Barzura

I have dined here several times. The staff are all so friendly and the service is top notch. Make a reservation to enjoy the best views of the beach from the large windows or eat outside to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze. Inside or outside, the experience is guaranteed to be amazing. I will go back with friends but as a solo traveler I was treated well and made to feel at home. I highly recommend the salmon.

My wife and I flew up from Melbourne and spent 4 days at the picturesque Coogee Beach in NSW in Feb of this year to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We came across Barzura which is located some 100 metres across the road or beachside where we dined there on 2 separate occasions as the ocean view, friendly caring staff and food were fantastic. Highly recommended and we will certainly head back there when we are next in Sydney.

Barzura is next to Coogee Beach and offers a great view over the ocean. We’ve had a delicious breakfast with Shakshuka and Eggs Benedict with sourdough bread and added avo, feta and halloumi. The bread was crispy, the bacon was perfectly fried and fresh spinach with the hollandaise sauce were a perfect combination! The eggs were on point in both dishes. The Shakshuka was actually a little spicy which I really liked. Both were absolutely amazing! The juices were so refreshing! Thanks a lot and we’ll come back!

What an amazing atmosphere for a dinner with views of the ocean! We stumbled upon this place when our first choice was fully booked--were we pleasantly surprised! The food here is a delightful combination of Aussie-inspired flavors and Asian fusion. It truly exceeded our expectations. This place is perfect for a well-deserved rest after completing the Bondi to Coogee walk. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Must try the steam date pudding with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert.

Such a welcoming and friendly place, they always find you a table and it’s right beside the beach. Eclectic menu (not a word I usually use but it’s apt here) with a slight Asian slant. Good wines, although there’s no such thing as an inexpensive bottle anywhere these days. Small but interesting dessert list and good coffee to finish.

I booked out the whole restaurant for a company event in March 2025 and it couldnt have been a greater night. Yuli and her staff there were amazing! We had canapes and cocktails on the terrace overlooking the beach and then mains and dessert for a seated meal inside. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. 10/10 would highly reccommend ! Thanks Barzura team and especially Yuli :)

Really great breakfast menu and food. Service could do with some work. Slow.

The staff told us they were running a 30th-anniversary special with a meal and drink for $30. I ordered the seafood chowder and a non-alcoholic grapefruit soda. The seafood chowder was packed with seafood and came with two slices of sourdough, leaving me really full. I was seated at a table with an ocean view, which made for a great atmosphere and a perfect way to spend the afternoon.
