Don’t forget to ask for your free sample of the ginger liquor! As a walk-in customer, it looks like a regular bar. But in fact, every spirit, beer or cider on offer is from New York State! Ask for the newspaper that outlines all the details of all the beverages. You will find various flights of spirits to sample, but there is only the one ginger liquor that they make themselves. Or plan ahead and check the website to schedule an actual class or fancy tasting set up

Overall rating: 4.8 Came here with a friend for their happy hour before playing a game of Petanque in the area. The bartender is soo nice and I loved all the drink options. I just had the lavender gin one on the happy hour menu and it was very tasty! Definitely want to come back when I’m in the area.

Beautiful atmosphere and amazing drinks. Dave is amazing and the most friendly bartender! The ginger liquor is phenomenal!

Yummy drink ! Prices are alright. The froze is 12 and really good so I think that’s reasonable. I also think they redecorated the space , have been here in a while. They do events sometimes too! A chill lowkey spot with a good chill versatile playlist. I would go back my myself or with friends in industry city! I originally found out about them on a tipplr. The design was a bit industrial and unwelcoming before , but idk something is new here! If you don’t like dog, beware I think the owner or someone who works here brings the dog to work, idc personally , they don’t serve much food and doggy is not not touching the liquor.

Dog friendly Nice bartender Friendly atmosphere My mind was blown when I saw the DIY s’mores kit with a fire pit outside

Google
What a surprising discovery to find this delightful everything-ginger-brewed-and-distilled bar in Industry City. The atmosphere inside is an exciting mix of steam punk meets distillery laboratory. I love their shelf selection of ginger beers and bought myself the Belvoir Organic Ginger Beer, which was light and tasty. I yet have to go back for a serious ginger drink, as it was a bit too early in the day for me. This place is absolutely on my must-go-back list and bring friends!

Love the collection of Gin & whiskey, the price is very reasonable. The owner is SUPER, he knows what customers want! We bought the whiskey and gin he recommended, and we absolutely love them! Unfortunately on the way home, the bag broke and one of my Gin hit the ground and shattered. I went back to the store and asked if I could get another bag. The next day, I received the full refund of that Gin. It’s Nobody’s fault for the broken bottle, but the owner refunded me without a word. I appreciate his kindness and absolutely will go back there again!

The atmosphere of this place is so beautiful - such a relaxing place to drink. This place has ginger in all the drinks except the hibiscus lemonade. The frozen mule was very strong and very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Fun cocktail spot in Industry City. All of the cocktails have two things in common 1. They all have Barrow's homemade ginger liqueur as an ingredient. 2. All of the other spirits in the cocktail are made in New York State. They have some bar seating outside in the courtyard as well as indoor seating. The bar tender gave us samples of the ginger liqueur on its own. It tastes like the pickled ginger you get when you have sushi or sashimi. Very tasty.

Yelp
I stopped by to check out the place. It wasn't open yet but there was worked who was very nice n gave us tasting of ginger limoncello. So good. I ended up buying a bottle. I will need to come back when it's open!

Yelp
The bartender here was super friendly. The customer we sat next to is very nice. The ambiance chill. And the extensive menu they had for a tasting. Either rum, gin, whiskey was great. Their house made ginger shot very good. Would highly recommend checking out this place

Yelp
Came here for drinks on a Friday night and we got seats at the bar right away. I love ginger in a cocktail so I was excited to try. They have an extensive menu, so I asked the bartender a few questions before ordering. Ultimately we went with the Purple Rain and the OG G&T. Give them a try.

Yelp
I came here twice as part of the Tippler experience. And boy this place does not disappoint!!! The first time I came in the winter and had a hot toddy. The second time I had a variation of the Moscow Mule. The staff is very knowledgable and go above and beyond to make this a great experience. FYI, the recently renovated too! So be sure to check it out if you haven't been in a awhile. The new vibe feels so cozy and perfect for a date night. IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Yelp
Fun bar inside industry city. They had trivia on a Wednesday night. I had a gin cocktail which was good. Bartender was attentive. Good selection of NY based whiskey distilleries and some solid NY based craft beers available in cans.

Yelp
Interesting experience here at Barrow's, in the past I did attend at least 4 times so far and two times were for The Tippler Winter Book last year. Intense Hot Cider was a good drink that brings a spark to a cold day. In the summertime, most people seemed to order the Frozen Mule ( I did not love the drink but did not hate it either). Personally, it is not the most convenient neighborhood to travel to unless you live kind of close by. Staff was pretty friendly each time I did visit. Hours of operation were also pretty convenient. Featured cocktail, you can go for Intense Hot Cider, two of them will probably hit for you and you will enjoy.

