We live in the area so stopped in. The owner helped us out. Great place. The canned gin drinks are amazing. The dark rum made with Crosby molasses is unbelievable. Highly recommend stopping by when in the Valley. Did I mention the rum ? Very unique 👌

Was feeling in a "support local" mood at the liquor store and got the 5 fathom rum. Not only is it a good local choice, it's an amazing rum overall. Basically it's the best integration of a molasses flavor in any rum I have ever had. Had it on the rocks and let the ice melt slightly, no bite, all flavor. What a great find! The bottle and cork is a unique touch too.

Big fan of Tide Gin over the years. Always take a bottle from Liquid Assets airport store when visiting out of province, and it's a big hit. Wanted to try, but had trouble finding, a bottle of the Windward Whiskey as it seemed to always be sold out. Finally found a bottle at the Garlic Festival in Windsor, NS, a couple of weeks ago. Very much enjoying this excellent sipping whiskey. Fares well versus the competition, which would be premium labels from the big boys, and other craft regional distilleries. Only downsides are availability and the somewhat high price @ $67.00 for 700 ml bottle. Will savour this one.

I purchased a bottle of 5 Fathoms Rum for my neighbours 50th year anniversary.. unfortunately he passed a way 3 days before .. he was a Navy man spent his life in Submarines and loved his Rum..but he never got the chance to taste this, so the bottle has sat .. waiting for the right moment.. so last night I decided to see what it tastes like.. put my normal 3 ice cubes in the glass poured a couple ounces in.. and took a taste .. Oh My God.. never in my life, have I tasted such a smooth rum. I will be ordering more .. Thank you ..

I had the chance to pick up a couple bottles of their vodka from Saltscapes. Great people and even better vodka, chili vodka makes a solid caesar, try it out.

Visited a few weeks ago. Enjoyed the tasting and bought the tidal run. Now we are home in thunder bay and cracked the bottle open. OMG it is the most amazing drink. So smooth and sweet tasting. We just love it. Will be placing an order for more. Very very enjoyable!!

Yelp
If you're in the Annapolis Valley, take a detour to this area where Barrelling Tide is just one of the awesome spots. They've got a lot of options ranging from vodka, rum, gin and a bunch of flavoured liqueurs. You can sample as many as you liked and I'd personally suggest their one off stone fruit gin which was not my favourite but interesting and worth a try regardless. The Javalley was pretty cool which would be great in your coffee. We personally really liked their vodka. The best part of this place was the super friendly staff. Lots of free parking and a port a potty outside.

Yelp
What a fantastic rum! For a 2 year distillery, they have an amazing collection liqueurs and spirits. If you like to make cocktails, then the liquors could be your friend to change up you standard drink. The owner is very nice and knowledgeable about his products.

Yelp
Found this great distillery as we were visiting family in the area. Happened to see it from the road and went in. We bought cranberry liqueur and dark rum that's made from molasses. The cranberry liqueur was good but the rum was amazing. It's so smooth! The staff member working was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
A new distillery focused on local ingredients, and out-of-the-ordinary spirits. Upon opening the tasting room had 6 moderately priced spirits, all with a unique twist. The vodka is corn-based and quite smooth with a touch of sweetness. The "molasses spirit" is an unaged rum precursor with a definite blackstrap palate note. The gin has a lot of flavour layers going on thanks to a novel two step masceration process for the juniper berries. The tasting room staff were very informative and happy to demo the gamut of offerings, and the gleaming distilling equipment is visible through the glass wall. The flavored liqueurs were quite nice, focusing on deep flavour rather than sweetness, making me think these would be great for both siping and cooking with. Overall, a great addition to the burgeoning Port Williams craft food & beverage trail. A good start and I'm sure they'll grow into a notable player in the NS scene!
