I went with my two sons (11 and 15) and we all said this was one of the best experience we had in NZ. Steven and Robin were amazing and very patient with the kids. The workshop teaches you how to make a knife from basic steel and wood to a finish, beautiful product. We highly recommend Steven and Robin's workshop

Fantastic day with Steven and Robyn. Well run course, excellent banter and the final product is epic. Hands down one of the best one day experiences in NZ. Stevens one liners might be some of the best I’ve ever heard too!

Absolutely fantastic day out! Due to another group pulling out we were the only two people making knives today, hence we got the undivided attention and companionship of Steven and Robyne. They were so friendly and hospitable and made our knife making process a lot of fun. It was an incredible experience to go from a rustic piece of steel and wood to an amazing quality usable knife. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and whole day and highly recommend it.

What an awesome day learning how to forge steel and turning into a knife of our own design. Stephen and Robyn were awesome hosts and Steven's humor is second to none. This is a really unique experience and a day never to forget.

My partner and I had the best day with steve and robin learning and making knives. Tucked away in a beautiful part of the west coast and freedom camping in town by the beach. The day was full of laughs and easy teachings, everyone there walked away with an awesome hand made knife from scratch and great memories. Nice locally made sheaths available for purchase to house the blade. Fantastic people and well worth a stop in. Cheers robin and steve will definitely be back when were next in your part of the world.

Had an amazing day with Steven and Robyn learning how to make knives. Starting from bit of steel, hammering it into shape, all the way up to the finished product! Lunch was provided with a make yourself toasties and even free beer at the end. Highly recommend if you're passing through!
