Barra Lupe

As a Mexican I can say this restaurant is GREAT. Their taco selection is not the usual one but still all I tried were so flavorful, good portions and good prices. They also have a nice cocktail menu. The staff is very kind and it has a really relaxed atmosphere

Terrific new spot that might have just become our favorite local bar. The attention to detail, from the design to the way the drinks are presented, is top-notch. They have a great selection of very creative house cocktails, as well as classics that are prepared the way they're meant to. The food is authentic Mexican fare - elevated, but not to the point where it loses its roots. And the sauces are absolutely delicious. All in all, a fantastic new addition to the neighborhood scene, and one we will happily frequent.

We went for a few drinks and a light lunch. All of the tacos we ordered were great, I got the Volcán de pollo pibil which was delicious and the birria which was also fantastic. The cocktails were expertly made and really delicious. Mario our waiter was extremely attentive, constantly checking we had everything we needed!

Overall decent experience at Barra Lupe. The flautas were quite good, as were the cocktails. The tacos were solid as well, if a little underfilled. The service, however, was unfortunately quite weak. It took ~40 minutes to get a baja fish taco, and quite a few things took several asks. That sadly detracted from the overall experience. Not a bad experience, but overall a bit strange.

We had the Tostada volcan pollo which was very delicious! But honestly the passion fruit sorbet was just incredible! Mario was serving us and he was amazing!

Really good food and great selection of drinks! Definitely get the guacamole to help soften the bite and give that extra flavor. The spicyness is there definitely.

Empty spot, maybe because of the holiday but was highly regarded. Ordered birria, tacos and two cocktails. Cocktails were great food and service were trash. My birria came out cold and instead of pouring a new bowl they microwaved the same on with soggy onion pieces and wilted tortilla. The chef was on his phone all night and wouldn’t wash his hands in between prep. This is how people get sick. When they saw I didn’t want it anymore, they said this is how you want it. Rude service in 2026 is crazy.

What a cool place! We stayed not far from this place and decided to stop by for some evening margaritas. Mario was our server and he was EXCELLENT! Really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome even though we only had drinks (great ones!). The whole place is welcoming and the drinks and service were fantastic. Ask for Mario if you can. He was the best!