Yelp
Located in Industry City, I can't rave about this place enough! A fantastic alcohol collection, creative cocktails, many spiced with ginger. Bourbon, rye, gin. Woody drinks, floral drinks, basic cocktails. Fantastic mellow vibe. Super cool bartenders. Live performances (I'm listening to a fun jazz duo right now). Would recommend this as part of your industry city experience any time! Tip: don't order the Roberta's pizza (presumably frozen and brought over). Unless you just need to soak up the alcohol, it's pretty terrible! EDIT: I just spent six hours chatting with the staff and some regulars and this place is so cool and down to earth. It encompasses all I love about New York City and Brooklyn.

Yelp
The drinks was great and I also loved the bartender. Awesome service !!! Looked veryyy pretty.

Yelp
5 star for their tasting room + 5 star for their product. If you like ginger, you'll love's Barrow's Ginger Liqueur. To be honest, everyone should keep a bottle of this on their bar cart. It works great as a digestif drinking it straight, but it works beautifully in cocktails that have ginger elements. One of my favorite cocktails to make is a penicillin. Unfortunately if you make your own ginger syrup at home, it loses its edge/bite relatively quickly if stored more than a few days. However, I can make a fabulous penicillin using Barrow's anytime I want! They have an indoor area to hang out and try a variety of cocktails or sample their wares in the heart of Industry City. They also have pretty great outdoor seating, with fire pits and live music on weekends. Definitely stop by here to chill over drinks, and don't forget to leave with some bottles to take home!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is such a cool thing to experience. They make their own ginger liqueur and it's "intense". I ended up getting an old fashioned with some of the ginger liqueur incorporated and it blended really well with the bourbon. The owner was very engaging and they even had a live band come through. They also have a fire pit outside.
google avatar

Yelp
Barrow's is sooooooo good. They make their own Ginger Liqueur but also sell a lot of other stuff but the best part is it's all New York State products! From Coopers to Black Button, Barrow's has it all when it comes to really excellent quality products supporting NYS businesses. Industry City is a great place to find businesses like Barrow's so you can stop by and get some great food right down the alley! The place is COOL. Like super legit- romantic vibes inside but also great for a happy hour drink. There's indoor and outdoor seating (outdoor even has a firepit during the winter!). They have a bunch of events like "Meet the Maker" events with local distilleries and other special tastings. The cocktails are top notch- super well curated and always delicious. I had a awesome cocktail with both the Barrows ginger Liqueur and some amazing whiskey. It was unique but really good. The bartenders and manager have a ton of knowledge of the different spirits and are willing to educate you to get you exactly what you're craving. Take a look at their wall map to see the variety of New York Artisan they showcase. It's such a cool and comfortable place to be

Yelp
That's it!! This place is officially my place of comfort. I love the chill vibes and relaxing music. With each sip I can feel the days stressors floating away. I love the consistency! I've never had a bad drink.... EVER! I think that says a lot. So for all of you ginger lovers out there, this is your sign. Stop on by and get a taste of Brooklyn's homemade ginger liqueur.
google avatar

Yelp
I love fresh ginger, crystallized ginger, ginger beer and now ginger liqueur. When you take a sip of this liqueur it feel like all that ails you magically disappears. I added it to a beer that wasn't my favorite and the Intense ginger liqueur made it taste amazing. I have tasted The ginger liqueur in a sangria and it was unique and very good. The bottle comes with a few recipes. It is definitely a good flavor to mix and experiment. I also purchased two kinds of the non-alcoholic ginger beers. Both were good, not too sweet. I am a fan!

Yelp
Yet another fantastic business joins the wonderful maze that is Industry City. Sunset Park has long been a hub of culture, history, and food but with all the markets, food courts, distilleries, and tasting rooms making up this former warehouse space, the neighborhood is now a full blown destination. I love ginger liqueur, and the menu of creative cocktails Barrow's offers introduced me to so many interesting ways to incorporate it into my drinks. On a hot day, nothing beats the refreshing zing of a frozen mule. Theirs is delicious and just $10, significantly more affordable than the $15+ frozen drinks you'll find around the complex. I also tried an iced coffee spiked with ginger liqueur, a combination I didn't know would work but absolutely does. Industry City has multiple courtyards with plenty of tables and seating and I highly recommend grabbing a seat near Barrow's for easy access-- you'll want to go back for multiple rounds.

