Stunning location with a fantastic crew that turn this day-time women only river bath into a scenic evening location and bar. Host to many parties and events, its also just great to stop by for an evening drink - Thank you to a great team of hosts!

Barfussbar is located within the Frauenbad Stadthausquai which, open for swimming everyday from 11th May to 15th Sept 11am-7:30pm, is an art nouveau open-air historical 1888 timber public bath, part of the Seeuferanlage promenade, dedicated solely to women swimming; On three evenings a week (Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday) the bathing facility opens its doors to men as well for Barfussbar lounge/electronic music live, romantic and chilled concerts from 20 to 0:30; Barfussbar sells snacks and beverages; My choice: Stadt Zürich Rosé AOC, Pinot Noir, 1dl glass, 8 CHF;

Great bar in the heart of Zurich. There was decent live music as well, which is rare in this city.

Do you remember that lounge place you used to go when you were on vacation ? Well this is kinda like it, except strait in the heart of the city :) The interesting thing about this place is that you HAVE to remove your shoes (although they also can offer some flip flops), which quickly gets you in a more relaxed mood. The place is located a few minutes from Paradeplatz, laterally on the river, facing the Accenture building. The location is really great and can host large groups (we were at least 7). There is a large pool in the middle of the place with a small bridge that I do not recommend crossing when you are a bit tipsy :P At night, the lights make this place really special, and you feel out of the city. The place offers a small selection of biers (mostly local ones) some wines, and some appetizers for those who are hungry (I liked the Hummus :) ). We didn't try any of the cocktails but when I asked some people they looked satisfied with theirs. Prices were decent given the location and setting of the place The service is at the bar and on a sunny day or evening the waiting time could be 15-20 so don't be impatient or in a hurry. The bartenders were friendly and were fast in taking orders and serving us. I highly recommend this place for an afterwork evening with collegues or friends

An awesome location right on the Limmat: bath by day, bar by night, imagine that! Came here with a crew, we had 10 or so, but when the wind blew, we decided to go. Before that time had come, my hubby came to meet us, but they wouldn't let him in- those crazy greeters! Offering several beers, I went for the bugel brew. But they made us drink it all before we left- what a to-do. Can't bring it out of the bar...really, who knew? So in all, it's a super place, a relaxing night-time joint. But their service is truly lacking, which kinda misses the point...
