I had lunch here and it was a great airport meal. I had chicken fingers and my wife got the Philly cheesesteak. We both enjoyed the meal, service was quick since there isn’t many people here right now. Images shown of the prices & food, it is quite pricey but no surprise because it’s an airport. The chicken fingers already come with fries so there was no charge with that. Do recommend coming here for lunch, they have variety of food and good service.

If I could give the food a negative rating, I would. It took over 15 minutes just to get served, and when my $22 margarita finally arrived, it tasted more like limeade than a proper cocktail. The chips and salsa were $17—which would be steep even if they hadn’t been stale, burnt, and barely enough to cover the plate. I understand there’s an automatic 18% service fee added for “convenience,” but that doesn’t justify the poor quality or value. The servers themselves were kind and professional, and I genuinely feel for them having to represent a company that clearly prioritizes profit over guest experience. Total bill was $60. Save your money and take the extra few steps to a place that actually delivers on quality and hospitality. And take note that I’m reviewing an airport restaurant…….more than not worth my time.

For an airport stop, it kind of is what it is. The service was quite slow, but only because it was pretty understaffed - the server/bartender was really nice and we felt bad seeing how much he was having to run around to take care of everything. The food was actually pretty okay for an airport, but wildly expensive ($10 for a side of fries?!). I ordered a veggie quesadilla but was accidentally given - and charged $5 more for - chicken. Automatic 18% gratuity though it didn't specify if that's recieved by the waitstaff or not. I'd rather just be able to directly tip. The ambiance isn't terrible so if you have a lot of time it might be a chill stop.

Stopped for breakfast while waiting for my flight. I had eggs and bacon. For $21, it was not worth it. Basic hash brown, 2 tiny pieces of bacon, one piece of toast and over cooked eggs. They also add a 18% tip. There are better options for breakfast. Staff were friendly but not enough as many tables needed to be cleaned but no one to do it.

Google
Ordered a Barney’s burger. 17.50 was delish!!!! Plus a cider 10.50. I’d say the beer is over priced but if you need a cold one they are the place to go to! Super nice vibe. Servers are super busy. While I was here eating there was only one attending everyone and did a great job.

Great atmosphere. They found the Kentucky derby for us! Food was just okay. Fries were not hot.

Google
Like most airport food, this spot looked better than it tasted. When I first arrived, I wasn’t particularly focused on grabbing a meal—I was really just searching for a quiet place to sit down and charge my phone. However, as I looked around and saw what others were ordering, the dishes looked pretty appetizing, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the visual appeal. The fries, for example, were not seasoned nearly as much as I would have liked, leaving them bland and forgettable. The rest of the meal was decent but nothing special—just your typical airport fare that’s more about convenience than quality. It wasn’t awful, but definitely not something I’d recommend or go out of my way to try again. The atmosphere was fairly busy, which I expected for an airport restaurant, and the service was decent. The waiter was polite and attentive, but there was nothing particularly memorable or outstanding about the experience. All in all, it was one of those meals you have just because you're there, but not one I’d care to repeat. It wasn’t terrible, but for the time and effort I put into sitting down and ordering, it didn’t feel worth it. In the future, I think I’d stick to grabbing a quick snack instead. If you're just looking for a place to rest and recharge like I was, it’s fine, but don’t expect much in terms of flavor.

Google
Updated menu prices as of October 2024. I don’t expect much from airport food but definitely for something that was maybe $20+ each dish, I was expecting more than what I was given. I ordered the chili cheese fries and tres enchiladas with beef. Tastes are subjective but truly I could not get more than half of one of my tres enchiladas before just picking out the protein of it. The chili cheese fries were fine but it felt like there was maybe 4 heaping tablespoons of chili amongst the entire set of fries. Service was fine and good. I got my water within 5 minutes of seating and she followed up with refills. For a total two dish meal price including gratuity of around $50+, just Uber eats yourself something.

Yelp
I ate here on Sept 26, 2024 because I had a 6 hour Delta layover and I was so hungry. This Barney's had a chilli that was $13.85, about the cheapest menu item, other than French fries for $10 . The chilli serving size was 1 cup in a small bowl but came with a disproportionate pile of chips which I dipped into the small Corning bowl Cheese or chopped onions cos extra. I did not ask. The chilli was unremarkable, Not chunky, and taste like it was made out of liver. The service was awful. I self seated myself with a menu at a table cos not one was around, and saw other people being seated and water glasses brought to them. After a long wait and no acknowledgement, I had to tell Antoinette that I am ready to order. She did ask what I wanted to drink, but after the chili was brought and I ate half, I guess she forget to bring me water and I had to ask for my water and napkins. Here I was thinking of not leaving a tip , when she brought back my credit card with a mandatory 18% tip which is usually reserved for tables of 6 or more, already debited from my catd. But I was the only person eating, and most of the tables were vacant I never had a tip for one person forced on me ever in ny 73 years existence and age as solo diner. For the mandatory 18% tip, I rate this Beanery 1 star. I even wrote on the charge receipt that I wasn't gonna leave a tip, because the service was poor. So here is my 1 star.