Yelp
Cool little spot. We had to order from a window instead of going inside and the signs weren't super clear though. We got here right when they opened and ordered a Frozen Intense Mule which is Barrow's Ginger Liquer, Fresh Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, and Black Button Professional Vodka. It's really good and I think they make it in the AM for the day. Pretty strong and glad I didn't get the XXX which adds an additional shot of ginger moonshine on the top. Plenty of space to sit outside including a cool little fire pit.
google avatar

Yelp
Best way to cool down from this heat is to have a frozen ginger mule. It's cold and super gingery. Which i love the most. Definitely coming back to try their other drinks.

Isaac I.

Yelp
Excellent service !!! Great staff! Very friendly and accommodating ! We brought in food from the place across the street because they don't serve drinks and this place took care of us!

Yelp
I've come here a couple times and love the selection of drinks and fire pit ambiance. Industry City is such a gem within NYC. Most recently I came here for Sasha Graham's Ghost Stories by the Fire featuring the authors of "A Woman Unbecoming" and that was by far the best event I've been to this Fall! I'll be back.
google avatar

Yelp
I got the hot cider on a nice 50F winter day. Still it warmed my soul with nice gingery and cinnamony notes. A very good hot cider that brings back the feeling of fall in winter. The place itself is nice but the music is a bit too loud for casual conversations. Will come back for more warm gingery goodness.

Yelp
LOVE AT FIRST SIP. Dropped by here last weekend while exploring Industry City. Ginger-flavored cocktails are among my favorite types of drinks, so when I saw the sign pointing to a ginger liquor brewery, imagine who immediately decided we were heading over right now. Walking in on a Saturday afternoon there was a steady stream of people, some stayed and some didn't. The half dozen tables were about 2/3 full during the duration of our visit. Shelves of metal casks--filled with ginger macerating in 190 proof alcohol--divide the seating area from the brewing prep areas on the right side of the space. Behind the bar are additional brewing areas. The owners and staff are very friendly--sharing information about their products and offering samples of both the ginger liquor and frozen Moscow mule. Let it suffice to say my eyes lit up upon trying both. This liquor is for true ginger lovers. Spicy. Warming. Not for those of you who like your Schweppes or Canada Dry ginger ale. This is for those who belong to the association of committed ginger-lovers, of which I am a card-carrying member. The Moscow mule was a refreshing gingery summer punch of a slushie, made with the ginger left from brewing the liquor and supposedly a considerable amount of vodka. Dangerous, dangerous stuff. I could easily drink 3 or 4 of these. Aside from the remarkable ginger drinks, they have a small encyclopedia's worth of adult beverages listed in their drink menu, including numerous bourbons and whiskeys. We did a bourbon flight ($22) and thoroughly enjoyed sampling these. There's a ginger beer/ale retail display to pick up some artisanal ginger beers if you fancy, but personally I had to buy a bottle of the ginger liquor to go--the large one is $30 and they provide a handy list of cocktail recipes so you can mix a couple dozen different drinks at home using this liquor. Excited to try these!

Yelp
Great place to grab a drink at Industry City! Indoor and outdoor seating options available. For indoor seating, you could sit inside at the bar or choose to sit at the comfy couch area, which we did. Staff were friendly, would come again if I'm in the area.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of attending a soft opening party here the other month. Barrow's is a really unique idea. They have a traditional cocktail menu where you can order off of with cocktails ranging from $8-14. All of their cocktails are ginger infused with the Barrow's Ginger Liquor. Which I tried and it was pretty delicious and spicy on its own. Great if you're a big ginger beer drinker which they also sell here. When I came in I tried their version of a frozen mule, a ginger pina colada, and a drink called the Floradora that was gin based and floral with hints of ginger. My favorite was the non frozen and less sweet option but they were all delicious cocktails. The menu goes on for close to 50 pages however because they have a collection of liquors and alcohol from a huge range of places all locally made in the state of New York. You can infuse them with ginger or just go for tastings on whatever alcohol really fits your palate. There are good things and not as great things about it all. I feel like the prices for an ounce pour is a little steep. But the nice thing is that this place also acts as a liquor store (literally) and you can purchase any of the bottles off of their menu to go pending on if its in stock. I've never heard of a place doing this kind of thing before. It's unique and really one of a kind. They don't have much food yet. Just snacks but tasty snacks like candied ginger, blue marble ice cream, and Li-Lac's ginger infused truffle candies. Also, you're sitting on top of a massive food hall so that shouldn't even be an issue. I just wish this place had some kind of happy hour.
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
If you like ginger, especially sweetened and with alcohol this is a great spot for you. There are barrels of their ginger liquor here getting ready for consumption and you can actually taste test this liquor before you have your cocktail. The liquor is chock full of ginger, I think they have a flyer with the actual amount that goes into every barrel which seems impressive. It is pretty sweet unlike what they're trying to mimick, limoncello, but the ginger flavor is very nice. It's especially good in apple cider but I dunno how long they're going to have this being that it's getting warmer. The space is a bit small for a large crowd but if you're just with another friend it'd work. They sell all kinds of ginger ale products in the front which are not chilled but ready to go. You can make your own 4 pack for a little less than the individual bottles.
google avatar

