Baros

Baros is a small, but beautiful island & the staff at the resort know you by name from the moment you step onto the island. The resort assigns you a “butler”, which is basically a person on staff that can help you with any questions or arrangements you’d like to ask or make. Mira was very sweet and helpful. I went solo on this trip and this was my 3rd and final destination on my first time to the Maldives. If you want big, lots of action, and are family oriented with small kids under the age of 8 years old, then this probably is not your ideal resort choice, but if you are traveling with a partner or solo, like me, this is a great spot to relax, do some scuba diving or snorkeling, and enjoy the fabulous water villa! Housekeeping was excellent and always seemed to know when I was out of my villa & the villa was always fresh when I got back to it. The Villa I had faced West with a spectacular view of a sunset! In spite of some monsoon-like stormy weather, I greatly enjoyed my stay at Baros and its beautiful surroundings. Cocktail drinks were expensive though & not included in the breakfast & dinner package (lunch not included) unlike the other 2 resorts that I went to beforehand that I paid for all inclusive. The dive center and staff on site were very kind and very accommodating and they made an excellent impression on me. The breakfast buffet was fantastic! The water villa was gorgeous with an infinity pool and chaise lounges & sitting table too on the deck overlooking the water. The bathtub had head rests on both ends, which was great for taking a comfortable bath that also looked out over the Indian Ocean. A very pretty island with a wonderful staff.

It is these considerate touches that make a significant difference.||Lastly, as an avid snorkeler, I was thoroughly impressed by the excellent house reef and shore diving conditions. The vibrant marine life and pristine coral formations right from the shore were breathtaking and added an extraordinary dimension to our stay.||Thank you once again to the entire team at Baros for creating such a memorable escape. Baros is breathtaking. I cannot begin to explain how beautiful our stay was. The staff were highly attentive to our needs and all of the fine details. A special thank you to our butler, Sujata as well as our housekeeper, Noyon and server, Alson for making our stay perfect. I plan to come back.

Baros is one of our most beautiful and romantic islands we every visited! For our 25th honeymoon we stayed again on this lovely island and had wonderful days between palms, beaches, restaurants and diving adventures. If you ever want to stay in paradise go to Baros and join overwelming hospitality, great food in the restaurants, candlelight dinner on the beach and a always smiling and prudent service of the Baros staff! The proximity to airport for super smooth efficient transfer, yet secluded, inclusive of a house reef! But key is the attentive Service by your designated villa butler. Sujana for the 2nd time spoilt us. The hotel was truly generous, did let us have a late check out, very appreciated. The roomservice surprised us with cute little services. Also the food is outstanding, the dine around add-on we fully recommend. On an rainy day they even quickly arranged for a sound bath, how innovative. We feel this is our uncomplicated, stylish, wonderful paradis. We shall come back again and again. Thank you truly Baros team!

Baros Maldives Resort, very upscale in terms of reception, services and staff. We were received and communicated with Ms. Sujata. We enjoyed the resort very much and the staff provided 5 star service. Upon our arrival, we were received in their lounge until we moved by speedboat which took 20 minutes to reach the resort. We were also welcomed in a very nice way. Many thanks and appreciation to you and your services from and to the airport and at the resort.

I was greeted with the warmest smiles, a refreshing welcome drink, and a genuine sense of care that instantly made me feel at home — even though I was thousands of miles away. My villa felt like my own little world — peaceful, beautifully designed, and just steps from the most unreal turquoise water I’ve ever seen. I’d wake up to the sound of gentle waves, spend my mornings snorkeling with colorful fish right off my beach villa and watch the sunset paint the sky from my private pool. It was pure magic. What really stood out to me was the people. The Baros team has this amazing ability to make you feel seen and cared for without ever being intrusive. They’d check in just enough to make sure I had everything I needed, but also gave me the space to enjoy my solitude — something I truly appreciated as a solo traveler. Dining alone never felt lonely here. The staff always made me feel special, and the food… just wow. Every meal felt like a celebration — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Baros gave me something rare: peace, confidence, and connection — with nature, with kind people, and with myself. I left feeling lighter, stronger, and already planning my return. If you’re a solo female traveler wondering whether Baros is for you — it absolutely is. It’s safe, serene, and completely soul-nourishing.
