Need last minute pizza carries and Bargian Fair came in clutch! After calling multiple pizza joints ( to see if I could rent or buy one), sams club, Walmart, restaurant depo! Everywhere no one had anything especially within hours. I found Bargain Fair on Yelp called them and they confirmed they had multiple sizes! Came in customer service was amazing! The guy showed me each kind they had! Ended up getting two huge 20x something haha and they fit 10 Costco pizzas (18") along with room for other items. Only thing that was sad, " the parking"! It's street parking or try to park at the gas station and run over really quick! I honestly didn't want to say that but hey I'm not trynna pay $10 for parking! The lots won't let you do pick up or drop off! I tried fam, didn't work! It was a Friday and that whole vicinity is packed! Drove around three times hoping to score a street spot! This is LA life though.

Ok, so here's the straight dope on Bargain Fair: if you live in LA within 1/2 hour and are looking to get kitchen and or dining supplies, it would behoove you to COME HERE FIRST! No: NOT 99 Cent Store, not Big Lots, not Surfas (which I LOVE btw), nor any other foo-foo gourmet kitchen store like Willams Sonoma or Sur Le Table. Zut alors!!!!! Come here first, if they don't have it and it is a specialty item make a B-line to Culver City and Surfas. If it's run of the mill, then try other bargain places. But whatever you do: COME HERE FIRST!!!

I totally love this restaurant culinary store. It recently moved from my neighborhood to a different one. I will definitely take a bus or two to check out it's new location. This place sells every kitchen apparatus imaginable.

I rarely ever review a place the same day that I visited but they were just so helpful and friendly! I called in the morning to ask if they carried breading baskets and the lady on the phone was so incredibly lovely. Then, when we came in to purchase the items, there was only 1 left. We needed 4 and Lydia took her time helping us. She even paged two different people to check their back stock. Took a good 10 mins but the guy came back down with everything we needed. Mind you, they were a bit busy so I know other places would have just easily brushed us off and said they didn't have any left. TL;DR - Really great customer service, good prices, and a LOT of selection. Better than restaurant depot in Pasadena tbh. Thanks guys!

Bargain Fair is my go-to for all my culinary needs & more. They even have things you didn't know you needed! The owner is a true gem as is the staff-- They truly go above & beyond. I was in a big bind and needed a certain type of cup that was out of stock & the owner assured me she would make it happen. Bargain Fair prices also beat Sur La Table, Williams Sonoma and all those other corporate retailers. All I have to say is always support small businesses like Bargain Fair!

They have an incredible selection of dishes, glasses, and kitchen supplies. I basically buy all of my dishes here - it's great knowing that if one breaks I can replace it easily!

Beware Bargain Fair does not honor their products. I bought a beaker for my French Press (plastic) I used my beaker twice and it cracked. I tried to get a replacement and I was accused of dropping. They don't give refunds or offer replacement. The manager & clerk are rude. I was called a liar. The manager (Sheida Pourat) never looked at the defective container. It is not the $ it is the principal. I attached pics of my purchase for $18.93 ++ plastic compared to a French Press for $20++ (Press and a glass beaker)I bought at Koontz Hardware in W. Hollywood. I called vendor this product comes in a box. No Box only a price tag????? Terminate Sheida and the clerk or send them to a class on customer service.

Best place ever - been frequenting this business since 1973, after graduation from high school - got everything for my new apartment - I have introduced my daughter and her friends - they sell anything that it takes to cook - a bit different than the 70's, when they sold anything you needed for your home - prices are great - staff is always helpful

Sorry , first bad review I've ever written. I had to return a coffee maker because it only made one cup when I thought it was a 12 cup server. I returned it within the alotted time (7 days) but was denied a refund. I had the box and all the parts and the receipt. The person in charge was rude in her refusal to accept the return. She was argumentative and exhibited no manners in her denial. She was belligerent as well. I left the merchandise and my only recourse is to not do business with them again. I have been a customer for over 20 years. Adios Bargain Unfair.

I like this place, especially for white dishes, or glassware; they have an amazing selection. Super friendly and helpful. Their return policy is a bit brutal, but they have allowed me to exchange after the noted time period on the receipt. One star off because Lordy they need to clean the front window display. It's real real dusty.

