The Barracuda

Started choking as soon as I walked in. Only enough seating for about 20-25 people around the bar and maybe 2-3 tables way on the other side of the building for a few more otherwise ur standing looking silly drinking. Server was alright. Just robotic and not very personable. Looks like more of a local hang out for people who are regulars and friends to go after work. 3 pool tables and a few dart machines and a couple of ill placed tvs for entertainment. No food. So out of date that beers come out of igloo coolers not the normal industrial ones. No draft beer. Just a dive to pop into if ur a smoker and not looking for fun, entertainment, or pleasant people.

This bar is on its way out, any investors that want some north Norman business will be welcome. Now everyone else needs to go to 711 and pray this bar happens to stay open as the “dive bar “ it sadly stands. So sadly that I want to laugh in disgust, I wanted to throw up inside the bar it smelled like black mold.

10/10 fits the dive bar bill. If you’re in the area definitely stop by. 🙂

They have a food truck called Mac Daddy's parked outside and the food is sooooo gooood omg I love it amazing

One of my absolute favorite dive bars. I'm an irregular here pop in occasionally. Never had a bad time here. Ever. Karaoke on Saturday nights. Pulling dark tournaments throughout the week. Good mix of old school and new school.

This place is GREAT! I love this place! The beer is cold! The other drinks are a good healthy pour! Pool tables! The bathroom is clean! It is a good neighborhood bar in an area that doesn’t really have neighborhood bars. Yes! It is smokey! So go sit on the patio! Grouchy staff? They deal with people who might be drinking too much! If I’m over the top, I WANT them to be grouchy with me! Besides, a good solid tip usually helps with mood improvement!

Editing because we tried the bar. We opened the door and were hit by a wall of smoke. We turned right around and left. I can't imagine the migraine I would have the next day if I stayed in there for any length of time. We used the little outdoor drink stand. My husband got the mango pineapple and I got the triple berry. His was much better than mine. I'll know what to order next time!

Norman's best kept secret! Talk about friends in low places lol.. This little dive bar has a regular clientele and staff that will pull you into its folds and make you feel at home. Everyone is friendly! Its a clean dive bar/biker bar atmosphere with plenty of free parking in the back, a fantastic bar, 3 well kept pool tables and equipment (free on Mondays), darts, and karaoke on some nights. Come as you are! (I suggest using the entrance behind the bar off of Tecumseh road instead of the Porter entrance)

Cool little bar. Friendly staff, pool tables are decent, outdoor patio is nice. Smoking is allowed inside, both tobacco and bud.

Friendly faces makes this bar one of my favorite places to go! The bartenders are pretty awesome too!!!

Love this place. Prompt service, friendly staff, classic bar feel to the place, and ultra low prices on drinks. I'll be coming back frequently.
