11 of the Most Beautiful Golf Courses in the World
"Set on Tasmania’s rugged northeast coast, this links-style property routs holes in and out of coastal sand dunes following the land’s natural contours; one of several courses on the site, it pairs scenic seaside views with inland variety and windswept, dune-driven strategy." - Patricia Doherty

"This links course is set on the northeast coast of Tasmania, and its holes roll in and out of the coastal sand dunes, following the natural layout of the landscape. Undulating greens, wide fairways, and a large bunker on the fourth hole make it interesting and challenging. Barnbougle features three courses: Lost Farm, Bougle Run, and The Dunes." - Travel + Leisure Editors
"One of Australia‘s best-known attractions, the Barnbougle Dunes is a traditional Links course with a stunning landscape view. Situated along the northeast coast of Tasmania, the game’s highlights include the fourth hole, which features the largest bunker in all of the Southern Hemisphere."
Best golf course I’ve played so far. Very well maintained and awesome facilities. Spend 2 days played The Lost Farm and The dunes both course are spectacular. The Dunes cottage was very cosy and clean. Amazing experience.

What a great experience! This course kicked my butt. The greens rolled out perfectly, the bunkers are deep (very deep), fairways.....not a flat stance to be seen. Blind tee shots on many holes. The views are sensational all over the course. I'll be back!

Wow. Had a near perfect day at The Dunes. Blue sky and little to no wind. A must course when in Tasmania.

The course is “brutal” but worth every penny. Restaurant is all you could want after a round, or if driving through. Burger & Parma were elite - and view is beyond stunning. Must go!

There is a reason this place is ranked in the top 50 courses. Stunning! Challenging. Flowing in and around the dunes you will experience million dollar views and golfing heartache as you try to get your ball to navigate them. Amazing greens, if you can read them and a number of iconic holes that you'll talk about for years.

A great golf destination. Both courses offer a real challenge for every golfer. Choose the most appropriate tee. Don't play the back markers (black/terracotta) if you can't hit the ball a decent way and pretty straight a reasonable amount of time. You won't have a good time. Didn't try the short course. Seemed a bit pricey for 14 holes. Bring lots of balls as you will not likely find stray shots in the knee-high rough (they have a local rule which makes sense). Plenty of fun. Lots of good places to stay in Bridport if on-course is not available (what we did).
