The best cebicheria in Lima! The cebiche is absolutely incredible—each dish with its own twist and incredible flavors. The fried fish with yucca is wildly delicious, too. Barra Chalaca is a perfect spot for a remarkable lunch.

Barra Chalaca – San Isidro, Lima ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place wasn’t even on my radar — until my sister texted me about it mid-morning. No plans to eat, just to check it out and maybe sip something light. A couple minutes later I walked out wondering how I’d survive dinner. Barra Chalaca is casual, vibrant, and clearly knows its audience. The Curatodo, their signature non-alcoholic drink, is criminally refreshing. If you’re into herbal, citrusy blends that feel like they could cure your sins and your hangover — this one’s for you. The Choritos a la Chalaca were next — a dozen mussels loaded with lime juice, onions, tomatoes, and corn. I expected a small bite. I got a full seafood warm-up. And then came the Pan con Pejerrey, which was honestly the reason I’m still talking about this place. Crispy, fried pejerrey tucked into a sandwich with salsa criolla and just the right amount of spice. Classic flavors, no frills, done right. If you’re in San Isidro and want something that feels like street food but lands like a full meal — this is it. Pro tip: Come hungry. Or just cancel dinner.

The food here was great. I had the ceviche mixto and the cariñoso. (Too much for one person but I wanted to try both!) They were both awesome. Excellent seafood, a local recommended it to me and glad I tried it. Very good service, too.

Great food and service. The food is absolutely amazing, we love every single dish, we were initially struggling with Spanish menu and Ivan (his name is) from the resturant helped us with ordering and recommendation which is so helpful. One of the best meal in Latin America we had so far.

Decent ceviche and sea food place next to Miguel Dasso. Quality of ceviche, pejerrey sandwich, chicharron de calamra ar good. Good and relatively fast service… open kitchen…

Their food was tasty, except for the ceviche made out of a cheap fish named "Lisa", which is considered a low grade product. Please do not eat ceviche here if the owner does not upgrade the quality.

3/18/23: Had the ceviche chalaca (4.5*, served with mahi that day), chicha drink (4*, a bit too sweet for me), and the alfajor rascacielo dessert (dulce de leche layered crumble, 4*).
