Stopped by Barrel 2 Bottle while in Vacaville and was really impressed. Arsh, the owner, was super friendly and helpful. The store has a great selection—especially if you're into bourbon. Unlike the big box stores that only carry the latest batch, they had four or five different batches of many bottles. Easily one of the best selections I’ve seen locally. Prices are mostly competitive—some a few dollars higher than the chains—but Arsh is great to work with, especially if you're buying multiple bottles. I picked up several and got a solid deal on an allocated bottle, even though the posted price was full secondary. He had two store picks in stock that looked interesting too. The shop is clean, well-organized, and parking is easy. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Don't be shy. If you have a question or see something you like, ask. Price a bit out of your budget, ask.

Does that mean you have to serve SWILL at your sisters bridal shower? Even Jesus of Naz knew better than that when he brought out the best WINE for last at the wedding feast. Right on Jesus you’re ahead of your time. Just like these guys. Take a good long look. Cuz when this review hits you’ll be waiting in line down the sidewalk. Good business hours, great parking. Easy in and out plenty of curbside options. This is a family owned and run business. Support this alternative to giant box stores where nobody knows your name. I’m greeted with a smile and solid customer service. Remember your sales person is only as good as you are. Smile and understand they are hustling as fast as they can. They do: Custom hard to find orders for large gatherings. Their wine and spirit expert will return your call and guide you. Tax and service fee apply. Bottle service for your next party? How about that outdoor concert? I think I saw a picnic basket in there somewhere.

My first visit to Barrel 2 Bottle and I fell in love. So I decided to go back to take my niece and show her an amazing building.

Blown away by their extensive inventory. The shop keeper/bartender was very knowledgeable in his spirits. Spent a while picking out a new Tequila to taste.

Incredible selection; best I've seen in Vacaville. They have ten types of red ale, half a dozen black lagers, dozens of sours including unusual flavors. Prices are also fair. If you like hard kombucha they also have some rare ones of those available!

Great selection/fair price...... but don't buy bottles to give as gifts they cut the box up..... (possibly to prevent from reselling? I'm not sure but a heads up would have been nice...) Bought a Japanese Whiskey bottle as a gift and once I got home to wrap it, I saw the cuts on the boxes. It's not a cheap bottle but due to the cuts on the box... it seems like it now. Buy bottles for yourself that you will drink, not bottles to give as gifts.......

This place has a mind blowing selection of beer and liquor. The store is clean and organized with multiple walk ins to browse chilled wines and beers. The service is super friendly and helped me find a pretty obscure beer that I couldn't find anywhere else. Will definitely be back for more!!

Great selection of a whiskey, vodka, Rum, Gin, mixers and stuff. This was my first time so I went to every aisle and checked out everything!! Easily navigated on every aisle and I found what I wanted. I will be back again for some good Whiskey

I love helping out the local small business owners in the area. Even though we have big box wine and alcohol options in the area this place has amazing prices and selection!... come here first!! The staff are always there to help, and the atmosphere is great!

The service is good. But boy are they expensive. Bought a bottle of Aperol for 31 dollars and it's on sale at BevMo for 19.99. Way too expensive. Also got Prosecco for 17 dollars and it's on sale at BevMo for 13.99. Will shop elsewhere from now.

I love shopping local and supporting independent retailers whenever possible. I don't mind paying full retail at times if it benefits the local proprietor's business. But they also need to do their part not to take advantage of that and not use the opportunity to price gouge. Almost every whiskey here is marked anywhere from $5 a $20 ABOVE full retail price! And if a particular product was mentioned or reviewed in Whiskey Advocate magazine, the egregious price hikes worsen. It didn't used to be like this at B2B. They were usually competitive on staples like Tito's and Bombay or a selection of local craft IPAs, but not anymore. They also don't mark their prices on the shelves or bottles for most items, so you get the sticker shock at the register after everything is rung up. Even compared to grocery stores in California, they're very inflated on pricing. Know your prices before coming here and know what your comfortable paying for everything. If things change, I'll report back. Cheers!

Need a specific wine that nobody else seems to carry? This is the go to place! My mom's boyfriend wanted a specific wine made by Meridian that no one else including BevMo did not carry. This spot had plenty in stock at the decent price of $5.99 a bottle! Be sure to call ahead to make sure they have it in stock.

Lil pricey, but they have all the stuff you can't get anywhere else, so I pay a little more for the convenience.

I'm very disappointed with the customer service at this store. This is my first time at this store and I was looking at all their inventory for a gift. Apparently you can't spend more than 10 minutes at this store or else the owner or whoever he is starts accusing you of suspicious activity. He doesn't know my style of shopping. I like to look at everything but i guess it's prohibited at his store. He decided to give me 5 min to decide or else kick me out of the store since he assume I wasn't gonna buy anything. Now why would i wanna buy something from that store after being treated like a criminal? The nerve of that guy. Yelp should have negative stars because thats what i would rate this store.

I can totally see why people got/get annoyed at the one female worker who just can't seem to leave you alone, but as a newly turned legal drinker I was grateful for the help. Compared to Bevmo, there's less bulk options and less options overall, but there's still a huge amount of selection here. The prices compared to safeway, CVS, and Bevmo seems fair to me--but I really don't have too much experience to know a better priced place. They sell the small bottles like Bevmo, perfect for birthday gifts and decorating a cake with. They don't sell any brewing equipment here and were really lax with my ID, one glance and done! So maybe the person who was complaining about having 7 people needing to look has a really messed up ID?

