Lovely space! Very clean and well styled interiors. The check in process is very efficient, the waiting area is very relaxing for the patients. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. Anna, who did my Pico laser explained the process very well and did the procedure with care. The procedure ended with a comfortable cooking mask with cryo balls and LED light. It was not only an awesome experience but also a total self care treat. Highly recommended!

I’ve been coming to Bared Monkey for 3 years now, and I swear by them! They offer the best prices, and the office is really nice and clean. Most recently, I had Claire, who was very friendly, super thorough, and continuously checked in on me to make sure the pain wasn’t too much. They’re also not too pushy about me coming back, they truly only want you to come back for more sessions on an as needed basis. I’ve recommended them to at least 5 of my friends, and they’ve all become regulars! You will not regret coming here

I can't recommend this place enough!! I was so hesitant about getting laser hair removal done due to being a woman of color and hearing some horror stories but my results so far are absolutely amazing!! I really struggled with ingrowns when waxing no matter what I did before during or after my appointment and they're practically nonexistant now which is amazing. I want to specifically shout out my technician Ting! She is such a sweetheart and I always look forward to seeing her 😊. I think the price is definitely affordable considering the service you're getting- I purchased a package on Groupon which saved me some money, but honestly, with my results and Ting, I'd come back no matter the price!

Bared Monkey has literally everything you'd hope for in a laser center but wouldn't dream of finding in just one place. Such as... * Text communication for appointments (perfect for us busy folks who can't get on the phone!) * State of the art machines (crucial for those of us with darker skin who need to be mindful). * Extremely well organized staff who keep everything humming perfectly, including the punctuality of appts. * Amazing technicians who not only know what they're doing but are kind and thoughtful and who are efficient but never rushed. (A huge shout out to Julia--she is like soothing balm to my soul and I always leave feeling more relaxed than when I came in despite the lasers lol) * And most importantly, IT WORKS. Whatever sessions you sign up for, I guarantee you see the results. * Oh and second most importantly, it is AFFORDABLE. Start with a Groupon and grow to buying packages directly from them with the specials they regularly offer! It's like the pricing of a place that you don't expect to be the spa-like environment that it is! I know I'm just piling on the great reviews here, but quite frankly, they've earned them!

I've had such a great experience with Bared Monkey! I've mostly worked with Anna, who has been super helpful and knowledgeable throughout the whole experience - plus the results were pretty fast for me- seeing a difference after just one session. Plus the office is very clean and lovely. I will say, depending on the area, just know that you'll have to do 9-12 sessions. So, it's an investment but 100% worth it for me! Highly recommend!

my friend first recommended bared monkey to me for laser hair removal. my friend is meticulous and looks for the best quality so I knew this spot would be solid even before coming in. she told me to get a groupon for my first visit so I did (you can buy this package once a year). then i went in and purchased two more packs of 6 sessions immediately after my first session. i would recommend waiting a bit after your first appointment though in case you don't react well to the lasers. i just took a gamble and bought them right away lol. the office is located right in ktown which makes it so convenient to get to and it's really quiet in the office you wouldn't even know you're in the middle of manhattan. the waiting room is well-maintained and has a water dispenser. i've been coming here for my sessions for almost a year now and every technician i've had has been wonderfully nice and patient. they don't judge me for any of the questions i ask and are so gracious especially during the summer when i come in sweaty. the front desk is quick about taking feedback and scheduling future sessions. lately i noticed there are more guys at the front desk than there used to be. hopefully men will start to be more comfortable using these services too. i used to think laser hair removal is just a nice to have but now that i've done it, i think it's quite worth it. it's very affordable at bared monkey especially compared to other spots and its worth not having to think about when i need to epilate/shave anymore plus not having to deal with stubble is amazing.

I have been going to Bared Monkey for about two years now- specifically I see Vivie. She has always made me comfortable from day 1 and I refuse to see anyone else! this was my 2nd time getting laser on my lip and it has worked!! Would highly recommend coming to Bared Monkey and seeing Vivie!!

After YEARS of waxing I finally started laser for the first time here and have come to realize that waxing is throwing money out the window. Laser is the way of the future. If you are reading this thinking "should I do laser hair removal?" Yes, yes you should. A friend told me about Bared Monkey Laser. She mentioned that she's gone a few times and its been so great so far AND you can always find great deals on Groupon for your first few visits. I bought a starter package of 6 sessions for a large area, went in for the first session and literally bought another 6 sessions for 2 other areas. I am on session 5 and seeing such great results. They have been very transparent from the first session about how many sessions I'll most likely need, timeline until I should be seeing the results I want and how often I should come in. I will usually stick to the session I book ahead of time when leaving, but it's been very easy to cancel and reschedule when I need to. Everyone that I've seen has been great, but Ting is who I usually request if available. She is so sweet, patient, kind and thorough. I am beyond happy I started with packages here!

I don't know how long I've been coming to Bared Monkey spa but it's been years. I went for a large area and have been coming back to maintain it. I live in California so I score an appt whenever I'm in town for touch up. Recently I got Kiki and the touch up this time was super painless and quick. I asked her if she had reduce the intensity and she told me they just upgrade their machines so it's better and less painful. Ugh love! Kiki was great and I'll be coming back for my touch up!

