Barka Ljubljanica by Lakercraft

What a lovely experience touring the river that cuts through the city with a peaceful boat. Barka Ljubljanica by Lakercraft is actually an electric powered boat, so rather than listening to the "soothing" sounds of an engine running for an hour you can enjoy real silence. The boat offered drinks, but we passed because they need to be purchased. The boat goes south board turns around and heads towards the dam and then back to the starting point. Very peaceful, beautiful views, frankly a must do in this city.

We spent a lovely afternoon cruising the Ljubljana River with a fantastic crew. We had received a voucher for a free drink in the boat from our Free Walking Tour guide and decided to give it a try — such a great recommendation! The lady selling tickets was incredibly friendly and gave us the warmest welcome. After some less-than-great customer service experiences elsewhere in the city, I can honestly say this company sets a wonderful example for others. Thank you to the team for such an enjoyable tour. It was wonderful to enjoy a quiet, electric-powered cruise with no emissions during the ride.

A serene evening on a beautiful, electric-powered boat along the Ljubljanica. A crew consisting of Captain Luka and the entertaining and knowledgeable, I think Clemens - I hope that’s right. This was included in our Ljubljana Card. Worthwhile way to pass away an hour.

We wanted to make sure we went on this boat as it’s the only wooden one on the river. It wasn’t too crowded, had great views, and interesting commentary from the guide. There’s lots of options on the river all at the same price and duration but worth seeking out this company as they really made the experience special for us.

Wonderful experience. Beautiful electric powered pine wood boat making it a quiet and pleasant experience. The captain Irene was wonderful explaining Ljubljana history which was very interesting. All staff and crew were great and it was excellent being able to have a drink on the 50 minute trip. You must try the Larch Liqueur!

We were in the city for 3 days and really wanted to do a boat trip. There were lots of options at the weekend but no so many during the week and we were given unreliable information by some of the other operators. I'm so glad we went for a delightful and peaceful cruise with these guys. The wooden electric boat was very comfortable and quiet; with fleece throws to keep you warm. The Captain gave us an interesting commentary. Highly recommended