Noticed Barrel 2 Bottle banner coming back from WalMart, which is located just across the street. Saw "Huge Selection of Craft Beer" printed on the banner. Being a craft beer whore I had to hop to Yelp to check out the reviews. One reviewer mentioned Barrel 2 Bottle being the only place in Solano Co that carries Russian River BC bottles. Just that made me check it out. Here I come. B2B is in an old location of Wine and Spirits World which closed a while ago. It is pretty large with kind of an open space, warehouse-y feel. I will only review the beer section as that is all I have checked. First of all, all beers are kept in coolers. That is a big plus. Considering the area they have a decent selection of bottles... Noticed few brews from SD that I didn't find anywhere else around here. Also scored some Stone Enjoy By, cheaper than at BevMo. All good so far but here comes the disappointing part: they DO NOT carry Russian River. I asked about it and got the answer that they occasionally bring some from "there" (there being RRBC?) and sell at the price they bought at to "friends. I hoped that they would have a deal with Vinnie or something. Oh well, I knew from before that it is virtually impossible to get Pliny nowadays in SC so I won't cry here. But it would be nice.... As for beer selection it is probably not as wide as BevMo but they do refrigerate all of it. The prices seem a bit better then BevMo too..... B2B is a welcome addition and another option to find good beer at decent prices in Vacaville....I will come again but won't expect Russian River miracles :)

This used to be a great place with good prices. New people bought and raised prices through the ceiling warning warning!!!

I bought 3 bottles of wine for a small party. I didn't realize both of the Chardonnay wines were 2011. When I opened them, they were both long over the drinkable stage. TERRIBLE. Beware, they are either buying very old stock or not turning it quickly enough. I will not return to the store.

Well, walked into the store and was greeted by a gentleman. Asked for Chateau Montelena Chardonnay. He immediately told me they didn't have it so I asked where the Chardonnay section was and I was VERY happy to find the wine I was looking for! I expressed my pleasure at finding it to the gentleman (I would have had to drive to St. Helena otherwise) and the man completely ignored me. Paid for my wine, no "thank you", and I was out the door. My opinion? First time there so I don't know if this is regular behavior, but I felt like the gentleman I spoke with couldn't care less that I was there.

This is my go to for my spirits! They have a great selection on "different" beers and have great customer service. They even will special order you items if they don't have it in stock.

No refunds allowed, only store exchanges even though I just made my purchase 10 minutes beforehand. The cashier was unfriendly and unhelpful. I was forced to keep the bottle I purchased already or exchange for something else. So I exchanged for a different bottle of tequila, that happened to be $5 less than the original bottle I purchased. The cashier wouldn't give the remaining $5 back to me or even offer a store credit. Only option was to forfeit the remaining money or find something else to use up the $5...I ended up getting a bottle opener that I didn't need because I didn't want to forfeit the remaining balance...ridiculous...Apparently the management doesn't care to have returning customers...the measly $5 was more important to them...smh...I won't be going back there.

My new favorite liquor store. Great prices and friendly guys. HUGE selection of liquor, wine, and craft beer plus the basics. I asked if they had a specific vodka, Mountain Icelandic Vodka to be precise (from the Game of Thrones character, The Mountain) and they took down my name and number to let me know if they can get it. Then we talked about the latest Game of Thrones episode.

I was looking for an alternative to bevmo and I found one. Pretty good selection of craft beers and their prices are competitive. Only place I know in solano county that carries russian river. Their staff was very friendly thou not as knowledgable as I'd like. They even give military discounts, I'm definitely coming back.

Best liquor store in Vacaville ! Good prices and friendly customer service !! The prices are always cheaper then Bev Mo and Costco and there located right by the outlets so it's right off the freeway !

We went to the 25% off table we were stalked by the owner/sales associate at the table. We asked the price of the wine we were told $50, we thought that meant $50. less 25% no it meant $53 then discounted to $50.. What a scam...the math didnt work. Don't go to any "special table" buy what you know you are paying a set price for

Was no impressed. Went is to get a bottle of Gin for a friend and the cashier said he had no knowledge on any of the product.... but the selection was great. Did some research on my phone and got what I needed but common the employees should have somewhat knowledge or at least a general knowledge on what their selling...

This place is well worth the visit! Excellent service with a huge selection of wine and spirits. The prices are significantly cheaper than most stores around too!

This place is my absolute FAVORITE, I'm most definitely a regular here. I Have been going to this place since I first started drinking ! They have an excellent selection and really good pricing as well. They have a really good selection of mixed drinks and a bunch of craft brewery beers as well. The customer service is superb, the manager is amazing :)

Like others mentioned, the white lady that works there is a bit obnoxious. She acts like a salesperson would at a car dealership. She is nice, however when I told her I was just browsing she didn't leave me be, she continued to show me what was "new" and what she says other people like. Their beer bottle selection is decent but nothing close to bevmo. I felt pressured by the lady and her consistent haggling. But otherwise their pricing is average. Nothing special.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I understand checking the I.D. to make sure it's legit but to the point where they have several people checking it and questioning you is just ridiculous. If I could pick no stars I would.

Only reason I give it a one star is because they have some good beer but their customer service is terrible!!! When Michelle was there it was great. But since she left my husband has been trying to get our keg filled and we would call they would oh ya well call you on Tuesday ( that's when their distributer is there no call. We waited 3 weeks called again, they said the same thing , no call back!!! Terrible terrible customer service!!

Barrel 2 Bottle is a great alternative to Bevmo! Unlike some of the other reviews I find Michelle, the "white lady" to be extremely helpful and hardworking! When I've been in the store if she's not busy helping a customer, she's busy maintaining the store! Yes, if they do not have what you're looking for, Michelle will go out of her way to get it for you. Michelle will even notify you when it comes in which I think is awesome!! It's great to see an employee dedicated to excellent customer service, which is hard to come by these days!!