Susan V.

Yelp
Ordered a NA drink. It's $10, around $10.63 with tax. I appreciate that they try to make it still taste like an alcoholic cocktail instead of just juice. Got myself a to-go drink and it bummed me out that the cup was barely 2/3 full when the bartender handed it to me. It looked like she was being trained. At least top it off with some water or soda, sheesh. I'm looking at photos of full to go cups and mine definitely poured to the top.
google avatar

Sara R.

Yelp
I love this place! I've come a few times for the Salsa event and the scary stories around the fire pits. Addy is the best behind the bar! I can't speak for the food but the drinks, ambiance, and service are all top notch!
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
I love Barrow's Intense Ginger Liqueur a lot already (as a bar manager with a menu featuring it in a few cocktails) but their tasting room experience really seals the deal. Of course the mules are great but definitely worth trying some of their less intuitive offerings like spiked iced coffee and hot apple cider. Also love the stuffed baked potato as an obligatory food offering -- especially the Po'Taco (vegan taco meat, cheez sauce and jalapenos). The window opens up into a courtyard with plenty of seating and wall-mounted heaters (try to grab a table right under one if you're lucky enough). Just a fantastic and about as safe as you can get at the moment bar experience.
google avatar

Hong L.

Yelp
If you like Ginger, then the drinks will be to your liking. I ordered at the window and sometimes you will have to wait awhile for someone to come up to take your oder. I have only had the frozen drinks and enjoyed sipping on the drink while sitting around the firepit ( during the autumn/ winter)
google avatar

Tamira G.

Yelp
I came here for the Summer Tippler (literally the last day haha) and my short experience here was lovely. The Bartender, who name I forgot to get, was so friendly and accommodating. I got the frozen ginger mule. Guys... I could drink it every single day. I already like ginger but this drink brought my love for ginger to new heights. The cocktail was strong but so good. There's the cutest outdoor seating. Unfortunately, I came alone but when I come back Im coming in packs. Great ambiance and inviting atmosphere!
google avatar

Kenny C.

Yelp
Great option for outdoor drinking in Industry City. They've got heatlamps, live music, and a ton of drinks. If you want hot drinks, they've got em. Grab an adult hot chocolate, or a Toddy, or a cider. They also have spiked coffees, other cocktails, and even whiskey flights that come in cute little vials!
google avatar

Carissa C.

Yelp
Only went to the industry city barrows. They always have an amazing new drink to try. Warm drinks in winter and music every weds ! Great to break up the work week
google avatar

Yelp
OMG! Such a great place to sit, drink, and chat! The bartender Noah has a bag of knowledge of every each liquor he has in a place. He can crack a joke and can take one! All their signature cocktails based on ginger, and me, is not the biggest fan of it, enjoyed every sip of their IC sour cocktail, it has a very mild background hit of ginger, that compliment the sour taste of this cocktail rather than hit those notes to your face. My husband did sampling. This place supports local businesses, which I truly admire. So whatever you try here was made in the NY area. The biggest advantage of this drinking facility is that you can buy whatever you try! Definitely come back and wi tell all my friends about this place

Tommy H.

Yelp
Incredible selection of what New York's craft distillers have to offer! You can and should sample everything. The ginger liqueur and moonshine are a fantastic combination or addition to their already delicious cocktails. Many thanks are due for the fabulous service that Tamia gave me and my friends, and we owe a special thank you for introducing us to the Bronx exclusive Coquito from Pitorro. This liqueur will blow your mind, and I highly recommend pairing it with the cider. Also the peat smoked bourbon is a must for scotch and specialty bourbon fans. Thank you for an incredible evening making s'mores over a fire accompanied by amazing drinks.

