Barcoos Farmstays Bathurst

We came here for a 2hrs visit with kids and had the best time! Elaine and her helper were both amazing and the whole visit was super interactive with a large variety of animals we could get very close to and feed. All animals are well trained and seem to be very well looked after. The farm feels super authentic, much better then your common petting zoo and pricing was very fair considering you get to feed all the animals, play with the dogs and even ride the horses for a short while. Highly recommend for families with kids of all ages if you’re around Bathurst.

"Grandchildren didn't want to Leave!!" We have travelled a lot but Barcoos have the whole package for children's farm experience. From lamb feeding, horse riding, chicken, pig, cow & donkey feeding, horse & carriage rides as well as a large safe trampoline the kids loved too. Our eldest got a Draft horse ride which she loved!! The dogs became their best friends!!! Elaine was a very experienced wonderful farmer who was strict but fair with rules due to safety around animals. She gave our grandchildren an experience they will never forget. We absolutely loved waking up excited for the days activities with her. Hot crunchy bread & coffee delivered each morning was a real treat. We booked the Hillview unit which was great for the four of us but due to hearing kitchen noise early right through the adjoining wall in the morning in the kids bedroom we would stay in one of the unattached accommodation units. If you are heavy sleepers it wouldn't be a problem. Honestly we will recommend to every family we know. Thanks Elaine!!!!

Elaine deserved more than a glittering 5 stars review. I couldn't thank her enough for her hospitality during our stay w her and Ken. Our family was affected by covid prior to our visit to the farm and Elaine was so kind and accommodating to allow us to visit n stay at a time near Christmas. She was patient with the kids and shared so much knowledge with us throughout our 3d2n stay. The picturesque landscape, the animals esp the 3 dogs, everything from the sight and the sound, the entire experience was unforgettable. It was our most memorable trip in Australia till date. My family and I recently stayed for 3 nights at Barcoo's and it was absolutely fantastic! Elaine and Ken were delightful hosts who bent over backwards to make our stay fun for both the big kids and little kids. Cam was also great at the farm experience, where you are allowed to feed and touch the animals they have there. It was clean, spacious and relaxing, which is why we extended our stay in a heartbeat! Great farm stay experience. Best one that we have experienced so far. Elaine and Ken are so welcoming. The fresh loaf of home made bread we got every morning was absolutely delicious. Our kids loved playing ball with the dogs, especially Charlie Brown. Definitely recommended for people who love animals!

Delightful few days away. We stayed in the valley view unit which was warm and comfortable. Unlimited playtime with the lambs, chickens, ducks and dogs. Great morning and afternoon farm activities including riding in the trailer with the dogs to go to the end of the property and feed the cows, horses, sheep and gorgeous Eeyore the donkey. Animal encounters with Georgie the pig, the alpacas and the ponies were a real treat. Thanks so much Elaine, Ken, Cam and wonderful helpers. A must do experience!!

Yesterday afternoon my boyfriend and I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Elaine and visiting barcoos farmstays. Being from the city we were already really excited to spend some time on a farm with some animals but our expectations were met then surpassed greatly! We were lucky enough to see two newborn calves, feed a very smart pig, get the freshest eggs we’ll ever have and cuddle a very sweet cow, amongst many other things. Elaine made our visit very comfortable and very knowledgeable, we both were assured we were in good hands and she was very sweet. I recommend everyone come here and have a true farm experience, it was one of the big highlights of our trip and we’re excited to come back again next time we travel out towards Bathurst :)

This farm experience was worth every cent, we arrived a little early to make sure we were on time. We were greeted by Paris and Catherine who showed us around this beautiful farm. Our kids loved feeding Penny the lamb, the alpacas, the chickens and ducks, and the highlight was definitely feeding Pattie the sheep while she showed us her tricks and the pony rides with Zara and cute little hunter. We all loved our time there and will be back for sure. Thankyou for having a us and making us feel so welcome. We will be recommending this experience to all of our friends.
