We came pretty late and the place was packed, but they managed to seat us quickly. We ordered a salad and the BBQ for 2 (the one with the Tropeiro beans).
The Food:
• The Meat (Carne de Sol): Was actually good for the first 5 minutes, but then it got dry and tough, honestly felt like chewing on a shoe lace.
• The Salad (Salada Mix - R$ 36.90): Totally tasteless. I guess no one eats vegetables here, but it literally tasted like dirt.
• Tropeiro Beans: This farofa was uneatable. We actually think it might have been rotten.
• Feijão com Legumes (R$ 31.50): We didn't even order this! They brought it by mistake and because of the language gap, we didn't realize it until the bill came. Ironically, it was the best dish on the table.
• Caipirinha (R$ 25.50): Really good, definitely the highlight.
Service & Billing:
Pay attention to the bill! They tried to charge us R$ 187.90 for the meat even though the menu clearly said R$ 172.50. They claimed they "just discovered" the price difference, which is hard to believe, but they fixed it fast when we pointed it out. We ended up paying for the extra bean dish because explaining it in English was useless, but at least it tasted good.
Bottom line: Cool vibe, good drinks, but double-check your receipt and maybe skip the salad.
