Bare Bones Fish House & Smokery

Fantastic fish and chips - some Of the best we’ve ever had! We did the halibut and salmon, both cooked to perfection. The batter was thin, extra crispy and not greasy. The malt vinegar comes in a spray bottle which is brilliant, it let us get a light and even coating on the fries. We were pleased by the selection of non-alcoholoc drinks. There is a sheltered patio area. A must visit!

From June 3, 2025 Excellent fish and chips with friendly staff and good service. The food is a solid 5 star. Halibut fish battered and fried just right. Served with chips and ask them for the malt vinegar spray. Nice touch so that the batter doesn't get soggy. Salads and other items are good with shareable portion sizes too. Service is good with super friendly and helpful staff. Nice stopover. Update 4 days later on June 6, 2025 Stopped by again because i really liked the place. Was a little surprised! Looks like they are in the process of rebranding themselves. From Bare Bones to Off The Hook. Menu is slightly changed but still solid consistent quality. Staff is unchanged and stellar.

Very beautiful location with excellent food at a fair price. The fish and chips were better than in England. Very friendly and attentive service staff. Would love to come back.

An old church redesigned into a nice restaurant space. The patio space is covered, enclosed and heated - and dog friendly! Super fresh fish in classic beer batter, gigantic portions. The chowder was filled with big chunks of fish, probably some of the best chowder that I have ever had. Service was excellent!

Food was excellent. Our server was very kind and patient. Prices are typical for sit down meal with real food. The chicken burger comes highly recommended!

The flavors were vibrant, and the dish was prepared with such care and attention to detail that you could tell the chefs really know what they’re doing. It didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything; in fact, it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, gluten-free or not! What made the experience even more memorable was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made sure all my dietary needs were met without any hassle. Overall, if you’re looking for a place that offers delicious gluten-free food with a side of exceptional service, this is the spot. I can’t recommend it enough!

Caribbean chicken bowl and salmon bowl for lunch. Excellent, tasty, creative. Patio looks dumpy from highway but allows dogs inside.
