Grabbed myself some pickup from Barnstormers the other week. Friendly service from start to finish. Helpful phone call and very happy, chatty pickup. It's always SO much nicer when employees are actually happy. The fish tacos amazing, and they've got some damn good fries. I know, they're just fries, but you can really mess those up and I've had some doozies from other restaurants. Love the atmosphere of this restaurant, and the menu is fantastic. NOTE: They have NON alcoholic beer on tap, for those eating in. Always great to know!

Im a little dissapointed that they didn't have any of their brewed beer on tap or in the fridges. Although many beers were from Ontario, it would have been nice to taste their own brewed beer again. Food was good, I got the nashville chicken sandwich, it was delicious, I would eat it again!

Amazing food and great service! Ate the wings and pizza so fast forgot to take a before picture. The pizza was so good! I have never seen so many toppings they were practically falling off. The server was very friendly and funny. We will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I come here for the tossed chicken fingers… my girls and I come here for the server and bartender named Amanda! She is one of a kind, she’s the reason for our consistent return, she knows us all by name, she is a joy, always so happy and to see happy people doing their jobs these days is rare! We truly value our lunch dates here!! Food is great, drinks are awesome and service from Amanda is a 10/10!!!

We are visiting from Calgary and thought we would pop in for a lunch. Our server Amanda was wonderful. Had the Caprese sandwich and the beef dip. Very good. I am a lager guy so we tried the 10 point lager and the dark lager, also very good. Pop in if you are in the area. And Amanda, next time you are in Calgary, our local pub is Peanuts Pub at the Carriage House Inn!!

From the moment we walked into Barn Stormers, we were greeted with the kind of warm hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. The uniquely themed modern Canadian style pub boasts hearty delicious comfort food favourites. Not the largest menu you have seen but every item on it is done expertly. The Enchiladas were tasty and fun. Chilli cheese fries are a must try. The Nashville chicken sandwich kicks with spice but has room for heat. The overall experience value here is good. I would recommend everyone to give it a try.

Barnstormer has a great feel inside blending classic planes and wonderful craft beer. I visited for lunch on a Monday and there were some people there inside and the service was good. My server was quick, attentive and friendly. There's also some outdoor seating, but it's not a huge area. I would've said outside but the weather wasn't very nice. Inside, there is lots of seating. It's got a great cozy feel and there are lots of airplane posters on the wall. There was a huge selection of beer from Barnstormer, but they had beer on tap from other craft breweries, which I think is great that they maintain relationships with other brewers. I thought the First Class Lager and Mirror Pass IPA were great choices. For food, I kept it simple and had a burger and fries. The burger was fresh and not dry and there were more fries than I expected. I found that a nice touch. I would certainly visit again if in the Barrie area.

Good beer, great food. Would say the vibes were weird but we didn't eat lunch until nearly 3pm so of course no one else was there ha! Wings were outstanding!

Yummy food, nice staff, shaded outdoor seating. The salad was good and the bacon fries were incredible, wish I got a pic. I got a mocktail which I enjoyed but cannot recall which one.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a great casual spot for pizza and beer. The pizza had generous toppings. Service was very friendly and attentive as well.

Amazing food and service! Been many times and always have such great servers! Always good recommendations on the menu also! The restaurant is really cool inside lots to look at also. Great atmosphere!!

Showed up after a tough day and losing my dog. I wanted to take my frustration out on food. Came to a solid place. The craft beer was delicious, had an IPA. Ordered the Nashville hot sandwich, it was a big sammich, a little lob sided And to further drench my sorrow, the brisket poutine. The misses had the same sammy sand chose to go with the Asiago fries. The sammich was great, the house hot sauce was delicious. The suicide sauce was missing a bit of a spice but was hot and tasty. Now the Asiago fries were good, but the poutine needed some work - the gravy was too thick and not hot enough. The brisket was an ok amount but it was more or less crispy. With a hotter and thinner gravy the cheese would have melted better, and the brisket would have likely been much more tender. Had the brisket poutine been better crafted this would have been a 4/5 meal. Service was good, no discount on the bill. When you charge 12 bucks for a side poutine, it should be good to great.

Just stopped in to pick up some beer on a recommendation. There was a good sized patio with decent amount of shade for these hot days. I was not able to try the food but will be back for sure. I did pick up a selection of beers. I would have to say the highlight was the Watermelon Lager. It was so good. A cool crisp and refreshing beer that went down all too well. Their Pilsner was a hot as well. I will be back as the fish taco looked amazing.