Yelp
Airport food options are limited. I came here for breakfast before my flight. Sat at the bar ad service at the tables were slow and they didn't help me after sitting there for 10 mins. The bartender was great, got my refills quickly and the food was tasty. Very large portion and I was happy I ate here.

Yelp
We tried this restaurant because we've actually dined at a Barney's in Pasadena . Food was ok. Not the best. We ordered cheese sticks, chicken strips and beer. Would I dine here again? Probably not. It was very oily and it taste like Tyson nuggets . Server was nice!

Joel K.

Yelp
At LAX looking for beer and dinner.. Idk what a "Beanery" is, more than likely a coffee place.. Idk.. There's a decent bar but no menu at the hostess station.. Idk what they sell or serve. Dumb name if you're not a coffee place. Not going to waste my time finding out.. Your loss..

Yelp
How sad, that Barney's legacy, or lack thereof?, has become a sort of pathetic excuse for an airport bar! It's not that hard, is it? It's pretty much a golden opportunity to make money- what if you made good food and treated everyone nicely? I can't speak to everything on the menu but perhaps the 20$ with fries, chicken tender(4) appetizer platter is micro to the macro; as such it was really basic, cold, and tasteless. Like reheated(poorly) box store frozen fries and tenders. Talked to staff members jovially but there seemed to be some sense of stress/ despair! Management issues? And no waters, no re:up on the drinks even 15 min after finishing my beer...sorry will avoid in future
google avatar

Yelp
First off you can lower the price of your pie and ice cream. I could've went to the grocery store and purchased 7 1/2 gallon containers of ice cream for what it just cost me for two slices of apple pie with ice cream. Just look at how small the servings were! That's nothing to be proud off by ripping off the traveling public at the LAX airport. You should be ashamed of yourself. You are probably getting 500% profit from us. I know they raised the minimum wage for the employees, but come on. Buyers beware!!!!

Yelp
Convenient spot near the gates that still had some open seating on a Monday evening. Large seating area with TVs all around displaying the current sports being played. Menu is as expected - overpriced but with a variety of options. Decided on the Sourdough Turkey ($18), a basic turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich served alongside crinkle cut fries. Okay sandwich overall, meat is lackluster but the bread and fries are decent. Also tried some of the Veggie Burrito ($14), which is extremely bland and came with absolutely nothing. Service was okay - servers were busy, so we didn't get the hot sauce that was asked for. There might be better options in the airport.

Yelp
This is my third time here ... more so due to lack of options at this and the other terminals. When we got here there were customers at a few tables. Every table was packed by the time we left ... as I watched the sole waitress/bus person/food server deftly handle the surging swarm. Judith gets five stars. I upped the mandatory 18% tip to 20%. We both got the California Omelettes. Really good - kind of a hash with a hald avocado on top. Highly recommend. $17.70. It is an airport. Coffee okay. I make better at home. Not worth standing in the long line at Starbucks for slightly better. A good diner coffee. great decor - tables, old taps and a motorcycle hanging on the wall. I will be back.

Yelp
We stopped here for breakfast while waiting to board a flight. I like the set up of the restaurant. There is a bar with TVs and table seating. Our waitress was great. She was kind and offered menu suggestions. Our breakfast entrees included scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and a pancake. The pancake was my favorite part of the meal. The pancake had a vanilla flavor that paired nicely with the syrup. I highly recommend the pancakes here!
google avatar

Paulina G.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast since my layover was long and it was breakfast time. It took about 10 minutes to get service. I ordered the pancake platter for $18 dollars and asked if I could add some hashbrowns to my order, to which she said yes and abruptly left. The food came pretty fast except for the hashbrowns I never received. The plate came with 2 eggs and 4 slices of bacon and two pancakes. Pretty expensive for only 2 pancakes. The bacon wasn't that good, eggs tasted like eggs and the pancakes were pretty good. She came back with a bill that came automatically tagged with 18% gratuity! That pissed me off because not only was I a party of one, she literally forgot my hashbrowns and never came back to ask me if everything was ok, NOT ONCE. They also taxed me on the gratuity which I'm pretty sure is illegal.

