This was one of our many stays here and as usual it was fantastic. The staff are so friendly and helpful and then rooms are fantastic. The dive shop was great and we really enjoy the diving and snorkelling here, and a highlight was the Bull Shark dive which is one of the best experiences you will ever have. Can't wait till we are back again. We love the welcome from the Warrior on top of the mountain.

This is honestly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! All of the staff are so lovely and friendly, always saying Bula! when you walk past and just wanting you to have the most enjoyable experience. Special mention to Semi the diving instructor, Solo, Sonny, Wendy, and Josh. All of the other staff were amazing as well. We did the bull shark dive and it was incredible. The staff made us feel so safe and dive itself was something I’ll never forgot. We listened to the marine conservation talk about sharks the night before which was great to do before the dive to learn more about sharks and how they are so misunderstood. The food here is delicious - we were never left hungry and they catered to our dietary requirements (vegan and vegetarian). The resort itself is beautiful, with so many day beds to lounge on in the sun or shade. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and don’t want to leave!! Will definitely be recommending to friends and family back home and will absolutely be returning in the future. Thank you! <3

Everyone was so kind, friendly and helpful on Barefoot Kuata! Solo, in the restaurant was so lovely, Joey did an excellent presentation on invertebrates and was a great photographer on our shark dive. Sammy and Seffo from the dive team were amazing help on the shark tour and night snorkel. Albert was lovely on the snorkel tours. And Sammy from the front office even taught me how to weave a basket! Overall, it was a superb stay and would highly recommend- especially if you like sharks!

This is paradise. I took my nephew here and we had an absolutely amazing experience. The people were so friendly and we had an incredible time. The team at the dive shop were top notch and super helpful. We did the shark encounter dive and wow…just wow! Not to mention the incredible snorkeling right off the beach on their reef! It is teeming with sea-life! We hiked to the summit of the island, participated in talks with their marine biologist, met lots of great people, and had a blast. I cannot recommend this resort enough!

This island is truly one of the best places to stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, clearly taking pride in their work. The visit to the local village with Aku was an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend it. Shark diving was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip, and special thanks go to the team who made it possible. The Fiji team brought an incredible energy to our stay, and the Kava tasting was a memorable cultural experience. The island’s coral and reef were stunning, offering breathtaking underwater views. A special mention must also be made to the bar staff for their excellent service and hospitality.

The best holidays we've had in a long time. We went with two teenagers, worrying they would be bored, but nothing like that. There is so much to do, the staff is beyond helpful and funny. Accommodation is great, food fantastic, and diving beyond what we could imagine. We will be back for sure.

I really wanted Barefoot Kuata to be good but it just wasn't right for us. We booked through a travel agent who had recommended the location, and in fairness, the island is breathtakingly beautiful. The resort, however, is not what we expected. ||Room: We were 3 adults and 1 child, and they had said the Beachfront Bure would be appropriate. It was not. They crammed in a bunk bed into a room that barely fits a double bed and small table with 2 chairs. There was no room for anything in the Bure other than ourselves - you couldn't open a suitcase without someone stepping onto it. It would be a fine size for up to 2 adults who want to spend no time in the Bure - but unfortunately the weather was very windy (like 50+ km/hr wind gusts) when we were there, so we had to spend all our time indoors. The Bure looks beautiful from the outside but was not on the inside - the sheets on the beds and curtains around the bed were stained. I was quite displeased that they would accept a reservation for 4 people in a room of that size. There was also no hot water in the room, and they were having an issue with water pressure so even if you wanted to shower, you kind of couldn't. I appreciate that the water pressure was an unexpected issue, but for the price point, hot water should not be an issue. ||Service: Shortly after arrival, we asked for 2 additional towels (there were only 2 in the room) and 2 water glasses. They never arrived, despite us following up. In general, the staff seemed, at best, indifferent about our existence. After coming from Blue Lagoon, it was a shock to the system. ||Food: The food was ok. We didn't like the dinner fare but the buffets were reasonably good and had decent options to satisfy most tastes. ||Other: There's no real pool there. There are 3 small pools that are each the size of about 1.5 hot tubs. So if you wanted to swim in the pool or your kids like swimming in a pool, it's not really great for that. They have some hammocks around the beach and the water looks amazing - we unfortunately didn't get to enjoy either due to the winds and waves. ||Overall, we were so uncomfortable there that we ended up forfeiting our room (and the cost we'd pre-paid for the room and food) and leaving the island to go elsewhere because it was that bad/below our standard.

Absolutely loved Barefoot Resort, I would highly recommend everyone adds this location to their Fiji itinerary and spend a few nights if you can! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the resort was so clean. It was so beautiful that I was constantly in awe of the location, sitting on the beach and just watching the waves was so special. Our room walked out to the sea which was stunning. We did the shark scuba drive for beginners and it was the perfect change to go scuba driving and see bull sharks, the team were amazing. I had a bit of stress before going in (my fault) and Semi our drive instructor was fantastic, he calmed me down and helped me with the dive and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. In the evening we listened to the free shark talk. The resort works with marine biologists so it was super interesting I couldn’t say anything bad about this resort! The food was great and amazing cocktails The island is small so it makes it so peaceful and relaxing. The Fijian warrior on the rock was an amazing part of entering and leaving the island
