A 4.5. For those wanting to grab one or two bites at mid day, these friendly place have some of the best chichettes ( small tapas over bread ) I had in Venice. Super friendly and attentive service, large variety of tasty chichettes or small sandwiches, great beer on tap and good wine list, and good pricing. Sit outside, relax, and watch a younger crowd with less tourists walking down Garibaldi street.

Very nice bar. Few tourists come here. Large selection of beers and wine. Also nice "sandwiches". Clean and nice. We will definitely come back. I recommend

Great wine selection with ciccheti and arancini options. When I went there in Dec 2023, they had a small bowl of an Indian curry, called cicchetoni, which was served with seasonned pieces of bread. This was surprisingly one of the best Indian food I had outside of India! Could not believe how good it was. Highly recommend and will be visiting them again on my next trip to Venice. Hopefully they make it with paneer, Indian cheese, next time!

best cicchetti in town, good quality and very friendly stuff

The true strength of Basegó lies in its cuisine. The cicchetti, or typical Venetian tapas, are prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients and are a real delight for the palate. I had the opportunity to try a variety of cicchetti, including those with creamed cod, octopus and vegetables, and smoked salmon. They were all exquisite and prepared with care. In addition to cicchetti, Basegó also offers a wide selection of craft beers, spritz and wines. I tried some local craft beers and a classic Venetian spritz, perfect for accompanying the cicchetti. The prices are absolutely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Ultimately, Basegó is a place that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience authentic Venetian cuisine. Very nice intimate place for lunch / dinner. Prices are great, our whole meal and 2 glasses of wine cost €15. There is a great selections of wines and small snacks, Chicchetti. This is the perfect place to eat and drink away from all the tourist restaurants.
