Barefoot Mailman Inn & Suites, Lantana, West Palm Beach, South Florida

During my visit to my husband in the hospital, I found solace at the charming Barefoot Mailman Motel in Lantana. Its lush greenery, immaculate rooms, and updated bathrooms created a serene atmosphere. Michelle, the attentive staff, went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, making my stay truly memorable. The rooms are updated and have everything you need. However, the area is not so nice: every night questionable ppl were knocking on the door - not owners fault, but between that and the train noise it was not a relaxing stay. The 'kitchen' area looks nothing like the pictures, and I felt terrible for the straded birds in tiny cages. I'm sure some people enjoy it, I personally don't think any creature should spend their life behind bars. That's the review. Oh, also very affordable.

Not sure who has done all the rating for this hotel. But they lied. They had a fantastic camera man for their online pics apparently. Because reality was nothing like the pictures. We got in town a little later than planned but office desk guy text us and asked what time we were coming. I told him 1130 he said that’s fine the office is open till 1. We got there at 11:32 and he had left. We had to wait around for him to come back. Room had ac and water pressure only good thing I can say. Floor was dirty, we were given enough toilet paper for 2 -3 bathroom uses by one person only. The area is extremely sketchy/ very low income. We slept great (insert sarsam) minus the train outside of our window every hour or so. Ugh. If we would have had to stay more than 8 hours we would have packed up and left. I was extremely happy there was a dead bolt. The vibe was a rent by the hour kinda feel. If I didn’t have my husband with me I would have slept in the car. Never again!

This place was awsome. Checked in very late but the owner was a sweetheart and very accommodating. The wife and I had a wonderful stay. Hope we can stop in again.

We recently stayed at this charming motel, and it really took us back to simpler times. The atmosphere was so calm and peaceful, a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. We had the pleasure of meeting fellow guests as well as the wonderful staff, including the manager and the owner, who were all incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Although we initially planned to explore fancy restaurants and crowded beaches, we ended up finding the most relaxing part of our trip right there at the motel. We spent our mornings sipping coffee in the garden and evenings enjoying a beer and wine on the porch, all while listening to upbeat, calming music and the sweet sounds of nature. The highlight was definitely meeting Paco, the parrot, who added a special touch to the peaceful ambiance. It turned out to be the perfect getaway for us – so much more relaxing than we ever imagined! Do yourself a favor and make sure to add this spot to your trip – it's not just a place to rest your head, it's a place to create lasting memories.

The room was decent. Comfortable bed. Decent TV. It had a small dining area and a small desk. I had a suite in the corner, and it was quiet; no noise from the street or from neighboring rooms. Outside the room was a small table and chairs, which was nice.The shower was great. Overall, it's a decent room, and I would come back if I'm in the area. The worst thing is that they take a photo of your driver's license, which always ticks me off when they do that!

The little entourage that owns and manages this and others on Dixie in lantana and lake worth are rude. They don't fix anything that breaks in a timely manner. They tell you to leave if you don't like it instead of having customer service skills that would address the problem instead of losing guests. The bathrooms at this location are weird and too scarey for me to shower in. No breakfast offered.

Although my room was tiny, it was smartly decorated and comfortable. The man at the office couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. This place has authentic charm. However, there was no hot water, and the noise from the trains that run just across the street from the motel is pretty loud. It’s a cute place to stay in Lantana.

My family has stayed at this hotel on a few occasions and we have been very pleased with our experiences. The pricing is very reasonable, the air conditioners get icy cold, and I was able to fall asleep easy on the beds. The owner/manager Paul is nice and friendly. I would say that you need to keep your expectations in check because you are not paying fees commensurate to the Breakers. Specifically new patrons would need to understand you are not getting luxury furnishings and the showers are very tiny, so if you are a very big person you may not be very comfortable taking showers at The Barefoot. Few more tips: -There is no continental breakfast here. There is just free coffee. There are a couple decent breakfast places within maybe a mile and a mcdonalds, winn dixie, and publix within walking distance. There are a bunch of pizza places and a few fried chicken places for dinner within short driving distance. -You have to point the air conditioner remote at the air conditioner unit to operate it and they ask you to turn it off when you are leaving the room for extended periods. -If you book for extended periods of time, you may qualify for a discount. -They do give you some travel sized soap and shampoo in the room. -There is a microwave, big refrigerator & freezer, ceiling fan, small hd tv, and wifi. The wifi does disconnect or have trouble connecting frequently, is hard to log into, but once you get it, is serviceable. -Management does try to keep the area quiet. They keep plenty of security cameras going and ask patrons not to make noise overnight. I don't remember the train going overnight. -The doors did not seem super secure because you do not have a key for the deadbolt. If you have something ultra valuable, you may want to keep it on your person if you go out for the day. -They leave an envelope if you want to leave a tip for the housekeeper. -There is a pay washer and dryer on site that the office has quarters for, but there are also a few laundry mats close-by. Specifically, the Laundry Tub on Hypoluxo is great to use.

stayed almost a month one day the water shut off completely & wasn't back on for hours. Charging 107.32 a night & 130.32 on weekends plus a $100 deposit for a place where the water went off and recently before I left the hot water wasn't working & I seen plenty roaches I took pictures. The owner is not friendly & he does not care about people just wants their money but has no hospitality.

