didn’t provide service even at the level of a 2-star hotel. The breakfast was fitting for a 4-star hotel. Overall, I would rate this 5-star hotel as 4 stars.

Yelp
This was a very nice hotel with staff that is extremely hospitable. They make sure to open the doors for you, get your luggage, send your luggage to your room, etc. It has an elevator, which is great and amazing views of gran via if you get a room with a view. it also looks out over a cute area with lots of shopping and eating options. it has the perfect location right off of gran via, and the rooms are very roomy. Cons of this hotel include no holder for suitcases, no microwave in the room, as well as a lack of fridge since the mini fridge is already full from Mini bar options. It's also a little further from the airport but again it's close to city Center. We also did not have a very good experience with the restaurant in the lobby as they seemed to serve everyone except for myself and my husband. I can only speculate as to why.

Yelp
Very disappointed to come to the room after 7 hours of being out and find your room dirty and unclean. When you call they blame you as if you did not put the sign for them to clean, when you not only put the sign but also told them in person. Also, when you call and ask for someone to come and clean your room the excuse they give they are busy. Seriously???????? You are not busy to collect the money but you are busy to provide the services we pay for? I will not return to this hotel anymore. Do not waste your money here.

Yelp
Nice hotel, excellent service, great location. Sonia (guest services) was extremely helpful - she went above and beyond. Jose in the bar was very attentive and friendly. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Plaza de España - beautiful.

Yelp
If you sit in certain seats you get the best views of Grand Via. During the evening this is very pleasant. Barcelo is a formal restaurant within a large hotel. In Madrid many of the restaurants are tucked in cozy spots on the street. This is not which may or may not be appealing. It is also a quiet restaurant so if you want to be able to hear others this may be a very good option. This is a white tablecloth type of service. As for the food, I enjoyed my meal and they were able to pair with a good Rioja. While it was good and traditional, there was not a particular aspect that really exited my taste buds. The meal is not cheap, but if you on a expense account budget this may be just the place for you. Service has efficient and accommodating. A trendy place, this is not.

Yelp
The Continental breakfast is small in each serving (properly) but huge in overall feasting! And the service was fantastic.

Yelp
One of the best hotels I've stayed in and I've traveled a lot. The service is exceptional, the staff super friendly and courteous. The concierge or public relations as they call it have a lot of great restaurant suggestions and go out of their way to make reservations and appointments for you. Patrica, Yoselyn and Beatriz were the girls helping me and they were wonderful! But everyone from the bartenders to all the receptionist were great. I left a paper there that was important and Pablo from reception drove it to my next hotel in Madrid because the Hilton would not help in getting it over. You don't fine service like that everyday!! The rooms are modern, new and clean. I love the bathtub with a view! They have Bluetooth speakers in the room which is amazing. My room view was also right into plaza espana and gran via.. beautiful. The location of the hotel is perfect. Its walking distance from everything and close to the bus and subway, although I took u we mostly. Highly recommend staying here when traveling to Madrid. I have to mention the breakfast bar. It was unreal. Organic fresh and a feast for he eyes and taste buds. I posted pics! I wish we had smthing like this in the states. The churro and chocolate bar to die for!

Yelp
What a gorgeous hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Our stay was organized by our tour guide but we couldn't be more pleased. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The beds were amazingly comfortable, we had a double twin room which was spacious enough for us and more than enough closet space. The free breakfast is a beautiful spread of cheeses, omelette station, pancakes, breads and baked goods and on and on. There were 4 espresso machines where you could choose from a variety of cafes.

