Barossa 50s Diner

Very cool little place! Great atmosphere and friendly service. Had the best chicken caesar salad I’ve ever had! Great menu selection with so much to choose from. Well worth dropping in.

What a surprise find this turned out to be! Bumped into this place when we were trying to find a place to eat late afternoon after all places were closed. Really like the decor, the Elvis songs playing, the quirky paraphernalia, posters, the dominant red colour scheme of seats and decor, and of course the food! The onion rings would be in my top 10 and the burgers( chicken and veg) didnt disappoint either. I would definitely recommend you to try this one out!

WOW!!! we came up for the barossa marathon and drove past and were so impressed by the decor! we stopped in and were blown away by the food! there was a bit of a wait but we didn’t mind considering how busy it was but the wait was totally worth it! we got a wide range of food and were impressed by everything on the menu! new york hot dog with pickles is where it’s at 🤩 DEFINITELY WORTH THE HOUR LONG TRIP WE MADE!

I had a burger with brisket patty and was not too bad - quite juicy. The one my partner had was a bit dry. Chips were average.

Came here for end of school holidays treat, and treated we were. The food was fantastic and the speed it came it was great. Prices were on point with the amount of food you get. Sure you could feed your family for a lot cheaper at a pub, but the variety of burgers you can expect to pay a bit more. The place is very “instagamable” I wouldn’t say the food is, but that doesn’t matter as long as it taste good, and it hit the mark and that’s all that matters. I think the owners have done well with seating in the small place they have available, but it is a little to cluttered for my liking. They could do with out a lot of the Elvis and Betty boop stuff, but hey if the owners are making extra money out of it, all the best to them. It could have just been me, but the mystery of ordering drink gave a little anxiety as we could see the prices for them anywhere, so a good thing would be to have the prices on the main board behind the counter to elieviate any bill shock. Overall was good, and we will be back

The food was great. Highly recommend the New York and California hot dogs. Onion rings and chips and gravy too. The only warning is the small chips are too much for two people if having in addition to a hot dog or burger. Food is very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is great with all the old memorabilia and furniture- pretty true to the era. The staff are excellent, very friendly and dancing behind the counter. Jessica and Skylar were great - Skylar even gave me her personal supply of hand cleanser when I asked and the diner didn’t have any available. Worth coming for a drive to Tanunda to have good food and the 50s vibe.

The food was super tasty. Even our fussy kids loved it. The staff were super friendly and efficient. A huge selection of burgers, hotdogs, and desserts. A must eat at place if in the area.