Yelp
So in a terminal where there isn't really many choices I'm like totally not sure why this place is soo low on the ratings level. On one given flying day I stoped here because I had time to waste and needed sustenance for the long flight back home and what better place to enjoy than a chill table service restaurant as that's exactly what I found here! Of the options I just went with the Barney's Burger with Onion Rings as my side and I must say the burger was good wasn't amazing but definitely good for an airport restaurant as it had a good taste to it and just hit the spot before the flight along with the onion rings just good and much better when I added one of them to my burger making for some extra crunch that you just can't go wrong with! My service was also very good my server was friendly and just chill making for a good experience all around! Overall if your in this terminal there's not alot of choices so keep that in mind either way it was definitely one of the better choices coming here as my food was good and the service was awesome!

Yelp
April 23, 2024 - It is 515AM and with a 2 hour layover it is breakfast time. Got lucky as this was both open and it is across from gate 21B. Service was quick and the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. They serve coke products, have a full bar, and automatically add 18% convenience fee.
google avatar

Jewelia C.

Yelp
Decent airport stop for food and beer. My flight got delayed so I dropped by and ordered the Barney's Burger and a Stella. Burger was good and came with crinkle cut fries. It was yummy and a decent portion. There were A LOT of pickles on the burger which I loved but if you're not a pickle fan - definitely ask for no pickles! Service was great. Nothing crazy special about it but lots of seating, big tv to watch sports at the bar if you're into that, and definitely pretty decent for airport options!
google avatar

Jordan N.

Yelp
Good food. Reasonable prices. Good atmosphere. Several convenient locations. Open late
google avatar

Erica W.

Yelp
Menu isn't that exciting but I ordered hot wings while waiting on my flight and the flavor was good. But there was way too much breading. I barely had actual chicken on the wings lol. But service was good and attentive. May be a better place just to grab a drink.
google avatar

Lee A.

Yelp
Delta left me on a huge delay, so I started looking for dinner. I popped in to Barney's Beanery for a burger. The service was great and the staff was super nice. My Barney's Burger was cooked perfectly and juicy. It was layered in flavors and I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of my meal at the airport! I give 2 thumbs up for Barney's. As for Delta... not so much...
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
This place is the spot to sip on some drinks and watch any sports games that may be on while you wait for your flight. There are a lot of tables and chairs so my girlfriend and I were seated fairly quickly. The downside is that they are VERY close to each other so it's like you're on a date with whoever is seated next to you. Cleanliness wasn't the best either. Even though there was only two staff members taking care of the seating AND serving, they were able to stay attentive/friendly for the most part. I'd recommend to keep it simple and just order the beers they have. The mixed drinks as well as the food were mid. Nothing extraordinary. Simply a good place to pass time, meet people and relax while you're at the airport.

Rick T.

Yelp
Terrible service!! I guess when they add %18 gratuity to your bill they don't have to try!! Kathy P was the worst!!
google avatar

Amy P.

Yelp
This is a fine little stop along your way at the airport. We had pretty bad service the day we went but I totally understand why and the servers are doing their best. That being said the food was fine, not great. It's all very basic but it was food and did the job. I'd probably still stop in again but it wasn't incredible.
google avatar

Tyler C.

Yelp
Mediocre with hints of high quality. Post security terminal food and bar. Went for breakfast. Coffee cups with half size with really good coffee. Pancakes were excellent! Bacon rocked. The English muffin sandwich had cold Cheese and Bacon that wasn't so good. Service was slow with automatic 18% tip added for all. Parts of the restaurant had privacy, other parts did not. For an airport space there is potential for a good experience.

Frodo B.

Yelp
Food is meh, even for an airport restaurant Service is meh Value is horrible $7 for a taco :)
google avatar

Sandra O.

Yelp
Awful service, terrible coffee, overpriced, and a complete insult to anyone who works hard for their money. Keep walking

Beth W.

Yelp
Melissa was so kind. They were about to close the kitchen and the restaurant was pretty quiet. She ran back and asked the chef to let me order. Will highly recommend for the customer service and Melissa and a exceptional
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
Place kinda sucks, sat for 15 mins before getting a server and then they weren't able to make any kind of tweaks to my order, add things. Wouldn't recommend. Also they add 18% tip so makes sense why the staff has no incentive to be friendly or work hard

Your M.