This place has great live bands and decent pub grub. The service is top notch and they are very accommodating. I am not a craft beer fan so it's not great for me but if you like it then you will be pleased as my friends who like craft beer love it.

The Dillicious pizza and the jalapeño honey fries here are so delicious! I always recommend them.

Excellent beer options , my fav was watermelon beer . Appetizers were amazing specially the German pretzel freshly baked !

For sure Loved their little samples of beers tried our choice of samples of different varieties of beer Loved the watermelon brew in this hot summer The restaurant has an in- flight interior very interesting and fun look The server took time to explain the entire menu and the beers So each beer on the menu has The alcohol level the bitterness level and the strength and colour displayed Super Awesome!! With the beer ordered Tri motor dips with flat breads which was a combination of 3 dips and freshly baked flatbread The goat cheese and artichoke hearts dip were excellent the hummus was average but the friendly service and the experience more than made up for it On a day with 31 degrees C wow the beer was to die for Towards the end orderd a German pretzel with cheese and beer sauce The pretzel was freshly baked and hot out of the oven with a some excellent beer and cheese sauce The hot freshly made pretzel with some kosher salt sprinkled on top was the best we've had A trip to Barrie is not complete without visiting this super awesome restaurant I'm definitely going there again maybe next month again

Gord and I had lunch today at Barnstormer Brewing Co. ... Gord loves craft beer and it's one of the reasons we spent two days in Barrie. They have a shop where you can buy beer to take home (Gord did) and swag. They brew their own beer onsite. Gord started with a Windshear Watermelon and had two other styles ... I stuck with pop as I was driving home. Gord ordered Cap'n Mac n' Cheese. He said it was delicious and he would get it again. He said having the salad was a nice accompaniment because it was so refreshing. I had a pizza with pepperoni and bacon. It was really good. I ate half and took the other half home (for lunch tomorrow). The dough was made with spent grain. They strain the barley they have added to make their beer. They give most away to feed local cattle but they keep some to add in their pizza dough. Missy and Sarah were our servers. They were really nice and friendly. We'll be back!

This review is for the beer 'store' part of the location. We did not eat in the restaurant. We stopped by to pick up beer. We waited quite a while (5 to 7 minutes) for anyone to notice we were waiting. I was a bit frustrated. There was not a wait staff person in site to even hale down. Once service arrived it was great. We enjoyed the beer we bought. Would I recommend: Likely, the beer was worth the wait. Would I return: Yes - it's possible it was just an off night, or they had an impromptu meeting on some issue with staff for 5 minutes. Also - we would like to return to try the food next time we are in town.

Been coming here for 2 years now, the food and people are always great! My husband likes the locally brewed beers. His favourite is the 400 Blonde Ale.

Craft Beers brewed locally! If you in Barrie area or on your way to Cottage or skiing, make this a pit stop. Pick up some bottles and growler to go! Beer samples are $9 for a flights 4 of 5oz each. And of course food to go with your beer! Love the aviation theme.

"Welcome.... to a New Class of Beer" I'll say! The point to Barrielicious is to enjoy what the establishment has to offer in the way of their best; showcasing what they are all about. The picture below is one of their APPETIZER options :) 4 ~ 6oz samples of any draft. YUM! All their beers are full flavoured and or hoppy. If you're a light beer drinker this may be a struggle for you. The lightest beer they carry is a Blonde. Nonetheless, there is excitement in challenging your pallet and discovering a new love for beer. What compliments a great beer? Why pizza of course! I devoured their "Flight Instructor" Lots of spicy chorizo, caramelized onions and cheese. It was delicious! Being a dessert lover I was tormented.....do I want a homemade butter tart cake or a Pint???!!!! No brainer.....Pint Please! lol. It's a cozy pub, with lax but knowledgable service. I'll definitely be back :)

We went there on a weeknight, the service was mediocre, and the food took quite a while to arrive. My pizza tasted bland as if it was reheated from frozen, and my husband said his burger was also fairly tasteless. Little to no ambiance, except for the complaints of the two waitresses standing by the bar about the other patrons in the restaurant and fellow staff members. This was our 'second chance' meal at Barnstormer Brewing and we won't return for a third attempt

