Established small craft brewery with limited tap range. Very friendly service with a smile. Very hospitable and knowledgeable. The beers were tasty and cold on a hot day. I liked that all the beers were the same price and the bar area was comfortable. The atmosphere was a little clinical yet you can't cater for everyone. Definately a great place to stop on your way North from Cairns. Disability friendly, toilet facilities available, air-conditioned.

I cannot say enough about the delicious beers and the hospitality that Cameron and his family offered my wife and me. I am a self-proclaimed beer lover as I am sure many of you are. Which is why when planning our holiday I inevitably designated mandatory beer stops into our travel plans. After all, what is a holiday without beer? Keep in mind that when on holiday and drinking copious amounts of alcohol one often tends to loses track of time. Therefore, after spending the day exploring the natural wonder that is the Great Barrier Reef and soaking up some hot Australian Sun my wife and I agreed that it was time for a nice cold frothy beverage. We made our way to Barrier Reef Brewery only to discover that although we may have thought it was Thursday it was actually Wednesday. Prior to this realization we emphatically knock on the door as our taste buds were overwhelmed with anticipation of the refreshing beers that we were about to consume; we honestly thought that the door had been shut accidently. Cameron must have heard our knocks because as we were getting back into our rental car to continue our search for that delicious beverage we so desperately craved when he opened the front door and invited us in! Mind you this is a family run operation and he was simultaneously cleaning the facility, brewing and bottling; yet he took time out of his day to chat with us and allow us to try an array of his delicious beverages. Cameron and his family are some of the most hospitable and genuine people that we have ever met. This experience was hands down one of the most memorable experiences of our 4 week journey in Australia. Cameron talked beer with us, provided us with several incredible beer samples, gave us a few coasters (which we cherish), and gave us a mini tour of his operation. I cannot remember the profile of his beers as our visit was in December 2016, but what I can tell you is that Cameron does not make a bad beer! Cameron and his parents also offered my wife and I some great advice which included numerous suggestions on different driving routes that we could take to make the most out of our 2-week road trip. We are forever grateful for this experience and can never thank Cameron and his family enough! Cheers, Justin & Lauren

This man really knows what he's doing. Only open for a few hours on a Thursday and Friday but its worth the visit. Tasty beers with a whole bunch of knowledge to go with it. Keep it up!

Tasty beers at a reasonable price. Thoroughly enjoyed the Amber and the IPA. Shame it was busy to give it a better atmosphere.

I'm drinking my first BRBC brew(Coco porter, because I'm a Guinness drinker) as I type this and have to say I'm utterly as impressed as I am surprised. Cairns isn't exactly known as the epicentre of quality goods and services, but THIS beer IS damn good. To actually have a decent brewery in cairns would be such a pleasant juxtaposition which I'm more than happy to support. Thank you.

As world traveling nomads from Seattle, we search out craft brewers at all our stops, and this is one of the best. Great beer, cleverly decorated and cozy taproom, friendly and knowledgeable brewmaster. Love the hop-flower turtle logo too!