Yelp
Amazing historic place that is now managed by garbage people. I went to eat with my wife, and she went to order the food. When she returned, she mentioned that the waitress wasn't very nice (which she never says). The waitress brought the food without saying a word, and I asked for ranch and water. Thirty minutes later, still no ranch or water, so I went inside and found her on her phone. I approached the bar, and another unpleasant latina rudely told me I had to ask the waitress. I explained that I had asked over 30 minutes ago. We never received the ranch or water, but we had to pay and tip first. Tip first and then get such disgusting service from two rude trashy staff member. I would've written a huge zeron on the tip section. I've eaten there many times and always had a great experience until these two latinas. My family, friends, and I will never return unless those two are fired.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Over priced bs airport food. It's always a rip off. $15-$20 burgers, chewy ass onion rings, $10 bud lite draughts. Yes I was hungry, yes I knew I was going to be ripped off, yes I sat down and ordered anyways .
google avatar

Erica R.

Yelp
I had the three eggs meal and it was pretty good. Not sure how you can go wrong with eggs, toast, and bacon. My daughter had the muffin sandwich...it looked thrown together but she said it was good. The service was fantastic! Friendly and very tentative. If your in need to sit down and have a bite while at terminal 3....this is your place.
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
Miguel was a sick bartender. Fast service. Thoughtful conversation. Great haircut. Will be coming back.
google avatar

Nathan B.

Yelp
If you're looking for breakfast, skip over this place. I cannot comment on their lunch/dinner menu, but their breakfast is horrible. Food tasted like old grease with white bread and deep fryer hash browns. Save your money and go to a fast food breakfast place, or just pick up a bag of chips at one of the convenience stores here. The quality will be the same.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Prices are steep because of the location, but service was fast and friendly. Food was pretty decent too. One of the better chowders from a chain restaurant. Salad was very basic and wings were also pretty good for chain. I think the service was what pushed it up to four stars for me on this trip. Can put up with a lot of the server is trying and she was busting her butt today.
google avatar

Paul G.

Yelp
Great little bar and eatery right outside the gate if you're lucky. I've been assigned the gate right outside twice already, and it's always nice to have an awesome restaurant to hang out at. Service was great and fast.
google avatar

Leonard M.

Yelp
Service is good, full bar, and pretty clean given the airport traffic but - seriously, look at this chopped salad... for starters the lettuce isn't even chopped. Take a guess on price .... NEARLY $20!!! WTH? Don't eat here, have a drink, then move on to Jersey Mikes further in the terminal...ugh, rip-off....
google avatar

Cliffanie E.

Yelp
Happy the pandemic is over . The service is so nice . Food is so good. I appreciate the hospitality drink and food.
google avatar

Yelp
The review is based on one specific employee (skinny black guy at the bar). I came in for a beer and to watch Sunday football before my flight. I tried to ask one of the bartenders if he can change the channel but he ignored me the first time. No problem. I tried getting his attention the 2nd time and he says "the next guy will help you, I'm about to be off"- I then replied "wow ok" and he tried to stare me down and almost wanted to fight. Who does that? I paid my check and then left without finishing my beer or food. Never again. The food is also overpriced. Not worth the experience. And they didn't even have the games on. Theres a whole process for changing channels apparently.
google avatar

Yelp
DO NOT EAT HERE BEFORE YOU GET ON A PLANE! I had the great misfortune of eating a turkey sandwich at this location prior to my red eye to Boston. When the sandwich came I took off the top piece of bread to find a round piece of cheap turkey cold cut like you buy at the market. It looked slightly off and I should have listened to my instincts and walked out. What followed was me on a flight plagued with severe food poisoning. I used the barf bag for the first time in my life at around 3am after suffering an almost paralyzing feeling. It's been almost a week since that flight and my body is still not right. In addition the service was horrible. I sat at the bar and the bar tender was absent most of the time or indifferent when he was around. He left the bar for 10 minutes when I wanted to pay and I almost missed my flight. In retrospect, I wish I had missed my flight. 18% gratuity is added to each bill automatically so your forced to tip for poor service.
google avatar

Ace D.

Yelp
We were in a rush to eat and have a beer prior to our flight. We waited about 10 minutes for them to seat us and once we sat down Inez took over. She quickly took our order and went above and beyond to serve us quality food and drinks with such quickness. She was such a pleasure and we will definitely be stopping here again next time we are in the same terminal.
google avatar

D B.