Yelp
Let me give you the bottom line right up-front - this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in while visiting Europe, and is amongst the best of the best I've stayed in during any of my travels. I had signed up for the My Barceló affinity program before arriving and even though this was only my first Barceló stay, I was warmly welcomed on arrival as "one of our family". Even though we arrived at the hotel in the early morning, the very nice young lady who checked us in had already made arrangements for our rooms to be ready on arrival, a very welcome surprise after a long overnight flight. We were also greeted by Sonia Palmero, an absolutely wonderful woman who is the hotel's Public Relations Manager, the team that's in charge of making sure that all of the hotel's guests are comfortable and well-taken care of. Sonia's truly genuine enthusiasm for her guests' comfort made for a wonderful welcome to Madrid, and we had the pleasure of chatting with Sonia several times throughout our visit, with our new friend making sure we had everything we needed and giving us some great suggestions about cocktail bars and restaurants we should check out during our time in Madrid. The hotel's greeting extended to a plate of baked goodies awaiting us in the room, a nice touch that put a smile on my face after a long night of sleepless travel. The hotel has a modern décor that combines mid-century modern design with some cool design elements, including the big bear in the lobby tipping its top hat to you as you enter the hotel's lobby. The art continues throughout the hotel, in each floor's elevator lobby and in various corners of the hallways, all done in a tasteful yet playful way. The design carries into the Garra Bar, where we made good use of the 100 euro credit that we had for on-property spend. Now, to the rooms, which were surprisingly large for a European hotel. The lovely décor of the hotel continued right into the room, the huge windows letting in a lot of light and making the room feel even more spacious. Our rooms also had small balconies that were perfect vantage points for watching the goings-on on Gran Via and in the Plaza de España. The bed is obviously the most important part of any hotel room, and this one was quite comfortable, making for a good night's sleep. Probably the most amazing feature of the Barceló is its daily breakfast buffet - incredibly generous, with everything from freshly baked breads to omelets made to order to tortillas de patatas and more. I'll let the accompanying pictures speak for themselves! The hallmark of this hotel is definitely its staff, providing the kind of professional service one would expect in five-star hotels but in a much more comfortable, friendly, and easy-going manner. It's this genuinely friendly approach to service that made this a great stay, and I'll definitely be considering the Barceló group for future hotel stays based on this experience. The hotel is centrally located, right on a Metro stop and a short 10-minute walk to Sol, Madrid's central square - so with its great location, excellent amenities, and wonderful staff, your hotel selection for your next visit to Madrid is a no-brainer! (Say hello to Sonia for me when you visit!)

Yelp
Great food, good portions, wonderful service inside the restaurant. The view was amazing, and the hotel staff was extremely helpful in organizing our evening. Sandra Mendez was especially accommodating, she is definitely an asset to the company. I'll be back again, and I highly recommend you come here on your visit to Madrid.

Yelp
Do not stay at this hotel. My boyfriend and I are here now and are checking out tomorrow and this has been a terrible start to our trip. After being out all day, decided to come back to our room and in which case were alone and not dressed. A man walked in on both of us undressed without knocking. We reported this to our hotel thinking the right thing to do was to check the camera and comp the room. They instead offered to upgrade the room or put us in a different hotel and comp our dinner- on our last night here.. We told the manager it didn't make any sense for us to spend our last hours packing and unpacking and had plans for the night. The right thing to do would have been to comp our trip- instead she told us "you don't always get what you want in life". Her name is Maria. I am a woman, I'm sure any woman in this position would feel violated and disrespected. This is not a 5 star hotel. This is a disgusting and disrespectful place. I do not recommend.

Yelp
Loved it!!!!!! Thanks Sonia! Great hotel! Great service! But mostly they truly care about you having a good experience in Madrid. Cordial and professional.

Yelp
This is fun hotel. It is well located, has a fun decor and the people are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is huge and fresh. The bar is bright and pretty

Yelp
I had a wonderful stay here. The staff was great, our room was quiet, large and comfortable, and I loved the chic, unique decor. Also, as others have mentioned, breakfast is fantastic. They have made to order omelettes and pancakes and just about everything else you can imagine (seriously - they have separate sections for everything including bread, pastries, meats, cheeses, hot food, hot dessert, yogurt & chia seed pudding, smoothies....its impressive). I generally don't find hotels very memorable but I loved this place and would gladly return.

Yelp
Nice hotel decorated in an 80's theme. Near La Plaza España and within walking distance to many sites and restaurants. The rooms are small but clean, although I'm not a fan of the twin beds pushed together that's popular at so many European hotels. Bring a converter if you're from the United States as they don't have any to borrow at the front desk. Service is very good and friendly, always eager to help with baggage, doors or hailing a taxi. There is a nice lobby bar (Garra Bar)and a hotel restaurant (Somos) is you feel like staying in. The one bright spot is the breakfast buffet that comes with the room. Great spread of food - yogurts, fruits, veggies, deli meats, hot dishes and an omelette station. They also stress healthy eating and provide smoothies and extra add ins like bee pollen and goji berries.

Yelp
We stayed here for 5 days in July 2017. We booked in advance and used the concierge service for advice to plan our trip prior to our arrival. We emailed them regularly for advice and Ana one of the concierge staff who helped us, she was so helpful and all her advice was right on, she went out of her way on daily basis to check on us. Amazing customer service. We were traveling with our three children ages 11,14 and 15 and the hotel staff were fabulous, we used the Gym and the indoor pool and sauna daily. Everyone was so friendly and kind and made our stay one to remember. This is a new hotel and the rooms were super luxurious, modern and ultra clean. Extremely spacious and airy with any standard much less the Europeans ones. The location is ideal and a less than a 10 minute walk from most attractions. We had the premium level package and breakfast was included which was great, buffet style with an omelet station and hot and cold food which was a daily feast that kids looked forward to. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back when we visit Madrid again. Thank you Ana and all the staff at Barcelo Torre de Madrid.
