We had a wonderful dinner at Barracuda Restaurant in Sliema, and it was truly a memorable evening. I enjoyed the traditional rabbit stew while my partner chose the chicken — both dishes were perfectly cooked and full of rich flavor. Our waiter was exceptionally kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We paired our meal with a Maltese Sauvignon wine, which was excellent and complemented the food beautifully. The sea view from our table created the perfect atmosphere — elegant, relaxing, and romantic. An unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend Barracuda for anyone visiting Malta who wants great food, warm service, and a beautiful atmosphere.

Barracuda Restaurant in St. Julian’s is seaside dining at its finest 🌊✨. We came here for a birthday celebration and everything was flawless — from the warm welcome to the stunning sea views. The bruschetta starter was fresh and full of flavor 🍅🥖, the roasted chicken roulade with spinach, mascarpone & asparagus purée was beautifully presented and delicious 🍽️, and the desserts… wow! The elderflower pannacotta and crème caramel brûlée were simply heavenly 🍮🍓. The staff went above and beyond — even surprising us with a candlelit dessert and birthday music 🎶🎂. Such a thoughtful touch that made the evening unforgettable. A perfect mix of cozy ambience, refined flavors, and luxury by the sea. Highly recommended for a special night out! 🌟🥂

Avoid this place – total disappointment from start to finish We recently dined at this restaurant, and it was an experience we wouldn’t wish on anyone. As soon as we arrived, we were approached (or rather, pressured) by a very insistent man at the entrance — a Brazilian host whose only goal seemed to be to get people to sit down. It felt like a well-rehearsed act just to lure in customers. Unfortunately, once seated, things only got worse. The restaurant is ridiculously overpriced for what it offers, with bland, tasteless food and careless service. We ordered seafood pasta, and it was honestly inedible: • The dish was drenched in oil, to the point where it completely masked the flavor. • There was no seasoning at all — no salt, no herbs, no nothing. Just bland, flavorless pasta. • We genuinely felt like they were mocking us with the quality of the food. Other unacceptable points: • They brought only one napkin for two people, even though we were eating seafood. • We asked for extra sauce for our starter (fried calamari), and the waiter told us the chef was “busy” — so we never got it. • No parmesan on the table. When we asked for some (which should be a standard with pasta), they told us it would be an extra €5 charge. Yes, €5 for a bit of parmesan. Unbelievable. Honestly, the value for money is terrible. This is clearly a tourist trap that doesn’t even bother to offer decent food or basic service. Avoid at all costs if you don’t want to waste your money. I’m attaching photos so you can see for yourself.

Maya gave us an amazing experience straight from arriving she was so welcoming and gave us a lovely table. The views are amazing and the waiters are so friendly and knowledgable. The food is full of flavour. Definitely the best restaurant of the holiday.

I decided on Barracuda for my birthday dinner (didn’t let the restaurant know because I don’t like the fuss) by chance we managed to be seated on a table (out of the three on the balcony) overhanging St Julian’s Bay which you cannot reserve. We enjoyed the food and the view so much, we came back a couple nights later. Just as good second time around and even got seated on the same table. Lovely guys who manage and wait in the restaurant. Highly recommend and if I come back to Malta I will definitely come back.

We were walking through sliema then realised this restaurant. Mario welcomed us so warmly. We ordered our food.my husband wanted to have grilled octopus and asked about the portions. Waitress informed us that would be around 200gr octopus as starter portion then he decided to order as starter portion and additional waitress recommended us order some roast potatoes and we did. We ordered octopus, sea food and fish stew( main course) potatoes and bottle of white wine and bottle of sparkling water. We were very disappointed about octopus quality( it was chewy) and size was very small not even 100gr, and stew as seen on picture like fish soup, inside the stew there were only 2 prawn 2 mussels and little bit fish pieces rest of them all water. Prawn and mussels was not peeled. No taste at all!! I told about that to owner and she told me this is how they are doing stew. It was not stew at all it was a fish soup. She kindly change my food with calamari which was dry and so much flour taste on. Looking great place perfect location, and it was 83.00 euro bill end of it. We went to another restaurant after that because we were very hungry of course. Such a shame!!! Overpriced and not deserved at all.

Splendid restaurant overhanging St Julian’s bay. We reserved a table for Saturday evening, which I recommend. The views were awesome even at night. The oysters were to die for, with a very interesting dressing with tomatoes, and the desserts were lovely too. My pasta wasn’t the most exciting dish I have tasted but it was pleasing and sort of comfort food.