Yelp
Quick Review: +My burger came out better than expected. +Fries were decent -Service from the lady on my side of the bar was trash. Just kept talking to one person and ignoring everyone else. -Automatic 18% gratuity. No wonder that .... didn't bother providing service. -Wouldn't put MNF on the main TV. Left it on some local sports channel showing nothing.
google avatar

Mari T.

Yelp
No idea why this place is called a beanery but it's good! We got the veggie enchiladas (sauce was soo good!) and added rice and beans for $3. Got the chili cheese fries since the table next to us got it and it smelled so good! Didn't disappoint and I ate the whole thing! He got the avocado melt on marble rye and ate it all! Large draft beer selection and full bar. Right next to our gate helped so we could watch as our flight got delayed...twice!
google avatar

Henry P.

Yelp
Ok so I was super happy that they were open. No seating in the restaurant but everything is takeout even alcohol beverages. You have to order some type of food to order an alcoholic beverage. The bartender was very nice and had a great personality. The price is on the higher side but have to expect that when your at the airport. There was only two restaurants and this was the only one serving alcoholic beverages in terminal 2. Appreciated what they are doing to have a sense of slight normalcy.oh yeah the ultimate burger with fries was killa (awesome)
google avatar

Kelsy P.

Yelp
Honestly, you're better off getting a pre made sandwich and a bag of m&ms from US News.. Simply put, it's just overpriced airport food. Had the shrimp burrito and mom had cheese quesadilla. And everything was just eh. I know sometimes it's nice to sit down and have drink and hot meal while you wait for your flight but I say keep walkin.

Yelp
OK food but customer service needs improvement! I was at LAX terminal 2 looking for a nice lunch place and decided to give this place a try. The menu looked decent with good offering of breakfast and lunch food. The hostess was very quick to get me a table and there were 5 existing customers waiting for service. For the next 20 minutes, no one came to any of the tables to take any drink or food orders. A fellow customer that appeared to be in a hurry walked to the hostess to ask for help and it took another 5 minutes before a waitress came. When my waitress arrived, she only took my order and the table next to me and ignored other customers waiting for service. I ordered the shrimp tacos and my dish came fairly quickly. The serving portion was quite good with generous serving of shrimp and vegetables. The food tasted decent for an airport eatery. My entrée came to about $18 (2 tacos). Overall, I thought the food quality was OK but the customer service needs improvement. Customers are often in a hurry at airport terminal and the restaurant needs a manager to handle staff work flow.
google avatar

Quin B.

Yelp
Average bar at the average terminal 2 at the overcrowded LAX airport No real complaints. I don't know if they gave me two shots or what but one mai tai from them and I was passed out on the plane back. I would frequent again if ever back in lax terminal 2

Tyler S.

Yelp
Idk what's with all of the one star reviews this place is great. Went multiple times over the weekend to catch the games and have a few beers. Shout out to the hostess from Wisconsin. Nice gal
google avatar

Lauren F.

Yelp
I had 40 minutes before my flight was supposed to board (not take off) and the woman at the podium was super helpful in helping me to determine whether I had time to have breakfast. She said that most things take 15 minutes so I could order efficiently and it should be fine. I appreciated that the server got my order quickly. They only have breakfast items before noon and then they switch over to lunch. I had the California omelette and it was fine. I like avocado so that was a nice touch. When I asked for the check, I told her that I was using Priority Pass, which covers up to $28. Between the omelette and the orange juice (large), $28 was a fair amount to cover my check. They needed a separate thing to swipe the Priority Pass but the process was smooth and I have no complaints. Having this option is convenient for food when the lounge is closed.
google avatar

Jingyan Y.

Yelp
Eh... I came here for priority pass and wasn't extremely impressed. I got a voucher for $28 with the pass, which basically covered a cocktail and one taco. That's probably why they don't put the prices on the drink menu...suspicious. The drink was strong and the taco was yummy though. Super busy and there was a line for seating, but wait staff was incredibly nice which is why I bumped them to 3 stars!

Janette G.

Yelp
Came to eat here during my 3 hour layover. The food was a bit pricey as expected, but the hostess, Melissa, was so kind and professional that I would come back because of her customer service.

Yelp
Our dining experience left my husband and me feeling as if we should be paid/ compensated. A full hour of waiting (20 mins for first sign of service. 40 mins for first dish) with adjacent tables all fed, paid, and left. I thought airport restaurant's service would be efficient. Don't most people have a flight to catch? What made us even angrier was that our server actually wrote the tip in on the receipt. 18% for not serving us? I saw her refilled every condiment unit in the entire restaurant before she brought us our first glass of water. No.