This is a MUST for anyone travelling to or through Barrie. We were attracted by the extensive local craft brew menu and the idea of some Fancy pizza to go with it. The location is not brilliant in a bit of a strip plaza but they've done a nice job of creating an outdoor seating area that is charming and quiet... although t wasn't on the night we were there... We had a small high table for two back by the bar and Pollux took amazing care of us. He was charming and gave PERFECT recommendations on cider for me and beer for my husband. We started with the mussels and the crab cakes - always a tough one to get right and easy to screw up - And we were very pleased with both. Generous portions on the mussels and REAL crab in the crab cakes with a beautiful spicy sauce and side-salad. Our only complaint is that our pizza took a while to come out BUT it was only because of a large party of 17 that includes the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau who was In town and passing through!! So seemed like a reasonable excuse We has the Cat III chicken pizza and the hot sauce with it was to die for. The night continued to get better and better as we sampled more amazing local beer - highly recommend the Hard Landing for those with a taste for IPA - and our PM Justin socialized with all the patrons. He and the restaurant and staff were all both charming and down to earth. As our last night before picking up our kids from summer camp it is hard to imagine it getting any better. We will DEFINITELY be back!!

We love it here. Food is awesome, drinks are great, really reasonable prices AND we really like Brian who is so knowledgeable and inviting. Have and will go back for all those reasons and more. thanks!!

Stef was our server and was terrific! While not a craft beer guy, the array of options were amazing. The pizza was solid.

Came here with friends after a couple hours of painting and was pleasantly surprised. Service was quick and friendly, and they were super considerate of the fact that we were on a tight schedule. Tried the watermelon beer which is a nice summer beer with a watermelon finish and no overly sweet taste. The lagers are relatively unmemorable according to my friend. The pizzas are what people come for (apparently), and they look like nice thick crusted pizzas. I tried the fried chicken (which was good, though a little over fried and overly battered/covered), and my friend had the fish n' chips (which was good, but way over battered and a little over-fried/dry). The fries were good, but a little overdone (which I much prefer to underdone, but is not for everyone). They have a bottle shop next door, so you can pick up their craft brews to go! We grabbed a few watermelon cans to go (because where else can you find fruity beer that isn't sweet? :O)

Great atmosphere and good food. The pizza is huge and good quality cheese. Fries crispy and tasty.

Oh my, loved it here! The beer was amazing! Such good flavours without being too weird. I had the chicken sandwich and it was a wee bit spicy but delicious. Friends had the fish and burger and both looked amazing as well. The staff was quick and attentive and accommodated our group of 5 during a busy time.

Wow! Stopped here on the way home from camping and got take out & beer to go. The service was friendly, and the food was all sooo good. 10/10, would definitely come back here!

Not too shabby of a place! I liked their merch hanging in the front entrance. I came here on a late Friday afternoon for some after work bevys. It was pretty smokey inside but it didn't bother me. The food looked and smelled great. I partook in a flight of 4 brews which I enjoyed thoroughly. I wish the watermelon beer wasn't sold out. I'll have to come back another day this summer to see what else is on tap. TIP: Make a resso or arrive early. It was jammed!

Took my granddaughter there Sept 2022. My cheese dip was burnt, her fries were to spicy and the gravy was watery, and tasted like beer not gravy. Left 90% of the food on the plate. Don't waste your time or money!

Awesome food and lots of beer to choose from. Staff accommodated our group of 10 and even made a special shot for our future groom that was so cool! I got fish and chips and they were killer!

This is a great place for great food and beer ! Not only is it a fun atmosphere but also the quality of food far exceeds one's expectations. They have many of their own great beers.. and do flights. Don't miss out on this gem when you are in Barrie.

Food smells incredible. Their smoker out front has you salivating before you hit the door. Service is always great, the food looks amazing. Beer selection is solid, lots of choices

Do I need to offer any star? I think the star is for the location which is great. The service was very rude and abrupt, the bill was over billed, the croutons tasted like bug spray, the wings were tiny, half done, and certainly did not take like Buffalo but did taste like a sugary Chipoltle. The $50.00 bill was 14 scrappy wings, about a cup of nice Romaine with the nasty, had to eject them, croutons, and about a cup of plain cold fries. After asking for cutlery and even a napkin it took 3 people to look at me, go and get a few. No thanks, Can do without the attitude, nothing but cheap beer, low grade food, to drink and zero selection for a glass of wine. Spare yourself.

Excellent food. Friendly staff. The fried chicken was great. Loved the honey coating. Beer was also excellent. Definitely had the fresh micro brew taste. Cool atmosphere and furnishings.

Great place to grab a drink with the family. Totally kid friendly. The beer is fantastic and well balanced. I had the lager and an IPA and thoroughly enjoyed them. The food is great too with an approachable menu.

