The environment is very good. Feel like having lunch home. The waitress is lovely, I mean it, lovely! She explains the menu clearly and she’s patience. Unfortunately we don’t have lunch alcohol habit, otherwise we could have some drinks and try out the different life style. Foods, great. We all have our plate emptied! Recommended.

This place truly stole my heart! 💕 The service was so warm and friendly. And the food… oh, the food! I had the best lobster and mussels of my life here — fresh, perfectly cooked, and absolutely unforgettable. A hidden gem I’ll be dreaming about until my next visit! 🦞✨ Thank you!

One of the best seafood restaurants have ever been to, highlight of the trip so far and would highly recommend for anyone staying in the area! We had a mix of the seafood surprise menu (which is a surprise!) and the a la carte, all of which were excellent. Really well thought out flavours, and the seafood was all cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Wonderful view, relaxed atmosphere and feels quite understated letting the food do all the talking. Thank you for a brilliant evening!

Love this place, super food nice low key relaxed atmosphere great service from the friendly staff. Visited for my birthday with my wife, had a super experience, went for the surprise seafood menu and it was fantastic. Felt like I got looked after personally but the chiefs choices of course. All the food tasted great, excellent presentation and verified complementary flavours. Would recommend and will be going back as soon as I can.

The food was nice but I had to order a side dish with my main dish otherwise I would be still hungry. It happened before when I order fish. The fish was small and had to order vegetables separately. I was still hungry after. The atmosphere and staff are nice. I think a bit over priced for what you are getting. That just me.

I have been thinking about this restaurant and its amazing Irish brown bread since coming here in 2018 with a tour group. So when my husband and I planned our Ireland trip for this year, I knew we had to go back. Our seafood surprise dinner did not disappoint! Each course was fabulous and delicious - our favorite meal of the whole trip. Love that the chef incorporates seasonal produce from the garden. The sunset view was spectacular as well! (As were the adorable neighbor cows!) The waiter who took our order suggested that we order sides as he said the portions were small, however we didn’t think sides were needed - the five courses felt appropriately sized to us. Service was slow between courses, so just allow time to not be in a rush.

Wonderful food, great service, incredible views. We had the place to ourselves from 6pm to 7pm, felt like a reserved experience. Sea Food Surprise dish ended up being €60, but was worth it for the presentation.

Had an amazing lunch, the oysters were fresh and the atmosphere very welcoming and friendly. I will dream about the house bread.

This is the most amazing meal I have had in a decade. We stumbled in through yelp and they squeezed us in without a reservation. I am beyond grateful for that kindness. The food is made with the freshest of ingredients. I am told they have two green houses, chickens, fresh herbs. The seafood surprise was truely amazing.

This was so delicious! My son highly recommends that you have Salmon, sweet and savory. Amazing place!

We just finished having an amazing meal at Barrtrá! My husband and I are visiting from the United States and stopped by after viewing the Cliffs of Moher. The meal, the service and the ambience far exceeded our expectations. The "surprise" meal was absolutely delightful. Our server, Molly, was attentive and engaging. We were treated to a spectacular sunset as well. Our visit to Barrtrá has been the highlight of our holiday in Ireland. Thank you!

I enjoyed the surprise seafood menu on a lovely even a few weeks back. The restaurant is indeed very cozy, a little rustic and certainly casual. The staff was very pleasant as well! If you are in the are to see the Cliffs of Moher, make sure you stop in here for dinner!

It would be a shame to visit the area and not dine here. For starters the atmosphere was perfect. Casual, elegant yet rustic. Amazing coastal views and you feel like you're dining in a green house. Plus a cute wood fired stove with couches around it for your after dinner drinks. We were offered and chose the surprise seafood menu, which meant we only told the waitress anything we didn't like and everything else was taken care of. Every dish was well executed down to the small details including edible flowers and a hand made gin and tonic sorbet between courses. The mussels were probably the best I've ever had. The service was casual but kind and attentive, including the chef bringing half of the dishes out herself. With a nice bottle of wine and stuffed to the brim dinner came out to less than €100, we would expect to pay at least twice as much for this meal anywhere else! PS The homemade brown bread is the best we had in Ireland!

Can I give them 6 stars??? Stopped here on holiday after visiting the Cliffs of Moher, it was wonderful!!! After going on a local eco foraging expedition with a lovely naturalist ( Oonagh O'Dwyer) we finished at Barrtra with a farm to table meal any foodie will love. We sat looking out over a beautiful field with views of the Atlantic and the hilltops of the cliffs of Mohr. The salad was perfect and included edible flowers. The lentils in filo dough was so flavorful light and flaky. The salmon was exceptional with a pleasant smoked flavor. And dessert was a yummy apple crumble with a side of custard. It was one of the best meals we have had. Thanks for a marvelous time. Another reward for traveling off the beaten path.

After have a golf round at Lahinch it was a very good moment there. Excellent seafood surprise menu well done. Clean and just perfect! Many thanks to all the team.