Yelp
This place is great! Highly recommend any of the ginger drinks. Their rye old fashioned was ON POINT!

Yelp
After passing the sign about frozen mules to go for WEEKS, I dropped my goods off a the Post Office and came back here to see what it was all about. I got the classic frozen mule which came with some candied crystallized ginger on top. I then promptly walked it the few blocks back to my place to enjoy. It. Was. Maybe the best mule I've had. And as the drink thawed it kinda melted the sugar on the ginger and the ginger started infusing into the drink and it was great! I mean, it was a great drink to start, don't get me wrong- but it got even better as I was drinking! They also have a nice looking selection of munchies that I'll have to remember next time I'm in the mood- pulled pork baked potato? Yes please!
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
It's a fun different spin on frozen cocktails. I had 2 and boy did I feel it the next day. Don't let the ginger part deter you although I live ginger it was really nicely balanced. *Cold fashion was nice and smoky with whisky *Ginger Rita (I've likely butchered that name) was really nice coconut I enjoyed it and the outdoor seating was a nice bonus.
google avatar

Ray S.

Yelp
Service was on point! the Bartender was friendly and he made the vibe of the distillery a place you would want to drink and bring your friends next time. Ginger frozen mule was amazing too. Pretty strong alcohol and ginger taste was just right!

Yelp
A new tasting room to try local spirits. They have different tasting flights for bourbon, gin, vodka etc. Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
We stopped in this past weekend as part of the Autumn Tippler tour. This was my first time visiting Industry City and it was so dope. I've never been to an outdoor food hall before. I'm sure it's even better in the warmer weather. We redeemed our intense hot ciders. They were so delicious and easy to drink! It was perfect since the evening was chilly and we were sitting outside. We had the choice of getting the cider with either Apple Jack or Bourbon. I opted for the Apple Jack which was much sweeter but still an awesome complement. We also didn't have to order food here was a nice break from stuffing ourselves at the past two stops. The service was very friendly and prompt. After I finished my cider I got an Adult Hot Chocolate. I've had boozy hot chocolate before and this just wasn't enjoyable. Maybe because they used a super organic hot chocolate mix. I honestly think the cheap stuff blends better. I would definitely return in the warmer months!

Dylan G.

Yelp
Their frozen mule with the 151 proof on top for $2 extra made axe throwing much more challenging than it should have been. Tasty drink with really great tasting candied ginger in the mix. (Also perhaps best saved for after axe throwing.)
google avatar

Kimberly G.

Yelp
I highly recommend this place! One drink in particular, the intense cider with ginger flavors and spices, was an absolute winner and worth the trip! They also have a wide array liquors that is very impressive. The bartender and owner were also very nice and super knowledgeable.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and atmosphere. There's so many drink options and all good. Definitely want to come back and try more.

Yelp
Great customer service and delicious drinks!! Thanks Alex for working with our group!

Yelp
Been here twice now. Industry city is a beautiful space for an evening stroll and a drink here. We had a tour and it was quite informative. Our bartender E was awesome and educated us on a lot and explained that all the liquor served is locally made which is definitely cool. Even the popcorn is local !! And quite tasty might I add. Def worth a stop for a cozy drink or a sip outside on the patio which was quite pleasant.

Angelyn L.

Yelp
First off I want to say that their drinks are really good I had the Ginger Palmer and it was really tasty. I'm giving it a 2 star because of the service. The guy serving me was really rude. He was having a conversation with someone and I was waiting patiently for them to finish or him to say "hold on, let me tend to this customer." Instead, he looked at me with an annoyance, like I interrupted his conversation to serve me a drink. I would go back again if he's not doing the serving.
google avatar

Yelp
The cocktails and adult iced coffee are fantastic. The staff is always super friendly as well. I'm a fan.
google avatar

Kiki T.

Yelp
This place is amazing!! I am a lover of ginger but I never knew how much until I discovered this place and it's ginger alcohol! Everything is made in the store. I love the taste of the alcohol and my usual drink is an intense Moscow mule. The staff here is very friendly and always willing to give out samples and talk to customers. Whenever I come to industry city, I always show people this place and it's usually a hit. They also sell bottles which make a great gift for people.

Yelp
Oh my God, Barrow's Intense Tasting Room was truly incredible. They have so many selections and prices are great. Every menu item that we have ordered was super fresh and flavorful. The crew was really pleasant and service is extremely good. Barrow's Intense Tasting Room - I will come back here again.
