Great store with a super frendly staff. I got a Glock 43 at a better price then any where else on the North or South Shore. They have a good selection of duty gear. Even though I live on the Northshore, I purchase much of my gear there.

The employees there were friendly and very helpful assisting me with my purchase. They made buying my off duty pistol a breeze. I will be using Barney’s for all my firearms needs.

Need to update your website. This store has relocated to the Elmwood shopping area. The new address is 800 South Clearview Parkway suite C Harahan, LA 70123. Our phone numbers are still the same that you can contact us anytime Monday through Friday, 9 to 5. We're located in the same parking lot as the Academy, but we are closer to the street of Clearview in between the grand buffet and the AutoZone.

Pssst. Hey man, are you a cop? Don't you like have to tell me if you are? Barney's may have "police supplies" in their name, but don't let that scare you off. Sure they sell enough lights to turn an 87 Crown Vic into the Battleship Galactica. Sure they sell hoses you attach to your AC to shove down your shirt. But wait! There's more! For those of us who aren't cops, there is a whole lot to see. Guns - Barney's is a Block stocking dealer. Don't know what a Clock is? Move on please. I am not really into guns, but if I were, I would probably have bought like five from them. Flashlights - Call me a nerd, but I like flashlights. Flashlight technology has come such a long way in the last five years. I bought a small light that takes two lithium batteries and will literally light up half a block. It is awesome. Holsters - If you are a gun toting yahoo, or even one of those open carry nut jobs, they have a holster for you. Again, if I wasn't scared of guns, I would have bought like five or ten from them. Clothes - Want to look tacticool? They got your hook up. Pepper spray - Hey ladies? Yeah? You know you bad? Yeah. Oh wait. Sorry, I just started singing Travis Scott. Ladies, and men who wan't some pepper spray for your purse or European man bag? They've got you covered. Barney's has a lot more stuff than I have listed. If you're like me and not a cop, but like cool stuff, you should check Barney's out.

Barneys Police Supplies in Metairie is actually part of a small regional chain of stores in Louisiana and Mississippi. As the name implies, they cater to law enforcement officers (LEO's) ; however, any Joe Blow can walk in to browse. They carry all your typical LEO equipment such as boots, flashlights, clothes, holsters, ammunition and of course, firearms. You can shop for Sig Sauers, Berettas, Rugers, Kimbers and Walthers. But Barneys is known for selling Glocks and they sell more Glocks than anything else. In fact, their website states that "Barney's Police Supplies is one of the top 10 Glock dealers in Law Enforcement in the US". And in my opinion, no one is going to beat their prices on Glocks. This location is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 - 5:00, but don't let the lack of weekend hours dissuade you from coming here. Because what you get at Barney's is personalized service that is rare for a regional chain of stores. On top of that, you get professional assistance from people that know their craft. And their demeanor is very down to Earth and puts you at ease, especially if you are a layman and not in the LEO community. My initial contact with Barneys was made telephonically with Katie, who was patient, informative and professional. However, she had that certain charm and friendliness that drew me to the store, as I could immediately tell that this place was totally customer oriented. Upon my arrival at the store both she and store manager Melody Kennedy assisted me, and I could not have left a happier customer. I could have gone anywhere to make my purchase, and I did do some shopping around beforehand. However, I purposely saved Barneys for last as I heard that they were the best. Now that this "fact" has been confirmed, I'll never shop anywhere else.

Good tactical store. Not much available as far as guns go but tons of tactical equipment available. Staff is friendly and helpful. FFL services available.

The husband and I visited this location to cash in a gift card we won in a raffle for a cool rifle. It turns out the store didn't have the gun in stock. Not terribly surprising, but the trouble it was for them to even research the weapon and find one for us to order was truly remarkable. We never did get an answer as to if or when we could order the weapon. While we waited, we had a chance to browse the store and were, honestly, a bit overwhelmed by all the "cop stuff". There was a wide array of supplies from LEO specific gear to the "layman's" gear such as holsters and gun accessories. The stock was good, and the weapons available were good, but we were just somewhat disappointed in the service. We may give the place another chance if we are back in town, and we will try to take advantage of their online services, but I was disappointed during our first visit.

This is mainly a law enforcement supply store but they have many items that anybody could find useful. They have a large selection and this is actually a branch of a small national chain that has locations across several states so you can also check out their website. The location is a bit out of the way on the I-10 Service Road and they only open 9am-5pm and closed on the weekend so you might want to call ahead to see if they have what you're looking for.

Owner is great. Very good at helping you get exactly what your looking for and what you need. Everything from backpacks to weapons to lights and more. This store has it all.

The store owner who helped me went out of her way to find something I needed. She also suggested some add ons as well and took her time to shoe me how to use what I bought. Everyone was friendly and they had exactly what I was looking for. Highly reccomended. Stores like this can sometimes be intimidating when you walk in but here I was made to feel welcome and helped as soon as I arrived.