I've been coming here for 3 years now. It's a very clean facility and the laser is safe for all skin types. This was my main concern when searching for a laser spa. The check-in process is very easy and you are prompted to wait in a nice waiting area. I consistently book Fannie. When I started I had services done by a few technicians but Fannie stood out because she was informative and made me feel comfortable. I definitely recommend her and the spa. The prices are also unmatched.

This place is cute and located in such a prime spot (Ktown) in manhattan! I got my upper lip, legs, underarms, and bikini done. They really get every little spot on your body. As someone who has had laser before, I see the difference of care the staff puts in here. They definitely spend more time with you and really want results. I had little to no hair after just one session- you will really want to throw your razor away after your first visit! The best part was that it was painless as well and Anna had great bedside manner and helps calm you if you are nervous. 12/10 recommend!

Their $1 Black Friday deal is a scam. I was on their website 10 minutes before the deal started (10 PM on Nov 27), and it showed as sold out from the very beginning. Extremely disappointing. I see in the reviews that people have a similar complain. Avoid this place at all costs.

I've been primarily receiving laser hair removal services at Bared Monkey, which has been a great experience. I really liked having Dora as my laser hair removal technician, but everyone has been lovely as well over the five sessions I've had. Yesterday I had a Hydrafacial done by Shanay, who is attentive and friendly, and just overall lovely. She gave me tips on taking care of my skin and did a great job on the facial, which left me feeling refreshed. Recommend Bared Monkey.

Found about this place through a friend and am using a Groupon. Staff is very friendly and professional, the office is so welcoming and bright. Water offered in the waiting room, which is also very comfy and cute. The individual rooms are sterile. You can ask for a squeeze ball to hold during treatment. Definitely worth it and so happy I found this place

Ive been going to Bared Monkey for a few years and specifically ask for Vivie or Ting (Both are amazing!) I've had a series of laser hair removal sessions, and I couldn't be happier with the results! The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and made me feel completely comfortable. The process was quicker and less painful than I expected--just a slight snapping sensation, but nothing unbearable. After just a few treatments, I noticed a significant reduction in hair growth, and by the end of the sessions, my skin was so much smoother and virtually hair-free.

Kiki is the best! She's friendly and kind. She makes you feel comfortable and she's great at her job. I'm very happy with the results. Highly recommend!

I've been a customer of Beard Monkey Laser for years. I LOVE THEM- they are extremely professional, ready to help, and easy to communicate with. They can customize every procedure for you and make you feel special. I did a few areas with them and I have results even after the first one. My technician Vivie is so gentle and always explains the procedure in detail- I know I can trust her 100% with each treatment. They have the most adorable space and few locations to choose from. Everything there is so clean and very girly and pink :) I enjoy my treatments every time and I recommend them with both hands! THEY ARE THE BEST!

Seriously such an amazing, clean, laser spa right in Ktown with state of the art technology. I started coming here for underarm hair removal a couple of years ago based on a recommendation from a friend- they have an awesome groupon deal too! In the beginning, I had sessions every 6-8 weeks, but I saw results quickly after the first session and each session consequently. The hair grew back thinner and thinner, and less and less with each session - so I started coming back only for touch-ups every 2-3 months. Currently, after 2-3 months between sessions, I only grow about 5-6 random and veryyyy thin hairs which means I basically have hairless underarms LOL. All the staff are professional and phenomenal. I'd love to shoutout my technicians, Dora, Vivie, and Kiki who are wonderful, sweet, and great at what they do- they make the experience quick, 100% painless, and permanent!

To start, the booking process is very smooth and if I have any issues, their team responds quite swiftly. Definitely utilize their Groupon deals, since they're so worth it, especially if you're doing laser hair removal for the first time. The waiting area is neat, spacious and cozy with minimal aesthetics. I booked for a large area (Brazilian) laser hair removal treatment. Prior to my first session, I received an in depth consultation to go over the process and address any questions I had. I appreciate the insight into the aftercare and laser technology devices used. During my appointment, my technician, Kiki was friendly, patient and reassured me throughout the process. She's knowledgeable and answered any concerns I had and made me feel comfortable, as it can be a bit awkward at first, since it's an intimate area. The appointment goes by quickly, usually no more than 10 minutes. She used an Elizabethan laser device which blows cool air while projecting the laser, so the pain is tolerable, like slight pricks for the most part. I'm so grateful for this tech, since it's far less painful than waxing and another laser device I've experienced that requires a gel! I'm reviewing this after having 7 sessions and I'm so pleased with my results! Most of the hair in that area is no longer visible, and the hair that remains, is much finer. I request Kiki as my tech each time, since she's kind, understanding and detailed in her application. I'll continue to come to this spa since the staff are welcoming, organized and efficient :)

Ting is an amazing technician and she is very gentle, kind, and nice. She is very welcome and talks very nicely to make me relaxed. It helps me to not be stressed and feel comfortable while doing laser.

