"A Little Bit of Heaven in Western Nebraska"
We have been there four times since 2010. (Need I say more?) We enjoy the peace and quiet out there on the prairie -- just a great place to recharge the batteries. The facilities are excellent, surprisingly well done in an old converted barn (hence the name). With all of the native American artifacts that they have collected, it is actually a museum as well. All of this is aptly placed within eyesight of Scottsbluff National Monument, which encompasses one of the iconic markers of the Oregon Trail -- Mitchell Pass.
Equally excellent are the gracious hosts, Cher and Allan. There are always attentive to every need and request. And breakfast is always a morning treat that provides a great start to do the day ..... whether that be just relaxing on the balcony or in the hammock or another quiet spot on the property, or taking a day trip to one of several interesting historical attractions in the area. Even Cheyenne (one of our favorite cities) is only 90 minutes away.
We have our reservation already made for later this Summer!
