Baros

We stayed 5 days at Baros and had a great time. We got the half board plan in a water villa. Shinta, our personal concierge was amazing! Our housekeeping associate Aravind was also great!Breakfast was superb and the water is beautiful. The gym was also really good. We really enjoyed our time!

Our stay at Baros truly transformed into an unforgettable experience. After a challenging start, the team went above and beyond to turn our initial disappointment into something genuinely special. We were impressed by how thoughtfully and proactively they handled everything, and we left feeling deeply cared for.||||The resort itself is exceptional. The breakfast is outstanding with a wide and delicious selection, and the house reef is absolutely breathtaking—one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and perfectly maintained throughout our stay.||||A special thank you goes to our butler, Rau, who went out of her way to ensure our stay was memorable in every possible way. Her attention to detail, kindness, and dedication made a tremendous difference.||||We also loved participating in the coral reef sponsorship programme. We created our own cast of corals, which will soon be placed into the ocean and is a meaningful and beautiful contribution to the reef’s restoration. We also learned there a lot about corals (who knew they had tentacles!). Another highlight was the fishing trip, which was incredibly fun and well organised. A big thank you to Ahmed and Team for helping us catch so many fish! To end our stay, we enjoyed a romantic dinner on the beach that was simply magical, created by Ahute and Palash.||||Baros truly redeemed itself and exceeded our expectations. We are grateful for the effort, hospitality, and personal touches that made our trip so special. Highly recommended!

We stayed 5 nights at Baros, we were met at Male airport and guided to the speedboat to take us to the resort. We were met at the jetty with champagne, introduced to our Butler Mika who was on hand via WhatsApp for anything we needed. Every day Mika sent us details of the activities that day. Lime restaurant was great breakfast especially was spectacular. Shimla always made sure we were ok. Cayenne was a treat, we didn't eat in the Lighthouse. The over water villa was wonderful, tea on the deck first thing in the morning was accompanied by sharks, rays and many other eye-watering sights. Sai kept our room perfectly and was friendly. The Sails bar was great, very friendly staff. The snorkeling was some of the best and the Dive Centre were on hand for advice and help. I would recommend Baros as an adult getaway with many once in a lifetime experiences.

Fantastic stay on Baros. We love the Maldives and this is not our first rodeo to one of the most unique places in the world. When looking for a resort the words relaxed unpretentious friendly hideaway with great snorkeling/diving are our key criteria. Baros checked many boxes. Despite being a little bit of a bigger island in terms of guests in comparison to Mirihi or Kandolhu, the atmosphere was extremely relaxed and truly hideaway like. Our overwater Villa was very well designed and immaculately kept by the amazing housekeeping staff. The reef offered a great variety of fish, turtles and sharks. Sea was a bit rough and therefore snorkeling better for advanced skills, but overall very good. Full disclosure for snorkelers/divers looking for untouched diverse coral formations Baros is good, but other house reefs we experienced are better. The resort is wonderfully kept, but the true shine comes from the incredible staff. Thank you very much for an amazing stay and a wonderful time to the whole team.

Baros has hosted us for the last week of November in 2025. We had a great time and wanted to say thank you to the Baros team and especially to Bonan, our butler. I have tried real snorkeling for the first time and genuinely fell in love with it! It's ideal for couples looking for a peaceful paradise without any worries. We will be back - hopefully very soon!

The second visit to Baros was even more wonderful than our first one. Everything about this resort is 5 stars. The Breakfast is about as good as it gets, and all restaurants are in general above par. Same applies to the 2 bars with high quality drinks and very interesting options regarding signature cocktails. The views from the Lighthouse bar for sunset are really impressive.|But the most distinctive aspect is in general all the staff. Friendly and making as feel the centre of the experience, as it should be, always thoughtful and ready to help, this are maybe one of the best staff I have ever seen working in the tourism industry. I would like to thank in particular to our Host - Sujata and the amenities cartaker Azmeel for all the professionalism and personal dedication towards me and my wife. They make the all experience feel even more special. In general is absolutely a 5 stars resort and every cent is well spent if you stay in Baros.