I've been toying with the idea of getting laser hair removal for several years, but I was hesitant on getting it because of the cost + I wasn't sure how much it would hurt. I saw that Bared Monkey had a Groupon so I decided to give it a shot! I decided to get my underarms done and it was only $75 for 6 sessions which is a pretty good deal. The studio itself is located on the 15th floor right next to Hmart in K-town - there was a sign in front of the building when I came, so look out for it if it's your first time at the studio. Once you arrive at the studio, you check in on the iPad and then someone will be with you shortly. Since it was my first visit, I had a quick consultation with a worker before my first session. She basically asked a couple of questions to see if I would be a good candidate for laser hair removal and answered any questions I had. After the consultation, I was taken to one of the back rooms and had my first session! It was super painless and lasted only 5 minutes total. They applied aloe vera after to soothe the area which was nice. Even though it was only my first session, my hair has been growing back a lot slower, so I'm excited to see how it progresses in the future. You're supposed to come back every 6 weeks for the optimal results, so I'll update again after my next appointment.

What impressed me even more was Ana's honesty--she advised me not to proceed with a treatment and recommended seeing a dermatologist first, as she suspected the area might require a different approach. While the issue turned out to be nothing major, Ana was knowledgeable enough to recognize that a different treatment might be the best solution, and she was absolutely right. I really appreciate her integrity. I've been recommending this place to everyone I know who needs or wants hair removal. You will not be disappointed here.

I have done laser before and a friend recommended this place because of their prices. After comparing the prices i decided to try Bared Monkey! What i love about this location is that before you can even make an appointment you have to read through all this paper work. It was a little annoying but I'm glad i did because i learned more about the machines they use and which machine works best for different hair textures and skin complexion. Bared Monkey is very detailed and made me feel comfortable before even arriving. The staff is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable about their machines. The two technicians i like are Claire and Vivie. When they aren't available i receive a text letting me know and i can either be seen by someone else or reschedule. The laser spa is clean and modern. They still do have a mask policy but if you forgot yours, they have extras. Today was my 5th session and i HIGHLY recommend this place. I have seen a significant decrease in hair growth after completing these sessions. Like it's barley noticeable! As a women of color, with dark hair, it has taken some time to find a laser spa that actually works and is reasonably priced. Lastly check Groupon they have deals that are a steal! That's what i did in the beginning. Only downside is you can only purchase one per year. So i would suggest getting the X-Large because you will save the most money on 6 sessions.

I was hesitant at first to have laser hair removal since I'm a dark skin girlie and heard rumors that some laser machines don't work well with my complexion. My worries were completely gone once I found Bared Monkey. The ladies there are so friendly, caring, and knowledgeable plus their package deals are so affordable. I was so fortunate to meet Dora who is an amazing technician. She is the best of the best and she's so gentle that you barely feel the laser on your skin. She works with you to find the best comfort level for your treatment. To make it even better, we have the best convos ever!! It helps take your mind off the slight sting and help pass the time. I book her every chance I get!! She's one of the best!!!

Please avoid this place at all costs. Their medical staff are not trained. They lasered areas I did not have hair in which caused new hair growth as those hair follicles were newly simulated. Pay a bit extra and go to a proper place please. I am aware of paradoxical hair growth, but that only appears in areas in which you had existing hair. My technicians lasered parts of my face that did not ever have hair, causing hair growth that never was there in the first place. I later learned that more trained people really focus on only the parts with hair to prevent this--they just did every part quickly and wrapped it up. Now I am going to have to pay twice as much to go to a proper clinic and get it fixed.

I found Bared Monkey on Gilt, when I was looking for a laser hair removal place to touch up my underarms. I bought a voucher for 3 sessions. Making my first appointment was super easy - I just texted the number provided. They are located in Ktown, in one of those kind of sketch elevators from the outside, but the actual spa itself is very nice! The waiting area is big with lots of comfy chairs. At the first appointment, they spend a few minutes walking you through the process. The actual treatment took only a few minutes and for subsequent appointments, I was pretty much in and out in 5 minutes. Scheduling/rescheduling was also a breeze. Everything was incredibly seamless and I would definitely recommend them!

They advertised a $1 full body laser hair removal deal for Black Friday. The deal NEVER showed up. Similar complaints from few others too. They claim it was sold out but I do have screen shots, timed stamped at various different time. Seems like they are involved in sleepy and fraudulent marketing techniques. Don't know if any other deals ever existed. SYAY AWAY !!!

Excellent service and very good pricing for full body laser hair removal (either one session or several)

I just wanted to update my review, since I now split my sessions between Kiki and Vivie. The results have been amazing, and now I only go twice, maybe three times a year for maintenance for areas I started two years ago and just finished regular sessions for areas I started last year. Laser was something I regret not starting sooner, my skin has vastly improved and hair that I used to have a hard time removing without ingrown hairs is practically gone. Kiki and Vivie are wonderful, and I'm so appreciative of the work they do. Also, with their membership, it's cheaper for the services.

Fannie is the best technician! Very friendly and thorough. Going to Bared Monkey is always nice. Very clean and everyone is kind.