I have been going to Bargain Fair for so many years. It's my one stop shop before throwing a party, and I love that I can find the best simple and beautiful cookware there. I have also noticed that many of my favorite restaurants around Los Angeles get their plates and dishes from Bargain Fair! They have the best prices, you really can't beat the deals. And the staff is always so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend bargain fair to all my new friends and coworkers when they first move to la or need need new kitchen supplies, dish ware etc.

They are not helpful whatsoever, I was looking for something specific, they had about 5 employees walking around doing nothing, and not one asked me if I needed any help. Also their return policy is ridiculous, they don't tell you that certain items are Final Sale and they won't give you credit. Will not go there again.

Alot of plate of selection and restaurant equipment. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Even anything that need but I found pretty much stuff for restaurant. The plates price are fair .

FINALLY! I found a restaurant supply store that has so many things I've been forced to search for on Amazon or forced to pay too much for at Target, only to not get what I really had in mind. I am most excited about finding single serving, ceramic cups with a pouring lip (for shabu shabu, or any dipping sauce). The point is, this place has real bargain prices for more than cookware, more than restaurant supply, but many household goods and even sweet deals on home décor! See my pictures of my haul from this place, I went to the smaller store on Beverly (near 3rd and Beverly). They have a second Bargain Fair that is a larger store on Pico. It felt like I bought everything I always wanted and couldn't find at all online, or I couldn't find at a price commensurate with value.

I usually go to Sur La Table at Farmer's Market for the latest and greatest in kitchen products but I heard about this place and decided to check it out. They have a ton of merchandise but it's geared more toward a professional kitchens and restaurants, it's "functional not fancy". I did buy several dough scrapers that were probably 90% less than what SLT charges and had to resist many other small bits. I highly recommend stopping here and browsing even if you don't need anything immediately, you'll know to check this place first. It's LA so we expect to have to hunt for a parking space but I've always had luck finding a premium space by the front door or around the corner. Why 4 stars? It's a big dusty, cramped and even dingy but I think their prices make up for it.

My table and serving dishes and bowls look like a million bucks thanks to Bargain Fair! I love the modern simplicity of the white collection. People are always asking where I got it! AND I love a good bargain!!!

This place feels like Disneyland. So many products, so many options, and such great service. The lady who owns it is extremely knowledgeable, and her entire team is friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend.

I've walked or driven past this place for years and years but went in for the first time this weekend. Was in search of a tea kettle and found a good choice of styles sizes and very reasonable price points. For comparison cost plus world market had no tea kettles in stock except the ornamental iron faux Japanese type. OXO Bodum and other brands found here. Wandered the crowded aisles and while it was pretty hard to resist picking up some random kitchen items... I Succeeded. next time I have a simple kitchen or diningware need to fill, I'll check this place out.

Oh my goodness this place is AH-MAZING!! I was tasked with outfitting a Food TV show with all sorts of specific plate ware, display pieces, flatware and glassware. Being from San Diego, I had no idea where to go to get inexpensive, nice looking stuff like that. I was so impressed with this place. I explained when we got there what I had to do, and how best to go about it, when I needed 25 of everything! The gentlemen who worked there became my personal shopper and by the end, I had 3 ladies checking me out, 3 guys packing stuff up carefully and loading my car, which was then FULL of stuff and all for under $2000! Wow. I'm SO going back there time and again!

Much more, like glasses, barware, professional cookware, knives, utensils, bubble bowls, candles, doilies, napkin rings, disposable shot glasses and demitasse spoons, greeting cards, chef's pants and cleaning supplies to keep silver gleaming! What else? I parked at a meter on Fairfax where a quarter buys 15-minutes. Another reviewer suggested the public lot near Canter's; duh, I drove right by it. A customer advised not to hesitate on items because the stock turns quickly. "Won't be here when you come back", he said, shaking his head. I left a happy customer for just under $50 and I will be back!

