We visited for lunch after a team meeting and it was a great place to stop. Easy to get to and lots of parking. Many food options available and they all sounded so delicious that the only problem was deciding on which one. Plenty of seating and shade as well as a central bar. Washrooms and facilities were immaculate , don’t let the condition of some of the building fool you. Everyone was friendly and there were a few vendors on site selling other goods, we there on a Thursday so I can image there are more options on a weekend and later in the summer season. Looks like a great venue for live music as well.

Stopped by Base31 for lunch and a quick walk about on 19/07/2025. So pleased we did!! Went into the Visitor Center and learned about what Base31 is and the direction it is going from the young woman working that day. Sorry, didn't get her name! :) She was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient in her teachings. What an amazing idea, great potential, and interesting environment. We hope to go to a few upcoming concerts ... SO COOL!! I look forward to visiting and experiencing all the growth!

Base31 camping is not ready for campers. Lacking showers and washroom facilities for campers. The showers are actually green rooms for the performers in the event halls, so there are very few to serve campers and a very long walk from the designated camp sites. My shower reservation was 5pm the next day. Washrooms are closed in the morning, so hold your shits and forget about brushing your teeth at a sink. Portable toilets are available, but gross. No water station facilities to fill water bottles even though it was advertised, you can buy the $4 Flow water from the bar. Camp sites are small, and really expensive for what they give you. It's an airport, so the grounds are flat and comfortable. No trees or any shades so it can get very hot. Someone had a heat stroke while we're there. All the driveways and parking lot is full of broken asphalt, raised drain grates and tons of pot holes. Unpaved roads adding to the dust, my stuff was covered in dust by the next morning. A few pop up shops serving meals at the commissary, but they get overrun by the crowd, can't keep up with the orders, and often run out of food. We have been refused to take our orders 2x while we are there. Be prepared to find alternatives. No vending machines nearby, so even if you need any kind of essentials, need to drive back to town. Lots of security around, mostly to keep people out of the concert halls or access to the washrooms in the morning. We booked a premium camping site and said it comes with a goodies bag... It has a couple of maps of the base and PEC, and a bunch of advertisments, I wouldn't say it is a goodies bag, it was junk mail in a bag. Base31 is a good idea for events but just not quite ready yet. Hope they will improve, until then, better off going to Sandbanks or check in at a local motel for the next event than to camp at Base31

This place is so nice !! I couldn't believe there wasn't more people. Lots of tables, comfy chairs, couches, umbrellas... Very trendy spot, everything is so clean, well decorated, good ambiance. I really hope for them it's busy in high season or in the weekends ! Lots of toys, family friendly. Yard games available. Definitely a spot for everyone!

We had an amazing Team Building and Festive Celebration at Moir House, Base 31. The venue is a great spot for smaller gatherings, facilities are top notch and Kat was great to work with before and during the day. Thank you Base 31 for helping to make our get-together memorable.

As a former Soldier it was on honour to be part of base 31 and it's very unique heritage. I was blown away with its transformation into a modern day facility with live music and bright lights and intrigued with the people and atmosphere it provides. I love that i can tour the facility for free with my Veteran card and free for all military. Thanks Base 31 for an eye opening experience!!! ❤️ Amazing Venue!!! ❤️ 👏 🤩 Amazing Artists!

I had a wonderful sourdough bread and bagel workshop at Base 31. It was a great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming. Elmbrook farms did a brilliant job of guiding us through the ins and outs of sour dough baking. Rob and Marie supplied everything we need to use these new skills at home.

Base31 is an amazing venue for hosting events! We’ve held two events here—one in the Sergeant Mess Hall and another in the Pilot’s Lounge—and both were absolutely seamless. The spaces are beautiful, and the staff is incredibly accommodating, always going above and beyond to make sure everything runs smoothly and that their clients are happy. Highly recommend Base31 for any special occasion!

Yelp
This is a fascinating place to wander around. There is a thriving little business area that the public can wander around in, get something to eat, & pick up souvenirs. This is also in the WWII era airport, which seems to be still used for training, as the landing strip is still maintained even if the old buildings are not renovated. It appears to be closed for half the week, as it was on the day we went here. However, there were still people here. And we were not kicked out for not being pilots!!

Yelp
A group of us went to Base 31's Stuff'd dumplings festival in 2024 and our reviews are mixed. The panzerotti that we bought were excellent in taste but there were not a lot of choice in food and no potstickers for sale. There were 20-30 minute line ups in the hot sun for food and cold drinks, with nowhere to sit and eat, and not enough shady areas to get relief from the burning sun for the seniors in our group. The place was packed with people. So the marketing was successful but then the food vendors ran out of food.
