Basegone was my favorite "Cicchetti" stop on a food tour. We got to try two cicchetti each around noon. At this time there were plenty of options to pick from, each tasted amazing! We liked it so much we stopped by again around 7:00 PM a different night and this place was SLAMMED. They were pretty much sold out of cicchetti. The place was also the embodiment of chaos around this time.

Nice pace to have a drink outside and if you are lucky enough to meet musicians paying and singing.

Don't come here! Awful service. When I walked in there was a big tour group at the front with a tour guide explaining next to the cicchetti display. I walked around the group to the counter and asked to get some cicchetti. The waiter very bluntly told me no and that I have to wait for the tour group to pick theirs first. By that time the tour group had already been talking for many minutes and nobody had picked what they wanted yet. I said I'll leave but then the waiter got the tour guide involved and they both started to tell me off?! It is bizarre - I just said if you didn't want to serve me then I will leave. If you don't prepare enough cicchetti to sell to customers other than the tour group then expect that customers will go elsewhere

Hidden gem for cicchetti (I saw a lot of locals come here) and the prices were super inexpensive! A great spot to eat and just sit down, drink an aperol spritz and relax.

Brilliant little place with a good selection of drinks and nibbles. When we were there, two tour groups stopped to try the food. Highly recommended.

Great place located on charming Campo S. Toma, delicious coffee and little sandwiches prices are great and stuff very nice and helpful, it is place that you have to visit while in Venice, just seat with coffee and enjoy sun on the square. I hope that this place will stay here forever so I can come here every time I’m in Venice.

A lovely place located in a quiet little piazza away from the swarms of people,10 mins from the train station. Offers a wide selection of delicious cicchetti with such interesting ingredient combinations at modest prices. Definitely not a tourist trap...excellent service and great Spritzes too (not watered down like most places!)

Excellent service and guidance by the staff as to what to try. Excellent quality for our 1st chicchetti experience washed down with an Aperol spritz. Very easy on the pocket aswell compared to other establishments in Venice serving chicchetti.