So to start the room was super cute and clean. While the staff was very sweet and accommodating. There were many issues in room 21. The tvs did not work and the staff member on duty had no clue how to operate it. The electrical outlet in the bathroom didn't work making doing my hair for the wedding we were going to and finally the ceiling fan didn't work. We were told if the a/c was on then the fan wouldn't work which makes no sense. Then she told up that someone must have taken the remote. On the positive, the bed was comfy and while the ice machine was t working, the manager on duty did go get us a bag of ice. We did love that we could all go our location

Brima Manso B review is not for this property. It is NOT ocean-front. There is NO water view and you will not hear the surf. It does NOT have a restaurant on site. All others reviews are fair and the facility is a great attempt to capture old Florida. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Barefoot Mailman is a time traveler's experience. Never did I imagine a 1950s-style property could be so indiscreet on the outside and so cozy and cool on the inside. The property guy, Cory, met me to welcome me as a guest. Super dude! The BM motel earns its charm by putting your feet on the property. Parking is tight. A BMW mini is more at home here than a Dodge pickup. There is coffee served in the sidecar bungalow patio. The rooms are a small footprint, but these days, peeps should consider good sleeping (yes!!) than the spacious Ritz approach. And where is it? In the middle of walking distance foodies and the Lantana beach. Wow! I pulled up, kinda felt freaked early, then I was, "This is it! Diamond in the rough." Old Key Lime House restaurant on intracoastal is nice way to end an evening. Go on. You deserve to be surprised in Life. Try a 2-night stay and envision old Florida at the Barefoot Mailman motel.

I stayed here for 3 nights and didn't want to leave. I absolutely loved my room, it was adorable. The bed was perfectly firm and soooo comfy, the bedding was crisp and clean, in fact everything was extremely clean and I'm a clean freak. The grounds were immaculate and super cute. They have an outdoor lounge with free coffee, fruit, snacks and ice that is perfectly inviting to ease into your day with your morning coffee. The only thing I wished my room had was a full length mirror and a bedside lamp. I would stay there again, in fact if I could afford it, I would stay there indefinitely. :)

Not a very nice place to stay and overpriced. The room was barely big enough to stand in.

Beautiful rooms. Well kept, and clean. Top notch all around! Amazing deal for the price. Responsive staff, especially Corey. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Perfect employee!

Unless they made some major changes in the last few months, the rooms look nothing like the pictures. Mine was dumpy and old. it didn't even seem large enough to be called a "room". Drunken people outside the room until 2:00 am knocking on the wrong doors etc..

This place was amazing. The property is very clean and our suite was exceptional. It was a pleasure to meet Corey, he was very professional and very nice Corey made us feel welcomed. My wife and I loved our stay. Our overall experience was great!!! We would definitely come back. I definitely recommend this motel.

This place is close to the beach and super cute! We were in a pinch and the rooms were very affordable. My daughter loved the bird feeders and all the statues. It felt cozy and the room was clean and simple. And there was plenty of stores and restaurants near by. I would stay again if we were in the area again.

This is a very nice, clean, inexpensive motel. My wife and I spent 5 nights there in December 2020 while we got our new condo ready. The room was kept very clean and the two gentlemen who run the place could not have been nicer to us. Our room had good air conditioning, a big TV, free wifi, a large refrigerator, and a microwave. This place is by far the least expensive in the area. I highly recommend it.

A definite place to stay in the Palm Beach area. Best price, flat rate, suuuuper clean rooms, and just an overall nice place to spend your time resting. Yes there is a train, but somehow the quaint garden and deck setting is so quiet and relaxing. Our go to spot to stay when visiting... book early, sells out.

I'd give them a higher rating as in past visits , but things changed,SAD! FIRST, great location, second the refrigerator, micro, help cut costs! Rooms clean and we tip out staff daily! That said this visit we noticed a major influx of non tourists and more local Florida folks, nothing wrong with this if they mind overpaying rent by $1000 with out a job? Hmm strange?well the owner claims to review videos on parking lot, but when he was off site place got busy!!! and it wasn't check ins, maybe the Bois were sharing keylime pie recipes in the front of the Escalade? Doubt it! Drunks pulling in making drinks passing out in car!adults and children school age in 1 bedroom? Social services notified!as in all hotels on Federal they get greedy in slow times and book anything! Years past many ruels were posted about long term rentals, guests here, now book here at your own risk !yes it's inexpensive to stay here, but be warned!!

If you are coming to the West Palm Beach area, you have to stay here. Charming, clean, friendly, and inexpensive. Very near the beach.

On two separate occasions I have tried to get a room here. BOTH times I called ahead of time to check on the availability and each time they informed me that there was. But when I show up...conveniently there were NONE available. Mind you I was in the parking lot BOTH times I placed the call. Smh. It seems like they "select" who they want to stay there if you catch my drift..

Clean, simple, straightforward motel. Nice staff, reasonable rates. on the downside it is near a train crossing and occasionally you will hear the train. If you don't mind that its a good place.