If you just moved into a new house or apartment and the movers broke all your glassware and dishes -- or worse, it just never occurred to you to buy any in the first place -- Bargain Fair comes to your rescue, and at a fair bargain, too! No more paper plates or styrofoam cups for you, sweetheart -- save those for when you're too lazy to wash the dishes or for when you're stuck watching your relatives' children. You know, the ones who love to drop Lennox plates on tile floors? Parking is a bit rough at Bargain Fair -- if you can't find a street meter (.25 cents buys you fifteen minutes, Speedy), you can park at the dedicated lot about two hundred feet away, near Canter's Deli, for two bucks. Don't expect to find the pricier brands of crystal or China that you see in the housewares section of Bloomingdales or Macys here -- after all, it IS called "Bargain Fair" -- but DO expect to find lots of decent quality, mid-priced kitchenware and household items to flesh out your home on an "everyday use" basis. Furthermore, you don't have to buy complete sets of glasses or plates -- most items can be purchased one at a time. -- So if you're just replacing the one wine glass you accidentally broke at that swanky dinner party you attempted to throw last night, you can probably find one that matches closely enough here, and not get stuck having to buy four, or even six at once. Need an economy toaster, tea kettle, coffee maker, or hot plate, too? You can get all those here also -- though honestly, the quality for most of the small appliances at Bargain Fair is mediocre, and priced higher than it should be -- you can do a lot better buying items of equal or better quality (and for less money) at Target, or at the Kmart a block away near The Grove. But for random dishes and bric-a-brac, Bargain Fair is the fairest in the land! Or, at least the fairest within a two block radius in the Fairfax District.

I've been shopping at this store for over 30 years. They have amazing prices, great variety, and excellent service. You can find stuff there that you can't anywhere else. They sell plates, spoons, forks, and glasses by the piece, so you are never forced to buy a whole set. Shopping there is an adventure. The young lady who owns the place is always nice and courteous too. Now that we are all staying home, I have bee cooking a lot more so I've been going back more often than ever.

maybe if you're selling wine glasses, you don't hand them to customers in a small paper bag with the glass hanging out of it. really. how embarrassing. you sell glass cups and plates and you don't have anything to wrap them with? You're lucky I had a towel in my car so I can wrap them around so they don't break on my way home. i'm just baffled at how you can give someone a delicate wine glass IN A SMALL PAPER BAG without securing it. even ROSS does that. you guys should be ashamed.

My son and I popped in today for a last minute thermometer for my mom to use for Thanksgiving (she's not usually in charge of the turkey). I haven't been in in years since I moved away, but was SO happy to have had a reason to come in. Wonderfully stocked, but more importantly the service was fantastic. Not only helpful, and prompt despite being busy, but also personable, including from the owner herself. She's got new customers in the form of our family. Heck, even my pre-teen son exclaimed how impressed he was with the experience!

Love the location, but wish it had parking that made loading out easier. Lots of stuff crammed in narrow aisles. Sometimes they give me a pro discount, sometimes they don't, which is frustrating, but especially in the last few visits, they have been extra helpful trying to get me what I need.

I had a difficult experience here after purchasing a defective pitcher, but the manager reached out to me and dealt professionally with the situation. Although I would have preferred not to have to go through so much trouble to receive good service, I am satisfied that the people in charge mean well and care about their customers. Good selection, great location, passable service.

And everyone who complains about bad service or the "long wait times to check out" is just an impatient, wining, millennial BABY. This place is terribleness at its finest. I come in 10 mins before closing on a Monday & the lady tells me that they're "closed." I then asked what time they close & she says 6:30. It's 6:20!!! She's like, "I already closed the cashier." Lady... You'd freaking open up your cashier for what I would buy from this place... I said I would be really quick & she just yells over me: "WE'RE CLOSED" Rudeness at its finest people. I'm never never coming here again

Are the prices a "bargain" or are they just "fair"? Bargain Fair had a little of both. They stocked a mixture of household consumer and professional kitchen gear, but not particularly large inventory for either. There were some good prices, but better can be found at other discount kitchen supply stores. Despite being on the corner of Fairfax and Beverly, it's easy to overlook because of the drab exterior.

Bargain Fair has a great selection of kitchen supply. My favorites are the elegant and restaurant quality dinnerware. From small dish ( which I love to use a lot ) to the serving plates. Prices are very reasonable. Great customer service. The staff knows the product they sell and are very helpful. PS:I have also purchased my silver ware there way back 2007 and I still have them.

It was my first time at the shop and everyone was so helpful and sweet! All their products are of high quality as well as reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for kitchen utensils.