Went here with friends. Loved the Mac and cheese and beer selection. Good pizzas too. Hot server too.

Very cool brewery. Poutine and pizza are great. Nice staff and great aeronautical theme within. Great place for good food and good craft beer. I recommend the B1 pizza and Billy Bishop Ale.

We stop here every year. Unfortunately, this year we were unable to attend their patio as they are not dog friendly and we brought our lab with us. While we enjoy their beer and the food, not being dog friendly, when most other breweries are, brings their score down a few notches.

Found this spot thanks to Yelp and the reviews already submitted. I'm a fan of brew pubs and this one emphasizes all the reasons why! Non-descript location easily found thanks to comments from reviewers and Waze. Once inside... fun decor in theme with the name. Great service .... very knowledgeable, energetic and fun waiter. Started with baked to order pretzel piping hot from the oven served with a fabulous cheddar mustard dipping sauce. An experimental item that I hope makes it to the menu. We ordered the Barnstormer Burger and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Both were shared and devoured. The burger was a perfect size... not too big, not too small handmade burger... nicely cooked ... flavourful and moist. The chicken sandwich had a nice kick to it and was also moist. Fabulous fries could have ordered just one side of fries since we had the pretzel first. We tried a flight of beer... had fun with trying new beers. Loved some, others not so much. Definitely heading back the next time in Barrie!

You. Know. The food is really good. So is the beer. However, we had a small birthday party, all desperate bills and without consent or notice, they automatically charge an 8% tip to your bill. For downtown Toronto even, that's steep. However in Barrie, where small business work hard to earn money, it is very disappointing. The screwed up our orders and double charged me, they argued with me and wouldn't rerun me the over charge. Keep away if you are coming as a party.

Came here for the brewery tour since I was passing through Barrie. Being a small brewery, I truly enjoyed the home feel of the staff and tour guide taking us in the back and giving us a detailed account of the brewing process, including the history of how they brewery came to be. I appreciated our guide also giving us a few samples to try, all the way back from the grains. Definitely helped decide what to order later. I opted for a flight tour, based on the recommendations from the guide and our server. The polar pumpkin brew was quite a surprise, and the billy bishop brown would be a favourite of mine-smooth and easy to drink. I cannot comment on the food, but my experience for the brewery tour was excellent and would recommend it if you are in the area and looking for something to do.

Met with friends here on a week night when they had a trivia game going on and was really surprised at what a great place this is. We all had different meals: mussels, mushroom burger, and fish tacos. I have eaten a lot of fish tacos, having lived in California for 17 years and think these were some of the best I've had. The beer was excellent and they offer quite a long list for such a small place and unfortunately many were sold out at the time which I think is a testament to how popular their beer is. The service was also great even though it was busy and our server offered excellent suggestions, including a dessert that exceeded our expectations: the tart with s'mores ice cream. This was in itself amazing because it would be something expected at a high end restaurant. Lots of options on the menu as well. They have daily specials and events that make it a great place to go out for a fun time. Kudos!

Pretty disappointed in trying to book a reservation and the guy on the phone didn't seem to care at all or interested in wanting the business.. this was the second time trying them out and we didn't even make it since the customer service is very poor!

I've been coming to Barnstormers for over 2 years now and can't imagine eating and drinking anywhere else! The combination of staff, food and craft beer are perfect!! Very cool aviation decor throughout the place! . Highly recommend a visit here.

Big fan of this place. The beers are fantastic, and food is decent enough. The live music they usually have is great. Can be super loud and the space isn't big enough though. Service is ok. Did I mention that the beers are fantastic?

We just returned from what is possibly the 15th time having eaten here and it's still awesome! Great food and beer. Quick and friendly service. The pizza special is always a solid bet. Accelerated Stall double IPA is my beer of choice.

Great little spot with a nice selection of cocktails and beer. We managed to land on karaoke night which we could have done without but it's only once a month. Wings were great and beer was cold. We tried a dark and stormy as well which was also great. Service was perfect.

So i'm a bit of a food/beer snob now and again, more so because its fun to be this way and kinda evaluate things more critically, but i'm just a normal dude like everyone else. So here's the thing, most times you go in a place like this, get their own beer, maybe some wings , maybe a burger and fries. Or you get your fancy hat on and get a charcutterie board and a couple of flights. This was the good place to go this route, all the different cured meats, seasonal cheeses , pickled veg.. following it up with sips of various beers, combining flavours to pair up with the drinks. So much fun. Try that out with a friend, you'll have a good time here.
